Things aren't improving here. After I ordered, paid, and received my order I noticed they had a 62% Health Department rating. Drive-thru line is still EXTREMELY slow even if it's just 3-4 cars. On June 29, 2019 I called Bojangles' in Shepherdsville KY and placed and order to be picked up at 5:30p.m. July 4, 2019. My order included that I wanted the chicken fresh. Upon arrival on July 4 at 5:20 p.m. Requesting my order the manager said they were dropping my chicken. During the cooking process the manager came back and told me 2 more mins. Brand NEW location but guess what? Apparently the owner/manager is such a jerk he can't keep it staffed. The kids and I have tried to enjoy a family meal, but EVERY TIME we have tried..... Sorry the dining area is closed. Drive thru only. This is INEXCUSABLE for a new restaurant. Hate to be negative, but I can't tell you of the inside environment, of staff. Drive thru should be an option, not a requirement for the customer. This makes the new location non family friendly. Owner needs to become a professional and treat everyone as such. I used to eat Bojangles often with my parents as a kid. In fact, it was of the few drive-thrus we frequented. So when I was driving down on I-65 and saw there was a Bojangles en route, I jumped at the chance. At after 9 p.m., I worried they would be closed, but their drive-thru was still available. Service was fast and kind. After one bite, the memories came flooding back. For a brief moment, that spicy chicken flavor made me feel 10 again. Both the chicken and biscuit were a bit too greasy for my taste now, but if I'm ever in the mood for a bit of nostalgia, I'll be back. The dirty rice wasn't as fantastical as I remembered... but then again, it was decades ago that I'd had that flavor. And I'm willing to try it again in the future. I decided to give Bojangles a second chance. What. A. Mistake. My first experience: I went through the drive thru pretty late and the fries were hard and cold. The biscuit was hard as a rock But I understood because Ive worked in fast food before. So a few months later (after their rating went up from a D) I decide to try it again. This time..I ordered the same thing except I got Mac and cheese instead of French fries. The chicken tenders were way undercook. Noted by the soggy crust and plastic like ends of the tender. The Mac and cheese was edible though. The chicken is horrendous. Literally Dairy Queen has better chicken tenders and they have concession stand chicken tenders dude. Also they have no real management and the place is being run by children. Anyway, that's my experience and I will not be going back. Pray that I don't get food poisoning y'all. We like this place for dinner, and decided to stop by for a *quick* breakfast. While we like hot chicken, and the dinners are excellent here (with wait time and decent service) we waited 25 minutes in line and nearly drove off. The order came out wrong, (four sandwiches ordered and we only received three had we not checked the bag.. it was still wrong but we were on the road and decided to do without the 2nd sausage sandwich). The coffee was mediocre but the sweet tea is excellent. We are still feeling the buzz! I would give this one star, but everything was piping hot when they handed us the bag and we were up-scaled us from a small to medium drinks, acknowledging the long wait. For past lunches and dinners, the place is packed and there is a wait, and we like to walk in for dinner. We will avoid the drive-thru next time as we saw people circle around, walk in and walk out with a to-go order in hand. read more

Never disappointed in Bojangles food, but the Restaurant in Shepherdsville, KY, is filthy, under staffed, and very inefficient on completing our order. It is the only location near our current travel routes so we will continue to stop there to get our "Bojangles fix". Please don't judge all Bojangles franchises by this one. read more

My kids are big fans of Bojangles they love the chicken. This Bojangles is less than a mile from the house so we like to just drop by and pick up food if we are in a hurry or the kids are super hungry. Always a line around 7-8 but anytime before that is good to come. read more

Stopped in here today with my family, the staff were incredibly rude, there was a huge spill over by the drink station and when a lady asked if anyone would be able to clean it up one of the staff at the register said "can't you tell I'm "f"ing busy" and when my Mother complained after my sister slipped on it she then yelled "then take your ugly ass self, your baby and your autistic daughter out if you don't like it." I honestly don't know why there are so many bad reviews about this place but my first time visiting here was a pleasant and quick experience and I ordered one of the largest meals off the menu. I thought the employees there were super nice and accommodating and they even made sure I was content with everything before I even left. But despite the good service, when I finally got down to eating Bojangles that's when I realize it's really not worth the hype that everyone makes it out to be. If anything it's just a tad bit better than KFC although not by that much with way better customer service. To be honest I'm actually a little disappointed that I drove 20-25 mins to this place expecting to eat some bomb ass chicken when their chicken and sides aka fixins weren't all that great beside it being a little more moister & crispier than most fried chicken restaurants but kinda flavorless. I made the mistake of attempting get dinner at this unpleasant establishment, one fateful evening. I could smell food burning from the moment I left my vehicle in the parking lot. The manager was giving refunds to people who had been waiting 30 to 40 minutes for their orders. I know, I should have turned around and left but, my mother-in-law was over for a special occasion and Bojangles was her one request. I wait 20 minutes just to order and the long wait had commenced once paid for my order. 45 minutes went by and in this time, an employee who was off that day, went to the front of the line asking if he could clock in and help. He was out of uniform and wearing sandals too so, as expected, the manager forbid him from clocking in. He then walked around saying, "I'm sorry everyone! I tried!" Once we finally received our food, it was cold and burnt. I will not return to this establishment for some time. read more

I like Bojangles, BUT this locations food (specifically it's biscuits) are just ..meh. Bojangles use to have buttery biscuits that were a little 'crunchy' on the outside. They were delicious. Waited in line at 3pm on a Tuesday 20 mins to order. Still waiting 25 mins later to receive my order afterwards. I don't like the people with long hair wear it down with no hairnet; seems so unsanitary. The much anticipated Bojangles' restaurant has finally opened in Shepherdsville. As one of the first customers on the first day, the service I received was friendly, the manager on duty made sure my drink was topped off and took great interest in making sure my visit was memorable. Not to mention, the food was really good. My favorite side dish (or fixin' as they like to call it) is the dirty rice. Breakfast is served all day, so you can get a chicken or sausage biscuit for lunch or dinner if you want. You better watch your back KFC. Bojangles can expect repeat business from me. read more

Great chicken and sides! Unfortunately due to it being a new and budding business it's really rather hard getting into it at a time that conveniences your family. Now being busy at a business doesn't make it a bad place, specially when it's opening during it's infancy. I'm still on the fence about this Bojangles location. On my first dining experience here I witnessed an employee sweep the floor with his broom and then sweep off a table near me. That did me in for a long time! But I've slowly been giving them another chance. (Hopefully that guy doesn't work there anymore!) since that experience I've been back twice for breakfast. The combo meal chicken and biscuit is quickly becoming a go to treat. The chicken has always seemed freshly cooked and the biscuit is not dry but does seem a little greasy. I can live with that though. It tastes fantastic! You also get some hashrounds with the combo meal. They're your normal deep fried round hash brown that you dip in ketchup and enjoy. Wash all that down with a soft drink and you've got yourself a decent breakfast. Although let's be honest, it's the chicken and biscuit that steals the show. I might give the lunch and dinner menu another try but for now their breakfast has my tastebuds! read more

You'd get your food faster if you drive to Louisville. Their drive thru is and has been incapable of handling more than one car at a time since this location opened. Don't make the mistake of seeing one car in the drive thru and assume they're slow. You'll still sit there waiting and waiting and waiting until you drive off. read more

Not very impressed with Bojangles after waiting months and months for it to open. I have gotten food here twice and every time, my chicken tenders are cold and almost brown from sitting in the warming drawer. My sides are always cold. Absolutely the worst. The first time I came through I ordered all white meat 8 pc family meal and thought that was all breast, my mistake. Instead of refunding all and re ringing me at the correct price since it was MY mistake, she just wanted to charge full price for 2 breast (they only had 2 available instead of the 4 additional I wanted smh) which was like $7 for 2 breasts. I got a full refund and said forget it. It took 3 days for my refund. I decided to give it a second try (I was still a bit sour they wanted to charge me that much for 2 breast instead of reringing it correctly from my mistake) so this time around (today) I learned my lesson and ordered the 8 pc family and said it 3 times for ALL BREAST. I had to wait about 8 minutes pulled up to the cone. Checked my ordered and I have 4 breast and 4 wings. I call them, I get the manager I dealt with last time and stated there are 4 cars in line to order and my order is wrong I ordered all breast. Apparently she wrung it up incorrectly and they wanted me to wait in line (while my food is getting cold) reorder, refund my money, re charge me their correct amount for 4 more breasts that I would have to wait on AGAIN, while my food is getting cold. Nope, I'm not waiting for a refund to hit my account again, I'm not waiting while my food gets cold and I'm not waiting from YOUR MISTAKE!!!!! The correct thing would have been to apologize to me, tell me to pull up to a parking spot near the door to bypass the line and give me the rest of my breasts for my meal. Instead you argued stating you heard someone say breast but not all breast and it already comes with 4 so you'll need to refund and re charge and yes I'll have to wait and no you won't remake my order. Ridiculous. I will be contacting corporate or a district manager over this. The woman in charge at this location needs to be fired. Waste of my time driving from hillview to this location. I often go to this bojangles because I generally enjoy the food. However they will not be receiving service from me for a while now. My cousin went yesterday and spoke of having problems with a "younger gentleman" on the speaker. Tonight I go through on my way to work, and a younger gentleman asked me three times what I wanted, and then said "I'm sorry, did you want the Big Mac meal?" And proceeded to laugh in the speaker.
