We stayed in the glamping tents (all the rooms were booked, so we decided to give them a chance!). The tent was nice and cozy with a heating blanket on the bed in case it gets cold, and a fan in case it gets hot. They provide locks for you to lock the tent when you leave. The tent has electricity, plug ins for your chargers or blow dryer, etc., clean outdoor showers, flush toilets, and sinks. The water in the shower got nice and warm. The care that they put into this place is incredible. Lighted votive candles in glass lanterns and string lights illuminated every night, continental breakfast included in your stay and brought to you at the time of your choosing every morning, a welcome cocktail when you check in, complementary bikes that you can ride around town, fire pits, yoga "studio", and the pool and spa with the honor bar that are open 24/7. We really enjoyed our stay here. We had plans for our anniversary while we were there, but I would like go back to simply enjoy the amenities next time! The bathroom was surprisingly spacious and large, with a full size tub/shower. There was a mini-fridge and a coffee maker. The cottage we stayed in had two studios, with a shared wall. Unfortunately we could hear the people on the other side of the wall whenever they were talking (and unfortunately they were talking very early in the morning), so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to noise and booking a studio. Right outside our cottage was the fire pit, which was lovely in the evening with supplies for s'mores! We loved how dog-friendly this property was. There was a dedicated pet relief area that was fully fenced off. The continental breakfast starts at 8:30 and has a decent selection. Check-in and check out process was easy. Parking was right outside the gate along the property. We would stay here again.

They are clearly understaffed, and the staff who are working have little to no training at all. I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years and for this place to be awarded two key Michelin is not something I experienced while staying there. First off for almost $900 a night our room had paper thin walls, can hear the neighbors talking, snoring, and other sounds. There was mold in the grout of the showers, and our privacy curtain that was broken. They advertise deep soaking tubs and a spa like feel, but it's the complete opposite of that. All they had to offer was a small freezing cold pool and a cold hot tub. Unless you wanted to spend over $1,000 a night for a small "private hot tub" thats not at all private as there are rooms upstairs looking over onto the patio. The restaurant advertised free breakfast which was a small confusing menu. The "free" options where of pancakes, yogurt, and a tiny breakfast sandwich, which was just eggs. If you wanted anything extra, get ready to be charged for non quality food. The "Fresh Juice" was clearly store bought and not freshly pressed like they advertised. Clearly, the servers in the restaurant need help. Im pretty sure I witnessed someone walk out one morning. If you are looking for a place to relax with room service, basic needs such as lunch, drinks, or snacks, they do not offer it here. Which I found very surprising for a luxury hotel. Everything about this trip fell short. Which is really disappointing as the pictures and website advertise the opposite. For the price of the room, amenities and such is not worth it here.

My favorite part was breakfast, which was very simple but special when enjoyed next to the communal fire and trees. They provided coffee and tea, yogurt with toppings, hard boiled eggs, and a delicious applesauce bread. Highlands Resort is a short walk from Main St where you can grab dinner or dessert. Lots of places were closed on Tuesday, so I recommend visiting later in the week. We really enjoyed our stay at Highlands Resort and will definitely be back!

Managed to get only 1 down half mast. * No battery in our smoke detector. (picture attached) * There were cups wrapped in plastic next to sink. There was a spider INSIDE of the plastic wrap. It was revolting. (picture attached) * Vanity looked new but top drawer would not open and close. The cabinet drawers were not aligned and unstable. Further, the insides of the drawers were already soiled and stained. (pictures attached) * No drawers for clothes. Where do we put our T-shirts? Underwear? Shorts? Pajamas? Lived out of suitcase. * No soap dish next to the sink. All of these, individually experienced, might have been trivial. However, collectively, they add up to an experience of being in a cheap motel. These were not the major issues. The three major issues we had were the flooring, the musty odor in the room and the dirty bathtub. * Floor was dirty. My wife took a picture of her socks after wearing them for under an hour. They were white socks and the feet were BLACK. (picture attached - this is not altered or edited in any way). * Musty smell. Like it had not been aired out in some time. * The bathtub was dirty, just unacceptable. Unfortunately, there is more but you get the picture. Caveat Emptor.

Not what you expect to say about a trailer in the woods, but here we are. The suite came with a wood-fired hot tub, which was the highlight. Soaking out there in the redwoods at dusk with the Airstream lit up next to us is an image I'm going to be chasing for a while. Two people made the stay: Blythe at the front desk was absolutely wonderful -- warm, personable, and clearly someone who takes pride in her work and in making sure guests have everything they need. And Favian, who set up our wood-fired tub both nights, was so friendly and full of great recommendations for food and things to do in the area. Can't wait to come back.

Downtown had some cute restaurants and it also has a Safeway. For the price, I will not be back. But it was nice to experience it once.

We had a wonderful stay at the Inn on the Russian River! We were a large family group of 12 people…read morestaying in five different rooms, and the property was a great fit for our group. The property has direct access to the river, including a small dock where you can fish, which was a highlight for our family. There's also a lovely fire pit area, and the s'mores kits were such a fun touch for the kids. We also appreciated the complimentary coffee in the morning. The large grassy area was perfect for the kids to run around and play, and there are plenty of games available as well, including board games and Jenga. These little touches made it easy for the kids to stay entertained and enjoy the property. The rooms are on the smaller side, but having a mini refrigerator in each room was incredibly helpful when traveling with kids, especially with a larger family group. The owners were exceptionally nice, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. It's clear that they take a lot of pride in the property and genuinely care about creating a great experience for their guests. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back. It's a charming, family-friendly spot with thoughtful amenities and a beautiful setting right on the Russian River. Downtown was a short walk (groceries, pizza, sandwiches, anything you need) and on the property there were kitchen spaces for us to hang out with plenty to do on the property. Rooms #11 & 12 were amazing. 11 is the larger room and larger bathroom with 2 full beds. 12 has a pullout sofa and full bed. Easily sleeps 2 couples in each room or mom and dad and 2 kids, but that's not what you're there for. Outside (if you take both spaces) is a large outdoor deck divided in half by a wall but connected so you can get from one room to the other. It has a shared yard beyond that. The landscaping is amazing. The property is on the river with tons of space to chill in the water. They have a deck for the facility and everyone can use it. It's shared so be prepared to be with other people but it is a place that seems to attract a good crowd. Everyone who we ran into there was nice. Another thing on the property they was cool was coffee, fresh ice cold filtered water, popcorn, and the front desk made the kids cotton candy daily. There is an ice machine there as well so you can roast in the sun and drink ice cold filtered water till you pop. That part of the place is in the outdoor kitchen which is community and has board games and seating for everyone. Outside the kitchen is bathrooms and seating areas. 2 fireplaces for s'mores and I believe a bbq pit (I can't remember we have a travel size Traegar they let us use) as well. If I were to get married or have a party it would 1000% be here. I think there is 12 rooms and I'd rent the whole spot for it without even thinking twice. Maybe bring extra help to keep the party rolling but this place legit is perfect for it. They also have like a VIP outdoor seating area we didn't end up getting but has a TV and some "roped off" area to hang out at that is an amazing setup. I can keep going but we loved this place. Even upon arrival our room had spiders have babies in the room (happens yall it's on the river and def outdoorsy) and my wife felt awkward asking because we didn't want to sound like the complaining people but we asked for a vacuum to get them out. The lady actually came in the room and helped us. 5 star stay. 5 star people, oh and being a licensed contractor and getting along with people who work, the people who kept the grounds were cool too. Super nice to our kids, and when you see the landscape, you can tell they are good at their job. Can't say enough good stuff. We will be back.
