I went to Bubba's 33 to celebrate my aunt's birthday with a group of 13. Since they don't take reservations, I called a week ahead to figure out the best way to give them a heads-up. They told me to call again a couple of hours before arriving, which I did. I was on hold for about 15 minutes, and they let me know our 7:00 p.m. request wouldn't work due to another large party, but they offered 7:15 or 7:30. I chose 7:15 and arrived around 7:18. My group didn't fully arrive until about 7:45, so I was worried our tables might not be held. They'd told me on the phone that they don't have tables bigger than eight, so we'd be seated at back-to-back tables. In the end, it worked out really well. Sixteen people showed up, and once everyone was there, I texted "here" as instructed. We were seated within five minutes, which was impressive given how late people were. We had two servers for the group, but everything ran smoothly. I ordered chicken tenders with fire tots and mac & cheese--all tasted fresh. The fire tots weren't as spicy as I expected, but still good. Their $5 margaritas are a steal--flavorful, though not heavy on the alcohol. I also tried my cousin's hot wings, which were spicy but had a unique flavor--less vinegary than standard buffalo wings, and I loved that. Overall, Bubba's 33 feels like an upscale Applebee's--inviting, accommodating, and just really good. I'd only ever gotten takeout before, but dining in was such a positive experience. The staff even brought out a free dessert for my aunt's birthday, which was a great touch. I'll definitely be back!

A pleasant atmosphere inside, with very clean restrooms. You can tell they really care about cleanliness, which is always a plus. The only downside was the music being too loud. It made it hard to talk with friends at the table, so turning the volume down slightly would improve the experience. Our server's service was average. She did her job, but wasn't very friendly or engaging. The food was excellent. The beer was ice cold, and the nachos were more than enough for six people to share. We also ordered a slightly spicy pizza, but it wasn't really spicy for us. Just clean and well-balanced in flavor.

My second time here! Both times the experience was very good. Food delicious. Service was fast and fresh. Friendly staff and knowledgeable. Drinks were amazing. Ambiance was good. Music was not too loud and tv's had games and music videos of the music playing! Definitely coming back....

    Chicken fried Steak

Bubba's was down the street from our hotel, so we pulled up. It was definitely a busy Wednesday evening and they were in full swing. Big portions! Big TVs! Fast paced energy. My better half ordered the Chicken fried steak. She said it was solid -- crispy edges, tender inside, and exactly what she was looking for. I ordered the fried chicken salad... and it was on point. Tasty and HUGE! The youngest ordered mac and cheese and gave it her seal of approval (and she's a Mac snob) so that's saying something. The spot's got sports bar energy: TVs on every wall & music on max. Staff was friendly, even while juggling a full house. I'd have no problem pulling back up on Bubba's if I'm ever back in town!

Onion Big O- Rings-- BEST ONION RINGS!

The best onion rings paired with the best sauce!! I am obsessed. Came here on a random Monday night and the service was quick and food came out at a timely manner. Everything we ordered was good, but man those onion rings will pull me back in here at least once a month. It's very casual, how you'd picture a sports bar, I would bring a light jacket in case you get cold easily.

Stopped in at Bubba's 33 in Fern Creek with my wife for a casual night out. I went with the Buffalo chicken sandwich, and it hit the spot--nice kick of heat and good flavor. My wife had the lasagna, which was surprisingly solid for a sports bar. The vibe was fun--lots of energy, TVs everywhere, definitely a good place to catch a game. Our waitress was friendly and on point the whole time. It's not fine dining, but for what it is--a fun, lively sports bar with good food--it delivers. Solid 4 stars.

Me and my wife come here often, and it definitely was crazy the first time we went when they just opened up. Now that the dust and excitement has settled it is still a great place to eat. The food is a good portion for what you pay for. Tonight I got the Bubba Smash Burger which had great flavor but it was definitely over sauced. I'll have to get their tangy sauce on the side next time. I have noticed that this is the second time me and my wife went and they had a gnat issue. Not a lot of them but starting to get concerned. Hopefully this gets addressed, as I'd love to come back

Went just to have the Monte Cristo again! The best mix or hearty and sweet! You can't beat the raspberry preserve dipping sauce!

Went on a Sunday night at 5. Used the join waitlist feature of the website and it was a 45 minute wait. Place was packed. Waitress was super friendly. The food took quite some time to come to the table (compared to Texas Roadhouse). Food was standard bar food/similar to Texas Roadhouse. My mom really enjoyed the boozy bourbon Coke Slushee drink ($6.75).

The visual setup and family sports bar atmosphere are definitely the highlights here! However, the food and service felt a bit underwhelming for the price we paid. We left feeling like the value didn't quite align with the bill. It's a solid 'middle' choice for the area, but there are a few things to polish before it becomes a family favorite for us.

If I don't like it I will be honest about it. IF I love it, I will praise it as well. A fat boy talks with Passion about food! So, right through the door, the place was jamming. They had good music playing, and a lot of TVs and a good choice of low top or high-top seating (and not just in the bar area). The place was chill, and it was the waiter's birthday to boot! What a hoot! - Ok enough rhyms I'm sorry. Ok, the sweet tea, wasn't that good. 2 outa 5. It was either made days before or was instant. My first though was it tasted like it was instant or out of a bag and not fresh brewed. The app was huge! Which the waiter said it would be, and it was delicious. Came with a cheese sauce and a marinara (was too sweet tasting for me). It was hot and tasty and hit the spot. It would be good for a family of 4, and you probably would still take some home. I got the ribeye that had an espresso rub and came with an espresso glaze that came it in a cup (Couldn't stand this at all. It was cut with A1 steak sauce and tasted like a spicy A1 (I can't stand A1 - a good steak doesn't need sauce)) Loaded tater tots, and fire fries! The sides were large, and the steak as well. But man, the fire fires will light you up! If you're not a heat person, do not get these. The fries were cooked perfectly, crisp on the outside, and soft on the inside. Sprinkled with what I would say was one of their wings dry rub, I loved it but I was sweating when it was done (Good tea would have helped with this BTW) Overall, the steak was tender, with a good flavor. I could taste the rub on it. The sides were large and delicious. I will order a different drink next time and probably a different steak, as that is my go-to. Everyone around me was commenting on their food, and how good it was. So, I will be back. I know they are known for their beer, being 33 degrees, as I can't drink Beer, I will have to take their word on that. So, this fat boy is Happy! 4.61 Belly Rubs, and a nap when I got home.

The reviews complimented the food, service and atmosphere so we gave it a try and we were glad we did! We walked into to a classic sports bar that had old school sports bar character. The staff immediately greeted us and promptly led us to our table. The menu is large and varied. One surprise was that they had lobster bisque- we all ordered that as an appetizer. My son ordered wings with fries and coleslaw and my wife and I ordered potato skins. The bisque was very good. When they brought out the rest of the order, we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the buffalo wings. For some reason, so many restaurants have turned to serving miniature, anemic chicken wings thinking the customer doesn't care. Bungalow Joes is one of the rare places to serve legitimate chicken wings and legs. They were huge and delicious!!! The potato skins were smaller but full of flavor. The coleslaw was a winner- they called it Caribbean coleslaw and described it as sweeter than typical coleslaw. The coleslaw was sweeter and my son and wife loved it. The fires were good, as well. All in all, we had a great lunch at Bungalow Joe's. Our waitress was great, the food was legit and the atmosphere was perfect for a sports bar. The wings ensured that we will be back. We dropped in on Oaks night and even though it was pretty busy we were able to grab two seats at the bar. The only downfall of this was the time of day and the position of the Sun blaring through the garage door windows blasting me in the face however that cannot be helped or avoided, just a heads up for anyone who is super sensitive to the sun and arrives around sunset. I started with a Sunset Spritz and looked over the menu, there are so many great options to choose from and I was really torn on what to get but decided on the blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich (you can also get grilled or fried, but the bartender recommended blackened) and an order of sweet potato fries. The fries come with a side of a smoky pineapple chutney of some sort and even though I'm not a huge fan of anything that's really smoky it was absolutely delicious and a great combo. Seriously 10/10 recommend. The sandwich was also fire! I am extremely picky about sea food, especially since I used to live near the cost so it was always fresh and it definitely did not disappoint. I was so full when we left lol My husband got the beef sliders as his entrée with a side of regular fries tossed in roasted garlic pepper. I tried them and they were just OK. The sweet potato fries are definitely where it's at! And Lastly, a ground beef loaded nacho. The chicken was extremely dry and the nachos were so greasy. I know, we went to a burger place and nobody ordered a burger... maybe a bad move on our part. Also, every small sauce was $1 and you receive about an ounce. I was a bit surprised when I got the bill and none of the chicken came with any sauce. In all, It's cute enough and in a great location.
