Her infectiously pleasant smile and personable approach to life are truly the reason I love Broadway Nutrition (the smoothies are also pretty fantastic). I typically get hungry halfway through my morning, but this does not happen after I've stopped by Broadway Nutrition for breakfast. The smoothies have at minimum 24 grams of protein, and start at 200 calories (slightly more if you get a peanut butter option, which you definitely should, because yum). There is an endless variety of flavor choices - desserty, fruity, breakfasty, and seasonal, so there's always something new to enjoy.

The owner allowed sampling, so here we stand yet again. The staff here is lovely. This little coffee shop makes a great cup of coffee . The matcha is made with no sugar. The best for me . They make all sorts of different types of carbs that you could make part of your day. The little cafe sits on a corner and you can sip coffee and watch the day pass. My daughter got a kids brownie batter smoothie with sprinkles. It took about 3 minutes to prepare and we got our smoothies and sat down at they lone picnic table inside to dine. My thin mint was pretty good. Knowing it's a protein shake and a healthier option I was mildly surprised about how good the flavor was. Pretty good taste. Had some cookie crumbles at the bottom that I enjoyed as well. Straw was big enough to get all the goodies too. So that was nice. My second youngest who is 6 at first said "mmm This is good" and it slowly turned into "it isn't that great" and I'd say she ultimately drank about half the drink. I sample it and it was good. Nice strong chocolate flavor. Tasted like a normal chocolate shake to me personally. So being it's a healthy snack I'd call that a win for them. My biggest gripe would be they are way too expensive. Cost me over $15 before tip for a regular drink and a kids drink. I get it. It's healthier and they always want to charge you to make healthy body decisions in our world. However, if I'm being honest or blunt with an opinion, in that area of town and location those prices aren't going to cut it. It's not a bad area to say but it's not exactly high end and people in bullitt county generally aren't they type to spend $7 on a healthy shake. I'd be more inclined to come back if the shake was around $4 or so. Not saying I won't come back but at those rates I won't make a special trip. Overall it was a solid experience and the smoothies were better than I was anticipating. I'm very curious how this location holds up in this area. They provide a large variety of smoothies and açaí bowls. We both ended up ordering a smoothie. I had the birthday cake smoothie and loved it. It tasted like the real thing. My friend got the chocolate banana smoothie and she enjoyed hers also. I love how the smoothies that we received would be 800 calories minimum but the larges we ordered were only around 280 calories with 25-30 grams of protein (everyone is obsessed with protein these days). The smoothies are a little expensive at around 8 dollars a cup but if you treat yourself once in a while, I think it's worth it.
