I normally don't do reviews of chain restaurants, let alone fast food, but I had to call this one out! I was on a road trip down south to the Nashville area from Louisville, and soon after getting on the highway leaving Louisville, I quickly got back off the highway when I saw a sign for BOJANGLES! As a midwesterner, I discovered Bojangles very late in life and now I take every opportunity I find to eat there and this was a perfect one. This Bojangles is located right off the highway, so it was a very easy and simple "detour" to make! I went through the drive-thru so can't attest to the ambiance inside the establishment, but I can tell you that the service through the drive-thru was awesome. They were super patient as my friend and I figured out what we wanted as my friend had never been there before and then we got our food PIPING HOT in no time! We just pulled into one of the parking spaces to eat in the car and everything was SO delicious! I had asked for a side of ranch to dip my chicken tenders in and my friend asked for honey mustard. We got two honey mustards, but the honey mustard pairs so well with the chicken too that I truly did not mind at all. This is some of the best fast food, let alone CHICKEN that I have ever had in my life. The fries are mid and the biscuits are likewise phenomenal! My favorite is ultimately the chicken tenders, but also the Bo'Berry Biscuits - these live rent free in my brain and I can't wait until the next time I'm able to go to a Bojangles and enjoy all the magnificent food again!

Bojangles located in Shepherdsville Kentucky just off the expressway exit in a large area of other fast food and dining establishments. Bojangles had a pretty strong foothold in the Lousiville and surrounding cities about 20 years ago. Then one day they disappeared. A few years ago bojangles made there triumphant return with this location right here. For those who aren't familiar bojangles is a fast food chicken chain. They serve pretty much the same menu items as competitors like chicken fil a, Popeyes or zaxbys. Personally I enjoy there chicken San which and always choose the wild rice as a side. Pricing here can be high at times and the Service is generally slow (maybe they don't claim to fast food). Overall bojangles is a solid chicken spot. While I'm more a chick Fil a guy I do like bojangles overall menu more then I do Popeyes or zaxbys.

Living in CA, I missed my favorite chicken fried steak biscuit for far too many years from when I used to live on the East Coast. Traveling from GA back to KY I stopped and indulged, I had so missed it. Just like I remembered soft, pillowy, well balanced biscuit, matched with a perfectly seasoned chicken fried steak--- total and complete nirvana experience. Can't wait till I get to taste again. Yum

Not the friendliest or the cleanest bojangles I have been too. The boys running the cash register were quite rude and they had every excuse for not making their famous burr-berry biscuits. Very disappointed, in the flavor of my chicken tenders, the cashier was they were like walmart only crisper! Unfortunately he was right;( The sides tasted like that sat there all day. I normally love this place, but this location I would skip.

Traveling from Michigan to Kentucky we were all looking forward to having dinner at Bojangles since there are none in Michigan. We place our order 2 plus hours prior to closing were told we're out of the white sausage gravy..... Our grill is off so we can't make the sausage and egg biscuits you want so their recommendation is the plain sausage and cheese biscuit which is beyond dry and hard. Ordered green beans as one of our side dishes and to be quite honest they were horrible with no taste swimming in water. I've had the same when I was in elementary school and those ones back then 50 years ago I think may have tasted better Overall horrible experience and very rude employees working there!

Menu line with this kind worker.

If you've got a spare 30 minutes to wait for fast food then you're going to the right spot. Horribly slow and no sense of urgency.

When we arrived we saw the tables outside, it was kinda windy and chilly so we hoped there were tables inside. There weren't but the stars are for Vanessa Galan! She promptly greeted us and told us about the establishment. I was looking around, taking pictures and she handed me a menu. I saw they had a location in Mt. Washington! She told me they were a larger location with tables indoors, and more of the experience we wanted for lunch. She did recommend the chili and pulled pork. I will say that this location has brisket (which I was strongly considering) and MW does not. But Vanessa was explaining that her brother and sister in law (Kim - she's awesome!) own them. Love supporting local, family owned so we headed to Mt. Washington. Also she explained that she makes the marinades and applies them to the marinated meats herself. Thanks Vanessa! The sandwich was small and not that tasty unfortunately for the price especially. It had no Smokey flavor and just tasted like pulled beef roast on a roll with bbq sauce. I did not enjoy and was really wanting to like it. I'll give it another shot with another food item but I'll pass on this sandwich

Once inside we got in line to order with a person. (Panera's push to kiosk ordering? Not a fan. I'll never embrace it.) I think our order taker was new because someone had to show her where the food item I ordered was located on the register. I generally order the same thing every time and it's an "off menu" item, but still available. After ordering and going to get our drinks we saw a sign that the ice machine was down. Strange, but it happens. Iced tea isn't iced tea without ice, so that wasn't appealing to me. Likewise any of the fountain drinks, since it's the ice that cools the beverage and helps maintain carbonation. That leaves whatever-temperature-the-drink-comes-out-at. Bummer, because I LOVE Panera's iced tea. I don't know if there an event or a convention or just an unreasonable gathering of kids, but there were A LOT of kids on this visit. An annoyingly large number of kids. Food delivery was kind of lengthy, made even worse by all. the. kids. My sandwich was good, but not awesome, and my room temperature tea (-ice) wasn't winning any awards. It wasn't until I went up to get a drink refill that I saw the young lady behind the counter get someone some ice from a little refrigerator behind the counter. We weren't offered the ice when we ordered so I kinda stood there in amazement, but at least we were able to get some for our refills. Kind of a lackluster visit, to be honest. The staff was fine and kept the moving. The dining room was surprisingly clean, given how busy they were. This visit was an "as we were passing by" selection. We may try again if we end up in the area in the future.
