This is a beautiful McDonald's! The system here is to order at the kiosk-the staff is busy behind the counter and is so busy with the drive-thru customers! We could not get the kiosk to work correctly,so we ended up using the app to order our food-while standing in the store! Kinda ridiculous! But okay!! When we got our food, it was hot and fresh-but! I realized my Big Mac had no bottom bun!! Because of the difficulty to reach a staff member-I just ate it the way it was-of course, it fell apart when I was eating it,and just turned into a mushy mess- The bottom bun is essential to hold the toppings and burger patties together-so my once a year trip to Micky Ds ended on a disappointing note!! Another note is that the app did not add my drinks-so somehow trey did not get on my order- Because it was so difficult to get a staff member,we just had the free water there from the fountain- The store missed the revenue from a high-mark up item(the sodas!) because of the system of having the staff not available to wait on customers-sigh- Such is the future of these fast-food places I guess...We will be paying higher prices, for less service, and poor quality!! Four stars-because my food was prepared wrong! And we could not get our sodas!! But! The place (including the bathroom!)was clean! And it is a beautiful store!

I got the Chopped Brisket Salad. When the food finally got there, the salad had no brisket on it. Had to get the waiter to go get it. Flavors were all good, at least the brisket was tender. Everyone else's plate at our table looked good. This comes down to the execution. Very poor. Anyway, some days you nail it and some days you don't.

There are plenty of seating, indoor and outside. Service was nice and attentive, and the food came out quickly. Their menu had a lot of different offerings from burgers, to pizza, to entrees. FOOD: ~Sticky Ribs (4.5/5): actually fall off the bone tender! The sauce was tasty. Only thing was the ends were a little too burnt, but it wasn't inedible - gave that nice char taste. ~Italian Grinder (5/5): Typical italian sandwich, but the bread was so good. The roasted peppers added a nice kick, and the sauce was yummy. ~Fries (5/5): love battered fries! And they were seasoned really well ~Catfish and grits (4/5): the grits were wonderful consistency. Catfish was fried really well and was extremely tender. The sauce was so flavorful, but it was very heavy. At first I was worried about the huge chunks of celery, but thankfully, it didn't have that strong celery flavor and added a nice crunch. A really solid meal, especially for a golf course restaurant!

The atmosphere was bright, welcoming, and fun, making it a great place to enjoy breakfast with family or friends. I highly recommend checking out Brick House Diner. I'm so relieved that none of those traits got left behind at the old location! There's usually a wait, but they now offer outside tables for waiting or dining. So that's a plus. And it's worth the wait. There's a new bar, so one can sit there and enjoy a drink or a meal. That's nice. There's a new (I don't know what to call it) "dessert deli"? Where all the cakes and pastries are on display and for sale. So that trapped us on our way out. :-) And there's a dedicated door for take-out only, so if you order ahead you don't need to swim upstream of the other waiting diners to get in and grab your food, Here's something really innovative: Their parking lot is on the small side. But they are adjacent to acres of parking in the shopping center. So they run a golf cart in a loop, picking up and dropping off diners who park in the satellite lot. Wow! That's service. The restaurant business is tough. And endless number of ways to fail. But the Brick House Diner is doing everything right! PS: In a time when restaurant prices seem to be out of control, BHD is doing a great job keeping prices as low as they can. For the meal I had, I've paid 10 to 25% more at other, similar venues. So, hats off to BHD for cost control!

When she asked to cancel it because it was so late, the server initially refused and brought the dish out anyway. After checking with the manager, the waiter took back the meal, but still charged her full price for everything else. I quietly tried to explain to the manager, Chris B., that our guest was upset and that the situation should have been handled better. Instead of apologizing, he became loud and belligerent about how busy they were, which was embarrassing and unprofessional. It also felt like our large group received poor service because a 20% gratuity was already automatically added, and that charge was not very clear on the bill. Overall, the service and management response were very disappointing.

This used to be a place where you'd have to wait for a table every time, but now the restaurant is half empty and I see why! When I was ordering my food our server was slightly rude & I was taken aback (but you never want someone to spit in your food so I ignored it lol). As I was ordering my food she repeated my wing order to me as she was typing it in, but she did not acknowledge the fact that I asked for all flats so I said all flats again & her response was an "I heard" under her breath which others at my table noticed the rudeness associated with it as well. The wings visibly looked different but fine, however once I started moving them around, I noticed they were dry & chewy like they were over-fried, but normally when I get them they are moist with a slight char from being grilled even tough they are dry rubbed. The loaded baked potato I was a shock to me..a lot more cheese than potato and it was cold. I'm simply very unsatisfied. I took my food home with me & ended up just throwing it all away. They've still got the best blue cheese though, hope that doesn't change! I've got lots of points to use so I'm going to just try a different location & pray. My two times at Short Pump have been better than the last six-eight months at Midlo.

I've followed this brewery on social media for a few months and have noticed their pictures consistently feature pours with an inordinate amount (2-3") of head on them. As someone who absolutely hates foam, I asked up front for no head. The bartender winced and explained they had to pour that way or they'd get in trouble because the ownership "wants the aroma expressed." I was taken aback...not only by the total lack of regard for the customer but for levying that threat against an employee. I was waiting to meet someone somewhere else for dinner, and put aside my disdain and capitulated as I didn't want anyone getting in trouble over a beer. So, I figured I'd make the most of things out on the patio. Alas, you can't take glass out in the patio, only plastic cups. What?!? If this were a college bar on a Friday night, sure - pour into plastic. But happy hour in Midlothian? The bartender did say they could pour no foam for a plastic cup though, which I thought was funny - they're so precious about their beer the foam is mandatory, but yeah, just dump it in plastic for the patio. All in all, a negative experience and one I won't repeat. My advice is to give the customer what they want, don't threaten employees, and eat the cost of a few broken glasses. To be clear: I get the notion of aromas and such, but this isn't Russian River or Alchemist, or even The Veil (none of which have foam mandates). I could even understand if they were busy (I was the only one ordering), but I wouldn't have asked for a longer pour under those circumstances. The beers are average regionals and customer service and good treatment of employees are non-negotiables. I hope ownership sees this and chills out; the person who pays for the beer dictates the pour, not you.
