Yelp 100 - 2024 -#8 I ordered two Chicken Supreme Combos with fries and sweet tea. My food was hot and fresh and service was fast. This location is located near a gas station.

For my first time at Bojangles, I'd say it was pretty good! Iced tea was drinkable for a midwesterner like me- I'm still learning what is "good" tea haha. This was good in my opinion, but not the best. My husband and I each got the 4 chicken strip meal, and we both wished we had gotten bone in pieces. Next time we'll have to try it! Fries were flat but edible. Salty and fine. Honey mustard was alarming soooo yellow, but that's just the artificial coloring bells in my head going off. Ranch was amazing! Our food was hot and great for a first time. The inside was clean and I love the outdated interior! Makes me feel like a kid in the 90s. Next time, I really want to try the Mac and cheese.

I understand as if you aren't seated when they open, you can expect a 90-minute to two-hour wait. I was hoping to get the Chicken Pot Pie this time and thought my prior visit was just off. I was thrilled that most of the menu was available. They were just out of the banana pudding. So I got to try the pecan wings I read about with the white sauce. It was so good. Then I got the chicken pot pie and biscuits. The pot pie had old biscuits for the topping, but the creamy mixture with large chunks of chicken was delicious. My biscuits came with honey and were served warm. I left with a slice of the chocolate-caramel-coconut cake, a side salad without onions, and a fried boneless thigh. The salad was made correctly, and the dressing was included. The salad was full of veggies, and the cake was rich and moist. Service was friendly and as soon as I finished my iced tea, another appeared. My wings were brought out first and it was a while for the rest of the meal as the restaurant was full. But they didn't rush me at all. I actually liked the space between the dishes, as I might not have been able to eat it all otherwise. I couldn't finish both biscuits and was even provided a container for the honey. I am going to miss Beasley's, but I'm glad I got a positive experience to remember the restaurant.

I wasn't too excited because it's not the type of place I'd usually pick, but I went to go along with the group. It ended up being the best place we went during the whole visit to Raleigh. First off, the biscuits and hush puppies they bring out to start were so good. They were better than the biscuits we had at breakfast at a nearby restaurant that actually specializes in biscuits, and the honey butter was intensely flavorful. I just ordered the 4 sides because I'm not a big meat person, and while they were good, once I tasted the cheeseburger someone else at the table ordered, I ended up stealing it from him. They grind the beef for the burger in house, and the quality of the meat is top notch. The service was also 10/10. I don't normally notice or care about service since I'm just in it for the food, but this is one of the few restaurants where I felt genuinely welcomed in. I will absolutely be prioritizing coming back here again next time I'm visiting.

The brisket was a little fatty for me yet I like my brisket lean. And the pulled pork was tasty. Also, the deviled eggs for appetizers are a must get The service was good very fast to get your food out and the ambience was your cute. Typical Carolina barbecue restaurant.

Whiskey kitchen !!!!! Wowzers !!…read more Let me tell you this place is 10/10! The food , the drinks and the service.. I wish I could come daily as it definitely is a great spot. One part whiskey bar and one part southern kitchen this is a win in downtown Raleigh! Known for their small plates and shareable, they do have entree and main dishes along with a great selection of whiskey. The shrimp and grits were alittle to saucy for me but my nephew had no problem finishing it for me lol. We will definitely be back!

The first thing I…read morenoticed upon arriving was how dead it was, especially considering we went on a Friday night at 6:30PM. My boyfriend is a huge whiskey drinker and had been wanting to visit here for a while. He had heard that the best Old Fashioned were here (he said that it was not that great), and while they did have bougie cocktails, I settled for a margarita. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere and decor were great! I am a plant person, so I loved seeing all of the plants. I love the open concept and exposed ceiling. But the food......was displeasing and unappetizing. I ordered the lamp burger, and while I ordered it as well done, I did not know that it would be presented overcooked with a charred outside. If you know lamb, this caused the meat to be extremely dry. The burger itself was very bland and lacked much flavor. My boyfriend ordered the Fireman's Chicken and by the looks of it when it came out, someone should have called the fire department while it was cooking! It was so burnt it was black. The only flavor present was charred meat and it was the most dried out chicken we have ever had (unfortunately I tried it). The collard greens were bitter with little flavor and the black-eyed peas still had crunch to where they weren't cooked all the way. To say all this, to have a $100 bill was HIGHLY unappreciated as it was one of the worst meals we have had in a LONG time. I definitely could see why they were not busy. The food was cooked terrible. And I will note that it isn't that I am picky, the couple next to us barely ate their meal and looked just as dissatisfied as we were. We would NOT recommend!

We stopped by on a Sunday morning and the place was buzzing--I'm guessing many diners were coming from church. Thankfully we made a reservation because every table seemed to fill up quickly. To kick things off, we each ordered a refreshing Lone Rider wheat beer along with two appetizers. The Shoestring Okra Fries were a fun twist on a Southern classic--crispy, lightly seasoned with chili citrus seasoning, and even better dipped in the tangy lime mayo. We also shared the Artichoke Dip, which arrived bubbling hot, creamy, and perfect for spreading on the toasted bread. For brunch, we went with two very different dishes, and both were excellent. The Asparagus & Mushroom Omelet was fluffy and packed with flavor from the goat cheese and pickled onions, while the buttery biscuit with jam on the side was a nice Southern touch. The Fried Green Tomato & Bacon Benedict was the standout of the meal. Crispy fried green tomatoes, perfectly poached eggs, smoky bacon, and rich hollandaise came together beautifully without feeling overly heavy. We couldn't leave without one more treat. The Strawberry Kiwi Margarita was bright, fruity, and balanced with just enough tequila and a zesty spiced citrus rim to keep it refreshing. To finish, we shared an Affogato, the perfect ending with creamy ice cream and a shot of hot espresso. If you're planning a Sunday brunch in Cary, make a reservation--you'll be glad you did. We'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

My Negroni was sublime, and I also enjoyed a couple of glasses of Gatto Arancione orange wine, which paired beautifully with the meal. To finish, I ordered the dark chocolate mousse torte--a rich and decadent ending. We sat at the iconic horseshoe counter, a piece of Raleigh history in its own right. The green Formica countertop dates back to 1945, when the space served as a midday lunch counter. You can see decades of history etched into its surface--the wear from generations of elbows leaning on the counter. It's the kind of patina that simply cannot be recreated. That's what makes Poole's so special: it preserves the character of an old Raleigh diner while elevating the food, cocktails, wine and service to a very sophisticated level. The service was outstanding--warm, knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive. Poole's is Michelin Guide Recommended, and it's easy to understand why. Historic, sophisticated and completely unpretentious, it manages to preserve the soul of a classic Raleigh diner while delivering food and service at a very high level.
