I'd give this place ten stars if I could. Hands down some of the best Indian food I've ever had, and the absolute kindest, most attentive staff and owners EVER. Let me start by saying we've eaten at every Indian restaurant in the area for years. Some were good, some were bad, most didn't make it, and this one is the best. We were a party of 6 adults and two small children. The owner kept checking on us and chatting with my littles. Here's what we ordered: 1. Mixed tandoori - this was nothing short of perfect. All the meat was tender, the shrimp wasn't over cooked, the lamb chunks were perfect. You get tons of food. I feel like tandoori is always so dry, but not here. I brought the leftovers to my mom (who doesn't care for Indian food) and she's going on and on right now about how good it is. 2. Chicken korma - delicious thigh meat in a perfect creamy sauce. I asked for it medium spicy and it was EXACTLY how I'd classify as medium. My husband loved this dish so much. 3. Cheese naan for the kids and garlic cheese naan for us. It was pillowy and perfect. Honestly the best naan I've ever had. We also got mango lassis for the kids. My son hates yogurt and he drank the whole thing. 4. Samosas were huge and delicious. They serve it with a generous serving of various sauces. I love that their tamarind sauce isn't overly sweet. Nothing was overly sweet in general, which we really appreciated. We came here hungry on a Sunday. The owner Tek, greeted us at the door. He told us we could sit anywhere so we chose the bar! We had the honor of being served by him and it was such a great experience. He immediately surprised us with two cups of lentil soup. The food was delicious!! The flavors are perfect, the sauce is creamy and the ingredients are fresh. The level 2 had the perfect level of spice without being too hot. It is true that getting the food takes a while. We couldn't be more happy to have this delicious Indian food restaurant in Heladsburg. We have eaten here numerous times now and have never once been disappointed. Due to the extreme lack of available help in restaurants, they have only one or two servers but we've never experienced an issue with delays of service. The mixed grill tandoori plate is the best I've ever had - each type of meat is moist and perfectly seasoned and cooked. The lamb is tender and perfectly seasoned in the korma dish. It's football Sunday and the Niners are playing in an hour. We're hungry and I just read on NextDoor that Bollywood Kitchen opened yesterday! I went online, looked up their menu and saw that I could not only order online, but pay as well! We ordered Tandoori Chicken, Vegetable Biryani, Steamed Veggies, Butter Naan, Daal Soup, Cilantro Chutney and Peas Pulao. Once the order was accepted, a notice said it would be ready in 35 minutes. Perfect! When I arrived to pick up my order, they were packing it. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly but the best thing, absolutely best thing, was the food! OMG! Neither of us have had better Tandoori or Daal, anywhere! And the Biryani was fabulous! Plus, there was enough food for another meal and a half if not more. The spices were lovely and the heat was perfect. We will definitely be back. Thank you Bollywood for coming to Healdsburg! We need more GOOD ethnic food places and this one is fabulous! Do not do the lunch specials. Portions are half the dinner size, to the point of only 3 medium size shrimp in the coconut shrimp for lunch. Not enough protein! The flavor was very good, but ridiculously small portion. I said something to the server and he brought more shrimp. Again, flavor was very good. Medium spicy was perfect. Chicken vindaloo had about 2oz of chicken in the lunch special. They need to fix this. Chicken vindaloo wasn't the best flavors. Wouldn't order that again. I hope they fix things to succeed here. I have ordered meals from Bollywood via Door Dash and I 've been very pleased both times. My biggest discovery is the coconut soup. It's simple and spectacular. Naan is an ample portion to accompany any meal, and to sop up the delicious sauce from butter chicken. The basmati rice is prepared light, fluffy, and I decided that I like it very much with mango chutney. Overall, I 'm delighted that Bollywood is here and that I can have it delivered. read more

This is one of those cursed spaces where restaurants go to die. I've seen it turn over every few years. Space feels empty, cold and uninviting. This restaurant hasn't done much to improve on it. The sauces feel artificial and overly thickened. A few pieces of protein swimming in a goopy thick sauce. We've eaten take out a few times in a pinch but I'd rather skip it and head to Windsor for the Himalaya. Much better. They've somewhat recently added a dish called Joe Rogan or Rogan Joe for some reason which explains too much about them for my taste. Maybe they think sounding that (T)rumpet will bring them more customers. Seems like a stretch in this town, however. read more

Don't let the fact that they're in a location where several restaurants have failed. Bollywood is delicious and, unlike most restaurants in Healdsburg, it's reasonable in price. Fantastic and I'm not a huge fan of this kind of food's flavor profile. But I absolutely am with Bollywood. It bums me out to see empty seats especially when there are amazing dishes, kind folks, a clean and nice spot and EXCELLENT lunch specials. I'm down for the Hbg high end fare at 5-6 out of 10 Hbg spots some of Feb time, but for a budget conscious person, I hate trying to keep up with tourist prices. This is a solve with just great food! I know a lot of people are turned off from the location because it seems to be one of those "spots "that has hit or misses but this is definitely a hit so I hope it stays!!
