An ideal Keto spot! Highly recommend! Came here with my friend and it was my first time experiencing shabu shabu. According to her, this place sets the bar somewhat high for it being my first shabu shabu. First of all, the nice surprise was that its all you can eat. My friend and I didn't know at first but then we saw everyone else getting trays on trays on trays of meat and we went crazy. Second, I really liked the selection of veggies. Sometimes its pretty limited on the greens and veggies, but I found everything I wanted including eggs. They even had sliced taro which was nice. Third, the broths and the sauce were very tasty! I enjoyed the sauce bar especially because you can get a little creative with your hot pot palette. A few things I didnt care for: -Service can sometimes be slow, we waited a while for our meat but realized we can pretty much flag anyone to get us meat. -Appetizers were okay. honestly, i couldve done without the appetizer since the selection was limited and its a pretty small dish. -Not a dessert place. They have a small cake selection but doesn't really look that appetizing. They do offer you ice cream but its prepackaged ice cream (think, the kind you get in elementary school) which I thought was weird because they have a fridge filled with macaroon ice cream sandwiches in the front of the restaurant--i guess you have to buy that separately. -Its great spot for lunch, but due to service sometimes being a little slow (even when its somewhat empty) may take longer than an hour. read more

I have had many shabu shabu places similar to this but this is probably my favorite one so far! Their vegetable and seafood bar is extensive and great quality. They even have multiple varieties of noodles! The sauce bar has all of my favorites. You can even choose an item off the menu as their special, I got the spicy tuna roll. It was pretty good actually. I got the tonkatsu broth and it was the best one out of all the other ones I've tried. It is savory but not too heavy. The quality of the meats are better than any other AYCE place. Good service, fast refill (drinks and meat), nice environment. Leg space is limited and a little bit uncomfortable for the fixed seats. (In case if you are curious, I'm 6 ft and 215lbs). But this doesn't really bothers me, I only care about the food. Soup base is more Japanese and Korean styles. For the Chinese spicy soup lovers, I would recommend to order the pork bone soup base (non-spicy) and add ingredients from the bar by yourself (chili oil, bean curd, garlic, onions, etc), it has all you need. If you never had Shabu shabu before, it could be a little bit of challenging to make your own dip sauce. Peanut butter and sesame sauce (not the sesame oil) is your friend for universal shabu shabu dip sauce, while ponzu is the best for beef, just my .02. Meat quality... fairly good for only $28 per person. Please don't compare this to Michelin restaurants. For all you can eat shabu shabu, Boiling World is doing it right and staying on top of the line. Service is great, and refill is fast (for meat). I mean it. We were there for about an hour and half, and finished at least 60 dishes of meat (2-4 slices per dish) plus seafoods from self serving bar. (2 adults + 2 kids) that's a lot of food where other places may easily cost more than $160 bucks. They do have discount for kids, for us 4, we paid $88.xx plus tips. (9yo and 7yo). Other tips: they do have raw oysters, 2 pcs an order, with sauce and fish eggs, no extra charge (Dinner only). Shrimps are at the self serving bar, size 31-40 heads on. Definitely a new experience that's for sure. The selection was vast, and there are plenty of option of what you can put inside the pot. The broths (pho and tonkotsu) were pretty okay. We tried to spruce them up with the sauces they had, but just couldn't find the proper mixture. The things you add to the mix give it a different taste which isn't bad. The appetizer that's included is good, but they are pretty minuscule. The taste of them were good though so I can't knock them for trying. Ultimately, if you get a chance to try them go for it. But all the staff , from the receptionist, servers, and everyone of their staff we came across were so professional and just gave wonderful customer service . Everyone was so friendly and courteous. My favorite place!! I've tried most of the broths but am a spicy miso gal. You can't go wrong with any of them. The buffet area is always kept extremely clean and fresh! Went here because my family and I was craving shabu shabu, and we found this gem on yelp/google. Its right next to ontario mills mall. When you first walk in the first thing you notice is how beautiful the restaurant is. Everything is elegantly smooth. Very pleasing to the eye. We were seated very fast with the host being very attentive to us I believe his name was Terence. He made sure we were seated and had our server fairly quickly. It's an all you can eat style shabu/hot pot 1. Pick your appetizer 2. pick your broth 3. Pick your meat selection. (2 at a time but is unlimited) Once you make your order you can go to the salad and meat bar and get all your goodies for your hot pot. Also a wide variety of sauces like any traditional shabu spot. By the time you come back to your table with your selection your hot pot is already there waiting for you. They have unlimited curry rice and the selection for the bar is more than enough. I've never been to an AYCE hotpot place before but I was impressed with the value this place offers. I went during dinner time and it wasn't super packed at all. Everything is pretty straightforward: pick your broth type, free appetizer, and away you go. The main proteins like slices of ribeye, brisket, etc. are also AYCE, but come at a limited rate, which is only 2 small plates at a time. Each plate holds about 4-5 slices of the protein. The rest of the "salad bar" is where most of the value is in my opinion. Sure, you can just keep requesting 2 meats at a time, but they also offer actual unlimited seafood, like mussels, clams, whole blue (?) crab, shrimp, fish balls etc. There's also an assortment of vegetables to add some flavor to the broth and fiber to your meal as well as some carb options in the form of rice, ramen noodles (that come in a spinach option too!) and udon noodles. This place is absolutely worth the price for what it offers in value and I definitely would come back next time. I think the main thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is the quality. Sure there's unlimited seafood and proteins, but everything doesn't feel super premium.
