I called and asked to have another made and I would pick up. The lady wouldn't take my payment for the second drink and even brought it to me at work. This is why I always chose local business and will support them.

Int major chains like Starbucks I usually don't review the food or drinks because most people are familiar. Me personally I'm not a huge Starbucks guy. They are overpriced and I'm not impressed by most of the things I've gotten there. On this particular visit I took my daughters and there friend. They had a decent sized crowd and moved pretty slowly. However they did get our orders correct and actually called our name as each got done which was nice because we had a large order and nobody's drink or snack got cold. We all got orders of frozen drinks and I got a bacon and egg sandwich with the kids getting cake pops. So we dined inside despite them have a pretty nice patio area. I did enjoy the decor here and they had some things paying homage tot he city Of Shepherdsville. So that was a nice homey touch. Overall it was a solid visit. The girls enjoy it and they workers seemed nice enough. Inside was clean and upkept so props to them on that.

This location is right across from the wal mart in a shopping center next to planet fitness and cluckers. Walked in here today with my two youngest daughters not knowing much about the place. Very lovely decor inside and it is spacious and clean. Not much dining in options however. The lady at the register greeted us and was very friendly. As a first time customer I gave a name and email so they can put me in the system as some type of rewards program. I personally ordered a thin mint smoothie. They are one size only for adults. My daughter got a kids brownie batter smoothie with sprinkles. It took about 3 minutes to prepare and we got our smoothies and sat down at they lone picnic table inside to dine. My thin mint was pretty good. Knowing it's a protein shake and a healthier option I was mildly surprised about how good the flavor was. Pretty good taste. Had some cookie crumbles at the bottom that I enjoyed as well. Straw was big enough to get all the goodies too. So that was nice. My second youngest who is 6 at first said "mmm This is good" and it slowly turned into "it isn't that great" and I'd say she ultimately drank about half the drink. I sample it and it was good. Nice strong chocolate flavor. Tasted like a normal chocolate shake to me personally. So being it's a healthy snack I'd call that a win for them. My biggest gripe would be they are way too expensive. Cost me over $15 before tip for a regular drink and a kids drink. I get it. It's healthier and they always want to charge you to make healthy body decisions in our world. However, if I'm being honest or blunt with an opinion, in that area of town and location those prices aren't going to cut it. It's not a bad area to say but it's not exactly high end and people in bullitt county generally aren't they type to spend $7 on a healthy shake. I'd be more inclined to come back if the shake was around $4 or so. Not saying I won't come back but at those rates I won't make a special trip. Overall it was a solid experience and the smoothies were better than I was anticipating. I'm very curious how this location holds up in this area. Hopefully it does well as it is nice to see new and different business pop up in the area. I just fear for it at the current price rate list and the area they opened. Maybe and hopefully I'm wrong.

Salt river coffee is a coffee roaster shop that services the small downtown area of Shepherdsville…read more Kentucky. Located kn a small strip of commercial businesses just off the banks of salt river (hence the name). Me my wife and our 4th born daughter who is 20 months old stopped in here the other day to check this place out. We had intentions of grabbing a flavored coffee drink and a pastry. The previous tenant here was Shiloahs which was a coffee cafe and pastry place. So we assumed this place was similar. While it's in the same family it isn't. A traditional coffee shop. It's more of a store front that Sells some pretty packed snacks which we got a few because we were starving. For drinks they do have a few small community lots of coffee roasters they are selling. But it's not a coffee shop. They don't have special drinks to sell and drink there like a Starbucks or the previous tenant shiloahs. My wife and I aren't natural coffee drinkers and we Definetly don't know how to roast coffee. So we was kinda lost in the sauce. I'll say this the two ladies working here were super nice and optimistic and excited about this place. So it made us want to support anyways. We got some coffee roaster and had them roast it up in a fancy looking machine. And we will gift it to one of family members or friends. We also got some mint chocolate treats and a bag of chips. Most of the snacks are coffee infused and or healthy options. I wasn't a fan of the chips or mint treat. The baby seemed to like the chips as she ate them. Pricing here I'm not sure how to judge as I've never really been to a coffee roaster place. Overall I hope this place does well because they seem like genuine nice people. I'm not sure how well a store like this will do in that area. It's kinda a backwoods small country area and this type of setup seems more high end big city feel to me. We were disappointed it wasn't a traditional coffee shop and pastry like previous but it's always good to support local and we gave it a try. My advice is if your an avid coffee person who understands blends, roasting and brewing and does that at home then this place is for you. If your looking for a coffee shop hang out to eat and drink and relax This will not meet your expectations.
