KOBO Capitol Hill is tucked away at one end of Broadway on a cute little corner that's easy to miss if you're not looking. They have an AMAZING collection of local and international art, books, and other small finds that make it feel like a new experience every time you visit. They also have virtual art shows featuring new artists every month, offering them platform to show off new work in a time where it might not otherwise happen. Due to Covid, they've taken a lot of precautions for their customers and staff, which I really appreciate. Private shopping sessions can be booked online, and curbside pick up was a really smooth experience!

Some uphill walks but it was a nice walk actually. The museum is free which is nice you walk through and it is pretty much filled with many unique rooms, each with different pieces of art. It was pretty quiet but I do enjoy the placement of every piece. It's not a big museum so this probably won't take up so much time.

It allows for local artists to grow and collaborate with one another. The Fishbowl is also the finding group for the Uptown artwalk. The space has been so welcoming and I love coming here to meet with other artists! I've made some great friends! The interaction came across as very passive-aggressive and honestly felt like racial harassment. No one should feel watched or accused while just existing and creating content peacefully. This experience made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable, and I hope management takes situations like this more seriously in the future.

Without barriers and when the displays are right in the middle of the room, I think this widely varies from person to person. Yelling at patrons isn't ever a good idea. I hustled out of there pretty fast after that experience.
