Super pretty brewery inside of a church! I came here for a book event they hosted, got their creamsicle cider (it was delicious) and had a wonderful time! Staff was super kind as well, id easily come again!

After you hit the deli, come here to pair with a lovely crisp craft brew! The interior is gorgeous, there is plenty of outdoor seating as well. The staff is lovely and knowledgeable and the vibes are on point. I'd love to visit again

Wonderful dog friendly spot. We hadn't been here in nearly 3 years but were delighted that it was dog friendly indoors and had a varied menu of mixed drinks. We love the oldham gardens vibe but it offers neither. Made for a great doggo friendly date night

We love 3rd Turn...both locations. Last week we decided to go back to the original, so close to our home. There were a lot of people there riding out lost power after the storms. The brewery had food available specifically for those neighbors, and I think that's stellar. We enjoy the beer and slushes, of course, always. 3rd Turn never disappoints on taste. The space is laid out perfectly, and there are nice couches at the front and back. The patio is lovely as well, tho it was a bit chilly that day. We can't wait to go back next week for St. Patrick's Day!

Awesome brewery inside a cool church building! Very spacious with many tables and patio seating in the back with another attached bar with the tabs being shared! Great drafts, cocktails, and wine! Anything you need they have and can make anything for you. They have a bunch of board games you can play as well with any of your friends. They have great Ciders also! Nice spot in JTown!

3rd turn is an old church turned into a brewery. I'm not a beer drinker but I really enjoy their pineapple flavored bourbon slushy. They have outside and inside seating. You can bring outside food and I was surprised to see they had food available in the window next to the bar. It smelled really good and I wanted to try but I had already picked up a pizza lol. Next time I'm trying the food. Really cool laid back atmosphere

I don't necessarily dislike 3rd turn brewing but, I will say it's not in my top 5 favorite breweries in Louisville. More on that shortly. This brewery is located in a very busy part of Jtown close to the police department and where the farmers markets are held in the public parking lot (Also the hosting of Jtown Craft Bash every year). Depending on what time of the day you go you may or may not have issues with the public parking lot. And the walk there isn't very far, they also have private parking but not a lot of spaces. This Brewery is in a former church (very interesting). There are big tables in the front and they have a bar straight ahead. Big kicker here is they don't have bar seating. Idk if this was before Covid or what but, didn't like the fact they didn't have bar seating. And they don't do flights either which is another kicker. They do some small pours though but I forget the size. Staff here is friendly and knowledgeable, and can even make recommendations on what to get as well. I've come here for special occasions like Ale Trail and Books and Brews. They do have some pretty good dark beers, the coffee one was one of my favorites if they still have it. I typically come here if I'm in the area. I'll be back at some point in time. Maybe for special events like Books and Brews or an Ale trail event but, it won't be any time soon.

3rd Turn is a relaxed brewery that's great for meeting friends that is also housed in a beautiful former church. I love that it can be both visually impressive and comfortable at the same time. Plus, the beer is fun too! My most recent visit was for my brother-in-law's birthday. He rented out the back sitting area, which was perfect for the group. It has plenty of places to sit as well as to congregate. He also brought in Qdoba for catering and set up the food in a small room next to the bar -- also pretty ideal. And along with visiting folks and eating tacos, we got to enjoy 3rd Turn's offerings. I started with one of their bourbon slushies. Yes, 3rd Turn is a brewery, but their bourbon slushies should not be ignored. I got the pineapple bourbon slushie, which had the perfect amount of sweetness and bourbon. What a great summer drink! And then I got the awesomely named -- wait for it -- Beer Flavored Gun Boobs, a Märzen. And after trying sips of my husband's flight of beer, I think I chose the best beer (at least to my tastes). This beer was slightly sweet and full of spice. Not sure if this is "the manliest beer you will ever drink," but it's delicious. I also tried the Classy Lady Porter, which is made with chocolate and marshmallow. Wow, this one was full of those flavors. The marshmallow was a bit much for my husband, but I really liked it. The Tango with the Mango Brut IPA is definitely heavy on the mango, and the Sunday Valley Saison would be my second favorite brew of the night. 3rd Turn is a fun place. Definitely worth a visit.

Guys, this place is MY JAM!!! 3rd Turn continues to rock out handcrafted venues (built by the owners). They upcycle as many materials as possible and do their best to maintain the unique venues natural magic. And now we are onto the beer. By far, my favorite brewery in Louisville. The tap changes almost daily and there is always something funky about even the most basic beers. I have difficulty drinking more than one beer total a day because of how heavy they can be. However, when consuming high abv beer that is clean and brewed the right way, I am able to drink multiple beers in one sitting. Which, makes it great for the beer lover that I am! & now, 3rd Turns craft bourbon bar next door is open! Eventually, the third building also owned by 3rd Turn will become a restaurant. In the meantime, they have food trucks outside for your pleasure. Bring your friends or kids. There are games and it is quite literally for all beings. Enjoy! You'll thank me!!!

Loved this place and the ambience ! You got spacious indoor and outdoor seating!! If you are cider fan you should try their pine apple cider! I loved it .. You can get a growler for $5 or buy growler size beer for $16.

    Outside view from patio!

Loved it. Beautiful place, so big and they have many places to sit inside and out. Great beer and frozen drinks with reasonable prices.

We had a party of eight that they accommodated. Among other large parties we saw. The ambience of the place is so nice so retro. There are about 3 to 4 separate corridors within the building that hold different rooms. Two of them are JUST games. One is half tables half games and then one is just bar and tables. In the summer they have a window that lifts up where you can sit on their patio too. I got a house margarita which I ordered two of because the first one was so good. It was a celebration for my mother-in-law's birthday so she just got a regular beer, but the service was still good amongst all opinions . The bartenders were in good moods and the staff was still super nice and kind even though they were swamped. ----- The FOOD. UNMATCHED! To be THAT busy and push out food of the quality we received is mind blowing!! Good job! I've been here before but no one else had. Note! They only have tater tots. No fries. So I got the Always Sunny Totchos. HALF ORDER Their tots with queso (amazing) & SHREDDED STEAK, GRILLED ONIONS & PEPPERS To dieeee for! So delicious. Then I got wings to go; sauce on the side. COOKED TO Perfection! Buffalo, bourbon bbq, and ranch. My husband got the Mikey Likey burger and he said it was great. (ITALIAN SEASONED PATTY, WARM MARINARA, MELTED MOZZARELLA, PEPPERONI & BANANA PEPPERS) His sister got the "it's a wrap" and she enjoyed it. His mom got the "cougar bait tacos" and loved them. Can't remember what everyone else got because I was on the other side of the table, but everyone enjoyed it. Overall fantastic food! really interesting items. There are so many things on their menu I want to try. I just would probably go on a day they are not so busy. ---- Last notes, their games operate off of tokens that they have machines for that take $1, $5, $10, $20 & it's 25c for each token technically. During my visit, both were out of order so the hostess said that you have to go to the bar and you can swipe your debit card in exchange for tokens, which is a little inconvenient so we didn't do that. But no biggie. I had 4 tokens because it took $1 so she got to play Pac-Man twice and she was happy lol Additionally parking is a little rough when they are busy. Overall great place. Be patient. And maybe try a Thursday instead haha
