We've dined here and gotten takeout several times per month since moving to Goldsboro last fall. I've never had a bad or even subpar experience. Their chicken is always fresh-outta-the-fryer hot, juicy and delicious. We always order one of their Tailgate size meals because there are 4 of us and we like to have leftovers to snack on. You get their wonderful, flaky biscuits, choice of sides (highly recommend their Mac & Cheese) and a jug of their cold southern sweet tea. Great value for your $ and very budget-friendly. I understand how stressful, overworked, demoralized and almost-always underpaid Food Service Workers are, so I definitely appreciate it when they don't take it out on their customers. This store's staff is always cheerful and has never bungled my orders. Thank you!! Highly recommend Bojangles, and this particular store.

I am very suprised by these reviews. The parking is…read moreaverage. We had a reservation at 630 pm. We were still standing outside at 7pm with our 88 year old parent in 90+ degree heat as there was no room in side to stand. We ended up getting a chair from the outdoor bar area. The food was average. It says that they cut the beef at your tableside. If that is true, we did not see it that night. They do bring a cart out with a sample of what you order but it was definitely not cut there. The waitress was very nice and the salad bar is good... but the price vs quality of steak in my opinion was not worth it.

In 40 years on the road, I find great food, more often than not, in the little Hole-in-the-Wall…read moreplaces. You know; the little Mom and Pop joints that are barely getting by when compared to the large, franchise shops. The Sof-T-Shop is one of those places! I have been passing by this place at least once a week, for more than four years now. This past Thursday, it was past lunch time and I was hungry! So throwing away caution, I stopped at the Sof-T-Shop, and I am so glad that I did. I asked the nice lady at the order window if the burgers were good? She told me that if I was not pleased, she would give me my money back. Well.. there's confidence for ya". So I ordered the double cheeseburger combo, with fries and sweet tea. OMG! I have not had a burger that good from a restaurant in a very, very long time! I mean it people! Look at the photo of that deliciousness! Two tasty beef patties, cheese, pickles and Chili !!! yes.. Chili. Not sure why, but I've never had a burger with Chili. It's Good ! The only thing that could have made this better is if the beef was hand-pattied and had a good sear on them. But hear me.. I'm not complaining! And the Fries; wow! Such a simple pleasure. Perfect fries cooked in fresh, very hot oil that resulted in a crispy outside and tender-tasty inside! yum.. And the sweet tea was just as good. The Sof-T-Shop is just off of I-795, coming into the North-west side of Goldsboro, close to the Army reserve center. If you get anywhere near that area, it is worth the time to stop by and say Hi to the Ladies!

I almost always get a salad for lunch and the vegetables are always fresh, as is the chicken, and Texas Toast is the perfect complement. The salad almost has too much chicken but they get it ... exceed expectations and never leave the customer in need/want (I also appreciate 2 salad dressing packets because 1 is just not enough). Whatever they do to train and retain the great staff, it is appreciated - particularly in comparison to most other dining options in town. It is not fine dining but they deserve 5 stars for providing good tasting, high quality food with the best customer service in town.

So I thought since I was in the mood for a good burger, I would give it another try. The burger was tasteless. Even with a variety of condiments it didn't help. The roll was far from fresh making it hard to pick up the burger. Since it crumbled so bad, it had to be eaten with a fork. The top layer of the fries (maybe 6 fries) were gold and a decent size. The rest of the fries were brown, almost burnt and small fragments not even resembling fries. The two men cooking were friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean.
