READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU BOOK!!!! So I'm writing this review BEFORE my stay, so this will be a first. I typically hold a company retreat with a nice dinner to celebrate a new year with my employees and their significant others. I try and make these reservations with much advance notice. In addition to a nice dinner, I typically pay for them to stay overnight so that they can enjoy themselves and not worry about having to drive back home. For some reason, I decided to check online at the menu, as I had made the reservations back in 2024, and restaurants like to change their menus sometimes seasonally. I was getting ready to send out an email to my employees about the upcoming weekend schedule and I was surprised to see that their website indicated that the restaurant was closed and would not re-open until February 8th. My reservations are next weekend on February 1st. I called the hotel immediately, and was told that the manager would get in touch. I get a text message and basically got a (FU) "Sorry for the inconvenience. Take care". Were they going to even call and let us know? Where am I going to find a restaurant that serves 12 people on such short notice? At this point, I don't even want to stay at their hotel and feel like cancelling all 6 room reservations. Since it's in 1 week, their cancellation policy is for a night's stay, and they cancelled my dinner reservation so I can't cancel the 6 rooms and look for another place because now I would be subject to basically the full reservation of over $1,500. There is no customer service!!! The managers don't appear to be on duty, and the poor person who answers the phone (off site) really has no clue as to what is going on and can't transfer the calls to any real person in charge. I really should have read the reviews prior to booking here. I also got two different stories. One was this "chef had a family emergency" and the other was that the "chef quit". So which is it?? read more

Had a great two night stay. Saturday was a blast- we enjoyed happy hour, ate at the restaurant, saw live music in the speakeasy and enjoyed a late night fire on the patio. Met some wonderful people during our stay. The bed was really comfortable. Don't forget your suit- there is a cool hot tub. The view was so amazing. Walking distance from a store with liquor. Internet was a little spotty so plan to unplug and bring some books or cards! Also no hairdryer in the room. read more

Good good, great atmosphere, friendly & hospitable servers & staff. Plus we had a fun time at the bar afterwards with the bartender/barista/waitress (she had to wear many hats that night!). Overall a wonderful night out with friends at this beautiful old inn & restaurant overlooking the Russian River! read more

Awesome menu with a scenic view!! Great to check out a spot so close but so far away from the normal spots on River Rd.

Went there recently for breakfast and we won't be going back. They sat us instantly given they were empty but with no menus. We had to get up and grab the menus ourselves since we waited for 5 mins after being seated and nobody came. The food took longer than it should have given it was only us and a table of 2. When we got our food our bacon and most of our food was either room temp or flat out cold. My eggs benny were missing a whole egg on one of the English muffins. We asked for S&P, hot sauce, and ketchup right away. They gave us a bottle of hot sauce with maybe 1 tablespoon of hot sauce in the bottle. So we had to ask them again for more hot sauce, which we finally got. However, took them another 2-3 mins to find salt. They never offered us any water and I asked for black tea and they gave me a 1/2 cup of hot water. Both the food and service need a revamp. Server was meh, food was below meh. Overall, if you want a solid, warm and tasty breakfast, go elsewhere. read more

The best boutique hotel we have stayed in. It's a hidden gem located in Sonoma Country where a lame chain hotel in town cost way more than this amazing property. The rooms were just as pictured online, the beds were super comfy, the ambiance, fire pits, riverside lounge chairs, swings, and dock with swimming, kayaking and paddle boards was EVERYTHING!!! Located in a lovely grove of redwoods where you can still hear the crickets, it's a new favorite and we will be coming back to stay for a few days! The cocktails were delicious especially while we watched the sun go down and the glistening of the Russian River! Only reason it didn't get a 5 was the restaurant. They were super short staffed and it took over 1.5 hours to get our food the evening we stayed, although when the food came it was delicious! (We were so hungry after a 5 hour motorcycle ride I forgot to take photos, but the steak and Alfredo pasta was delicious!) OH... I totally forgot!!!! They also offered a snack/continental breakfast area open 24/7 and the Nesspresso coffee pot in the room was top notch!!!! read more

Splendid, splendid, small hotel, which I absolutely loved! The restaurant and food were just spectacular, cozy and delicious cuisine. The ambience of the entire hotel was simply fun and the staff was beyond cordial. Jason , the bartender was the hit of the entire visit but a great guy and tons of fun. I highly recommend, this hotel to anyone looking for a getaway in this region read more

Fabulous place. The new menu is great and the presentation was excellent. The staff is very friendly, if overwhelmed. Seems inconsistent with when the speakeasy is open or not, when the kitchen is closing etc, so it's likely staffing is a challenge. Definitely worth it for the view, the vibes, and the food! read more

Such a beautiful space, cozy and elegant all at the same time. Sitting outside you have a beautiful view overlooking the river and hills in the background (sunset time is stunning) and being there in the summer with all the history feels like you're at the resort in Dirty Dancing. Great food and cocktails, staff is super friendly as well. I was there with 3 girlfriends and they took great care of us. Looking forward to seeing it lit up for the holidays. read more

Beautiful view right on the river. Excellent dinners. Nice waitstaff. Gorgeous grounds. Beautiful resort.

I previously went to this establishment when it was the Village Inn & Restaurant. I reserved a table outdoors overlooking the Russian River last year on my wife's birthday and noted that we would be celebrating it. I was advised that it was under new ownership and the new name would be Boho Manor. Upon being seated, I noticed that there were cobwebs between the deck's railings. The service was just adequate and the food also adequate. There was no recognition of my wife's birthday whatsoever which was at the very least disappointing. I thought I'd give it another chance this year due to the romantic setting on again my wife's birthday. Once again, cobwebs throughout the deck's railings (which I cleared using the menu). The prices were comparable to a restaurant in San Francisco, but yet we were presented with paper napkins. When I asked our waiter (the same one we had last year) if this was because we sat outdoors, he replied that that was also the case for indoor dining. They stocked no Canadian whiskey (no VO, Crown Royal, Canadian Club....). There was a lengthy (20-30 minutes) wait for our entree. I ordered the lamb shank which was bland. I also had to request that our waiter bring us new silverware after the 20-30 minute wait for our entree after we finished our appetizer (he should have been alert to this and done so without my asking). And finally, once again no acknowledgement (maybe even a cupcake with a candle?) of my wife's birthday. I am sorry to say that there will be no return visit to the Boho Manor on my part. David G. This place! It was a beautiful setting, but that is all I could rate it for. It is an expensive restaurant where you eat on metal wire tables with no tablecloths. We were told, when we checked into the hotel, that the reservation system wasn't really set up, yet, so what we put on the online reservation didn't really go to the people at the restaurant. The host did tell us to pick out a table and he would put a reservation tag on it. We did pick the table, but it was occupied when we came down for dinner. When the server first came to our table (all the staff seemed very frantic and it took about 10 minutes to come over to us.) We immediately ordered drinks, a salad, and our main dishes at the first interaction with our server since it seemed like they were very unorganized. We got our drinks and salad about 15 minutes later. I asked for no blue cheese and there was some hidden below the lettuce, so it made us feel a little uneasy as if we had gotten someone else's salad and they just removed the visible blue cheese. And the drinks were very strong-great for my husband, but too strong for me to enjoy it. About 30 minutes in, the table that we had originally asked for became freed. We told a different server that we were going to move because we had t seen our server for a while and he was very rushed when he did appear. After we had been seated for an hour and 15 minutes, we hadn't been checked on or even spoken to from our server. My husband was getting very frustrated, at this point. He flagged down the server that we did see and asked what was going on. That server asked what we had ordered and when I told him the chicken and salmon he informed us that the kitchen had run out of salmon 20 minutes earlier! This is the point we left. I only had taken two sips of my drink, so we just left the restaurant. No one apologized, no one tried to stop us, they all just stood around just looking at us when we're were asking why it was an hour past when we ordered and we had never been checked on. No one seems to be running the restaurant-they all just seemed like they were very flustered or on something. I do not recommend this place, at all! read more

If you take a visit here, please make sure to take a peak outside. So beautiful and relaxing. The reason I put three stars is because they do not have a wide range of food choices. Their menu was a bit small. They also did not have much choice for kids. My husband and I had some chicken and steak and that was quite delicious. Paired it with some white cab. Overall this place was a nice outing, just was hoping there was more to choose from. read more

Such a fun place to grab food and drinks with friends! Amazing ambiance, superb cocktails and fantastic live music if you are lucky!!

7/25/24 Had made a reservation for 4. We were on time, but when we got there we were told they could not honor that, and stuck us (unescorted) down a flight of stairs to the lower porch table hung on a fence, with uncomfortable stools. After no wait person for 20 min (even a glass of water) we went up and ordered ourselves. We were then asked if we minded if it was going to take a really long time. We knew it would be pricey (fries $16), but never expected to be treated so rudely with a lack of ANY service. We left. read more

Stopped in for Thai Tuesday at the Boho Manor and had the authentic Thai Beef dish, (Pad Gra Prow variation) I've been to the dining room for the excellent traditional menu but this pop up is exciting. My meal was perfectly prepared and I could hear other diners complimenting about their dishes as well. Dining on the heated balcony overlooking the Russian River is a special treat too and just 32 minutes from Santa Rosa so it's an easy run. read more

Quite good food and wine but a long wait for them. It seemed that a lot more people showed up than they expected. I'd go again.

We had some pretty mediocre dining experiences in the Guerneville area but were pleasantly surprised by this place. It's nestled away down a road full of beautiful trees in Monte Rio and lies right beside the Russian River. We were given a choice between eating inside or out and had to choose out. Our table overlooked the well kept grounds and the river. The waiter was obviously busy, but he did a great job. They made a decent Manhattan for my partner and my wine was good. He had tempura battered scallops with some kind of an Asian inspired pasta, and I had chicken scaloppini also with pasta along with nice, fresh vegetables. Both were very good especially when compared to what we ate up the river the night before. I would love to come back and stay at the hotel some day. read more

Wow! What a surprise in Monte Rio. This area is not know for good asian food, but I love Thai food, so while I was in the area I stopped by during their Thai Tuesday opening. I think they were surprised by the turnout as the server was very busy. Don't expect a quick serve here as Tuesday is like a weekend in Monte Rio. The waiter/bartender was great. But the real gem here was the food. I know real thai food and I was not disappointed with my som tam and my green curry dishes. I wish it were a little bit more spicey but I can understand why it was tamed down for opening night. My friend had the ground beef dish. He loved it. The menu choices were limited but it all looked legit to me. I will definitely be returning for Thai Tuesdays very soon! read more

First, service was ok. Was seated quickly however the food took forever to come out. When food arrived, it was cold and very salty. So salty, it was hard to eat and ultimately asked the waiter to have it removed from our tab as I barely touched my food. Ultimately, very over priced for the quality of food. My boyfriend and I were left very disappointed despite the reviews and potential the restaurant has given its scenic area. read more

Great service, beautiful location, comfy bed, awesome drinks, and very kind staff. Didn't get to eat at the restaurant because it wasn't open. Very thin walls as the building is older so bring a sound machine. ;) I'll be back! read more

So disappointed. Reviews and menu looked so good. I arrived on time for my 6 PM reservation on a Tuesday. I was advised it was "Thai Tuesday" and was offered a menu of Thai dishes. (The regular menu is off-limits on Tuesdays) OK, I love Thai food and I'm already here and the place looks gorgeous with a water view. Immediately noticed the server is overwhelmed even though the place was mostly empty. I asked and she confirmed she was the only server. I knew what that meant so I made a conscious decision to be patient and enjoy the view and my book. I waited over an hour for my chicken and vegetables and green curry. The rice was room temperature. The vegetables consisted of long over cooked green beans and some other mildly crunchy white matchstick-cut vegetable that I couldn't name. The sauce was really good! So much potential. My server was very kind and probably very good at her job but spread far too thin. I chose to wait it out, that's on me. But I can't imagine what was going on in the kitchen and how such a well reviewed establishment served what they did. read more
