The corn was soft and sweet, the sausage had a great Cajun flavor, and the wings were crispy and enjoyable. Upon entering the establishment, we found ourselves besieged by a great swarm of flies, as though the plague itself had taken residence in the dining chamber. Verily, the sauces were so scarce that one was compelled to pay additional coin merely to obtain enough for proper sustenance. The seafood platter brought forth much sorrow. It was evident that the creatures of the sea had not been cooked within the sauce as promised, for the flesh was mushy, lacking all flavor and spirit. The lobster was a particular tragedy, with the meat clinging stubbornly to the shell as though refusing to be eaten by mortal hands. The potatoes arrived hard as castle stones and seemingly only half acquainted with the cookfire. The crab legs were served colder than a winter's morn in the northern kingdoms. As for the seasonings and flavors, they were so faint and uninspired that one could scarcely remember them moments after tasting. To further test our patience, part of our order never arrived at the table. Though the absent items were thankfully removed from the bill, the inconvenience remained. And lastly, the "loaded tots." Good people, these did not taste of the sea, but rather of some strange alchemist's imitation of it. It was as if a village wizard had waved a wand over potatoes whilst shouting, "Make them ocean-flavored!" The result was a most unnatural briny dust that haunted every bite. In conclusion, I departed this tavern poorer in coin, richer in disappointment, and still in search of a meal worthy of the kingdom. The shrimp was on the bigger side compared to other seafood boil places and was cooked perfectly, still has a bouncy texture that you want. We had it on the cajun medium which was not too spicy so if you're looking for a kick I think a level hotter might be better and the boils itself were not overly saucy just enough. Came in and asked for plain sausage and potatoes due to celiac which is an autoimmune disease. Then his manager or owner not sure came back and had a problem with my order and said there was no gluten in the sauce and shrimp should be fine. I then explained my situation and she asked if I'd go into anaphylactic shock, will you need to go to the hospital from eating this. I thought it was rude because people with allergies have EpiPens and er, I lose the way to absorb nutrients and become malnourished. This place is tiny! I made reservations for 8 and when we arrived they didn't seem to know or care that we made reservations and just said sit wherever. It was empty but there wasn't a table for 8 so I asked what to do and they said to take the two tables of 6. So we had to push the tables together ourselves and had 12 seats for 8. I got snow crab legs and 1/2 shrimp and it included potato, sausage, and corn. The crab was good. The shrimp was ok, not super fresh. Potato were cut too big for my preference. Corn was good. Sausage seemed to be just hot dog and not good. The sauce was a bit weird, gritty. Also important this is a live/work type building and is there is no public parking garage, only the 30 minutes spots in front of the stores. I called the restaurant and the person answered "hello" so I thought it wasn't a real place. But after clarifying, she told me to park in the 30 minute spots. Alfonso helped us out and told us how the menu worked. We ordered the 1/2 lb king crab, 1 lb crawfish and 1lb peeled shrimp. This was enough for my wife and I, as we are light eaters. The sauce we chose was the daddy sauce with medium spice, medium spicy has a kick but no real spiciness. The food came out in a tray which, imo, is better than being all on the table.
