When someone finally answered, instead of asking why I was calling or allowing me to explain the situation, the employee told me, "Stop calling," and hung up on me. I later called one more time specifically to confirm the refund I had already been promised. This time I was told that they could not issue a refund because I ordered through the McDonald's app and that I had to contact app support. I explained that someone at the same restaurant had already told me I would receive the refund on Monday, but I was again told they could not do anything. I understand that I called several times while trying to straighten out the orders, but I remained polite. There was no reason to tell a customer "stop calling" and hang up without even hearing what the customer was trying to explain. What concerns me most is receiving completely conflicting information from the same restaurant: first I was told my $5.37 would be refunded, and later I was told the restaurant could not do anything about it.
