I was not impressed with this place at all. For one it's run down and dirty. Second, their menu is a confusing mess. And finally the food is a letdown. I was going to order a burger until I found out they use frozen patties. So I ordered a sub and fries. The sub was ok, not the best but not the worst I've had. The fries were gross. Don't know how you can screw up frozen fries, probably old oil. Even the soda had an off flavor. I will not be back.

Is it a steak and sub joint? An american grill? An italian restaurant? Chinese take-out?? All of the above!! I was a bit confused to say the least when I walked into this place. A client group I was taking out to lunch said they wanted to come here and when we drove into the parking lot, I thought, "Wait, is this place still open?" It looked like it was rundown and perhaps abandoned so I was a bit skeptical. It looks like an old Hardee's or other fast food joint ravamped by the Aggie's staff and resembles a Chinese take-out restaurant but when you look at the menu, you see that they offer hot subs, italian specials such as spaghetti and lasagna, burgers, fried okra, egg rolls, and almost anything else you would want at a fast food grill. By suggestion, I ordered the "to die for" cheesesteak which they call a steak sub. It was yummy, really yummy! Not 'to die for" but definitely shocking for a little joint in Goldsboro that I didn't know existed. I will definitely be back next time I am on Gboro and feel the need for some greasy grill food since the fries looked scrumptious! Another reason why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover!

    From the lot.

Always good, just slow especially when you call your order in ahead of time. Still would recommend.

Don't let the looks fool you. The Aggie egg rolls and dipping sauce is so good. The chicken sub and the steak and cheese are my favorites.

I entered the building and despite the fact that I was standing near the register, the young lady never said hello or offered an explanation on why I waited 15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge my presence. When I finally said my name is Mark and I placed a to go order, the response was, " Can't you see were busy.?" I said I understand that but I've been standing here for more than 15 minutes. I also mentioned that I did not want cold food. She grunted, went back to the kitchen, and brought me back my sack of food. When she came out with my bag of food, I opened the bag to check the order. She again grunted at me, "It's all there!" When I told her again I wanted to check the order, she screamed at me in front of her entire restaurant, "Get out of my restaurant!" When I explained to her that six of us usually come in on the weekend she told me she didn't care. If she truly does own this restaurant, she has the poorest business acumen I've ever met. We won't be back and neither will any of our friends. I've already personally phoned each of them and told them about the experience. BTW, the food was cold and undercooked.

If you don't want super sweet teriyaki sauce on literally everything, don't go here. Get scallops?…read more Have a squirt of teriyaki sauce. Just veggies, big ole wad of teriyaki sauce. Who puts teriyaki sauce on scallops and veggies. Order Hibachi chicken, bam, teriyaki chicken. Never have I been to a Hibachi place, and I have been to a ton, and seen so much teriyaki sauce used on literally everything. Again, who douses the veggies in teriyaki sauce. I've never had such bad food at a hibachi restaurant. I mean the cook could have asked if we wanted teriyaki sauce. Nothing we ordered was teriyaki. Service, young waiter, took our drink order, brought them out and the soup and salad. Had I not asked about dressings I would have got ginger, which I'm not a fan of. When all was done and the waiter asked us how everything was. We told him that everything was covered in teriyaki and we didn't order any teriyaki. Anyways, basically two full plates taken home, mainly because we paid for them, but never again. Seriously, who covers the veggies (zucchini, onions, mushrooms) in 100% teriyaki sauce. Overall everything was just teriyaki flavored and no where close to the other hibachi restaurants we go to.

She's learning and I can appreciate that. The place appeared to be clean and newly renovated. The exhaust fans and the grills were noticeably cleaner than what we are accustomed to. We were definitely grateful for that. The seating arrangements were closer than we are used to in DC/MD/VA. There were literally five people in our party (four adults and a toddler). There were also two other couples seated with us around one grill. We spent over $200.00 and the chef stole shrimp from us. (See video) Very disheartening that your employees have to steal food. We ordered the Samurai dinner, an additional order of scallops, two Mai Tai, children shrimp, chicken and fried rice, salmon and shrimp, vegetable sushi, steak hibachi, and whatever else is on the receipt. I usually make it my business to graciously tip the chef and graciously tip the server. I did not tip the chef anything because he took his own tip today. Not sure how they generally tip in Goldsboro NC but the waitress/server was super shocked by receiving a 25% gratuity. I've never had two strong Mai Tai for $9.00 each. That's absolutely unheard of in our neck of the woods. I expect for Wafu to contact me and make this right.

We really wanted to love this spot…read more.. Giving this spot a 3 instead of a 2, strictly because of my New England seafood bias. First things first: $10 for 4 slices of fried green tomato Would have been okay but it is merely sliced tomato, dredged in a plain cornstarch panko, with store bought pimento in a sauce cup. No pizzazz, no flavor. Give us some flavor! Shrimp was flavorful, how could it not be with old bay...but tasted almost like plastic after being microwaved. Scallops were honestly... kinda gross. No flavor and still quite sandy. One side over done one side under done. Mac and cheese tasted microwaved as well. My husband got the lobster roll. He said the 'spicy remoulade' tasted mostly like cocktail sauce mixed with mayo- no spice. Also, no lettuce or anything to make it pop. Lobster is usually market price so for $20, the meat portion was okay. Server was an absolute sweetheart, that's basically the only highlight. She wasn't even remotely surprised by our disappointment, that speaks volumes.
