When we arrived we saw the tables outside, it was kinda windy and chilly so we hoped there were tables inside. There weren't but the stars are for Vanessa Galan! She promptly greeted us and told us about the establishment. I was looking around, taking pictures and she handed me a menu. I saw they had a location in Mt. Washington! She told me they were a larger location with tables indoors, and more of the experience we wanted for lunch. She did recommend the chili and pulled pork. I will say that this location has brisket (which I was strongly considering) and MW does not. But Vanessa was explaining that her brother and sister in law (Kim - she's awesome!) own them. Love supporting local, family owned so we headed to Mt. Washington. Also she explained that she makes the marinades and applies them to the marinated meats herself. Thanks Vanessa! I'll be back one day for brisket!!!

I waited 3-4 mins and was handed the food. It was $9.45 after tax for the sandwich. I ate it out in the truck and wish I could have said it was 5 out of 5 best ever but I can't. The sandwich was small and not that tasty unfortunately for the price especially. It had no Smokey flavor and just tasted like pulled beef roast on a roll with bbq sauce. I did not enjoy and was really wanting to like it. I'll give it another shot with another food item but I'll pass on this sandwich

I had the Cedar Grove Club panini and it was delicious. If anyone truly knows me, they know I am very particular about my coffee. I tried the Peppermint Mocha and it was amazing. My husband had the Italian panini and the salted caramel latte, he really enjoyed both. The staff, Kimber, Addie and Kolton were very courteous and inviting. Also a plus was the owners were there roasting coffee, the aroma from the coffee made everything feel so cozy. If you haven't tried Cedar Grove Coffee House, pay them a visit, I promise you won't regret it.

They are always hot, fresh, and way better than most coffee shop food. The workers are one of the best parts. They are always kind and funny, they always ask how I am before taking my order which is great customer service. Also, they've started playing music inside which makes the vibe and ambiance perfect for studying, dates, meet ups with friends, or anything really! I typically order through the drivethru but on occasion I'll come in to look at the local art. They also have a new system that makes ordering really easy, and the rewards program is a great bonus. This place just keeps getting better and I always look forward to coming back. If you haven't been here or want something different than chain coffee shops, COME HERE!

The problem is how expensive the meals are. We spent nearly $100 bucks for about 4-5 meals. There is absolutely NO REASON for a fast food chain to be charging this much. On top of that, the ingredients aren't even organic, non gmo, or anything of that nature.

Once inside we got in line to order with a person. (Panera's push to kiosk ordering? Not a fan. I'll never embrace it.) I think our order taker was new because someone had to show her where the food item I ordered was located on the register. I generally order the same thing every time and it's an "off menu" item, but still available. After ordering and going to get our drinks we saw a sign that the ice machine was down. Strange, but it happens. Iced tea isn't iced tea without ice, so that wasn't appealing to me. Likewise any of the fountain drinks, since it's the ice that cools the beverage and helps maintain carbonation. That leaves whatever-temperature-the-drink-comes-out-at. Bummer, because I LOVE Panera's iced tea. I don't know if there an event or a convention or just an unreasonable gathering of kids, but there were A LOT of kids on this visit. An annoyingly large number of kids. Food delivery was kind of lengthy, made even worse by all. the. kids. My sandwich was good, but not awesome, and my room temperature tea (-ice) wasn't winning any awards. It wasn't until I went up to get a drink refill that I saw the young lady behind the counter get someone some ice from a little refrigerator behind the counter. We weren't offered the ice when we ordered so I kinda stood there in amazement, but at least we were able to get some for our refills. Kind of a lackluster visit, to be honest. The staff was fine and kept the moving. The dining room was surprisingly clean, given how busy they were. This visit was an "as we were passing by" selection. We may try again if we end up in the area in the future.

St Aloysius is located in the downtown portion of small Shephedsville Kentucky tucked away In a residential neighborhood. Like most Catholic fish Fry's the speciality is fish sandwiches. But they will serve other things such as oysters, shrimp, onion rings and desserts. This fish fry the last few years has been drive thru only. Me and my family enjoy checking out several Catholic Church fish fry's during Lenten season and when some of our close family friends who belong to st aloysius told us to try this we grabbed an order and went to there house and had family dinner together. Pricing is on par with other fish frys. $6 a fish sandwich. They actually had a pretty large dessert menu that included a home made chocolate cake from the priest. The priest took our order so I actually ordered a slice. Our fish sandwich was pretty good. Not the best local fish fry sandwich but still good. I'd still rather have this than a fast food chain any day. Good sized and nice flavor. The shrimp was solid. A little over cooked on this visit. My wife said the onion rings and oysters was pretty good and we got the kids a cheese pizza slice and they said it was alright. Kinda on par with a little Cesar's if they had to make a comparison. For desserts we got a normal chocolate cake, an awesome chocolate cake (this is what the priest named his homemade one), a brownie and a Chocolate mint brownie. The brownies were huge and tasty. Was kinda shocked to see a mint chocolate brownie at a smaller church fish fry but it was good. Both chocolate cakes were pretty good. I tried both and I will say fathers was better. He did a good job on his hand made cake. Overall nice fish fry. I do have some in person ones locally I prefer that have better fish and fun activities. But, this one is nice too and the workers were all great. We would come back for sure.
