Moving forward the drinks were a terrible my "Protein coffee" tasted like an actual candle watered down I do not recommend it does not taste edible. Lastly our electrolytes beverage was extremely watered down, Not to mention the women kept rubbing some particle off the cup and proceeded to hand that same cup she was repeatedly touching (and it was not the exterior of the cup) lastly the coughing above the cups we ordered. Bullitt blends is a protein shake,smoothie and donut shop located in Shepherdsville Kentucky tucked away off the main exit back in the area with all the new businesses that are popping up all around the Shepherdsville area. This location is right across from the wal mart in a shopping center next to planet fitness and cluckers. Walked in here today with my two youngest daughters not knowing much about the place. Very lovely decor inside and it is spacious and clean. Not much dining in options however. The lady at the register greeted us and was very friendly. As a first time customer I gave a name and email so they can put me in the system as some type of rewards program. I personally ordered a thin mint smoothie. They are one size only for adults. My daughter got a kids brownie batter smoothie with sprinkles. It took about 3 minutes to prepare and we got our smoothies and sat down at they lone picnic table inside to dine. My thin mint was pretty good. Knowing it's a protein shake and a healthier option I was mildly surprised about how good the flavor was. Pretty good taste. Had some cookie crumbles at the bottom that I enjoyed as well. Straw was big enough to get all the goodies too. So that was nice. My second youngest who is 6 at first said "mmm This is good" and it slowly turned into "it isn't that great" and I'd say she ultimately drank about half the drink. I sample it and it was good. Nice strong chocolate flavor. Tasted like a normal chocolate shake to me personally. So being it's a healthy snack I'd call that a win for them. My biggest gripe would be they are way too expensive. Cost me over $15 before tip for a regular drink and a kids drink. I get it. It's healthier and they always want to charge you to make healthy body decisions in our world. However, if I'm being honest or blunt with an opinion, in that area of town and location those prices aren't going to cut it. It's not a bad area to say but it's not exactly high end and people in bullitt county generally aren't they type to spend $7 on a healthy shake. I'd be more inclined to come back if the shake was around $4 or so. Not saying I won't come back but at those rates I won't make a special trip. Overall it was a solid experience and the smoothies were better than I was anticipating. I'm very curious how this location holds up in this area. Hopefully it does well as it is nice to see new and different business pop up in the area. I just fear for it at the current price rate list and the area they opened. I have been to bullitt blends several times and I'm always greeted by the owner with a warm welcome and smile. I visit with my twin normally and by our second visit, the owner had memorized both of our orders. She also took her time to educate us on the nutritional value of the supplements. My usual order is the cinaberry boosted tea. Its flavor is refreshing and a perfect energy booster. The drinks are a little pricey but Bullitt Blends is a little cheaper compared to other places with the same concept. You can also build up points for discounts by creating a membership and logging into their system at the counter. read more

Bullitt Blends is a relatively new place that's in the shopping center next to dollar tree and Cluckers and planet fitness here in Shepherdsville. My wife goes here like once a week she had set up all the time and she always says how great it is today I got to try some of her meals she got the fruity pebble protein donut was excellent and the hawk smash drink was also fantastic. This place is amazing!! The ladies behind the bar are so friendly! So convenient being next to the gym! I can get a pre workout Tea from them and go burn some calories in the gym and then go right back in for a post workout shake!! They also offer meal replacement shakes just in case I miss breakfast, lunch or dinner!! I love that they have a rewards program and that I can purchase the products to take home and make them whenever I can't make it out to them! Such a gem right here in Shepardsville!!
