Small bed

This is for the hotel room only. Very quaint setting in the redwoods along the Russian River. This inn has rooms in the main building and an annex, those rooms definitely are nicer and have letters for the rooms as opposed to numbers. The patio outdoor area along the river is definitely the gem of the place! It would be convenient if the bathrooms had an outlet so that you could use a hairdryer while looking in the mirror. Also a hook on the door to hang towels would also be good. We were in room 32 which had a full sized bed, a little on the small side. I think they should change out the mattress as this one was a tad lumpy. A small bedside table on both sides of the bed would have come in handy! The door that joined the other room was not soundproof, could hear the convo next door. Thank goodness for earplugs! I did like the complimentary Italian (still) mineral water and Kind bars. The room has a small fridge, wall heater and fan. Also has a knockoff brand Nescafé which is a welcome change from Keurig. You do have to walk up two sets of stairs to get to the rooms. The bar area is awesome however. Happy hour on Saturday is 5-7 and you can get classic cocktails for $10. Enjoyed a vodka martini along the river while writing in my journal in the sunshine. I would consider returning just for the outside area alone. The WiFi is strong and it would make for a nice escape to do some writing! Would probably get a different room however.

Quirky little inn! Cute and quant. The rooms are small but comfortable. Everyone was so kind - great customer service! Food was delicious. Best part of the manor is their river access and outdoor patio and sitting areas. Go!

Beary LOVED his first vacation! The staff were so amazing to him and helpful in making our vacation perfect. While he's too big to lower into the kayak, he enjoyed watching from the dock, getting dinner at the hotel, the A/C in the room and all the hiking/exploring. The happy memories are priceless!

Amazing view of the river!

We had a wonderful meal at Boho Manor! The Gatsby theme is fun and we had an excellent table on the deck overlooking the river. The service was a little disorganized but our server was friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed the food, especially the mushroom appetizer. Afterward we enjoyed music in the lounge and drinks by the outdoor firepits. Can't wait to come back!

We're very happy with our stay and the restaurant here at BOHO MANOR!. The food is amazing! The burger was cooked perfectly. The salmon dish is delicious, especially with the crispy skin!

We just left our stay and everything was amazing! We got away for a night and were able to stay in one of the rooms with a river view and balcony- worth it. We arrived a little early and were able to roam the beautiful grounds and sit and relax by the river for a bit before our room was ready... the staff was friendly, helpful, and lovely. So many beautiful and comfortable places to admire the river and take a nap. The room was great- dinner was delicious- and we can't wait to come back soon.

The historical location and beauty of this property alone is worth 3 stars and that's what I'm leaving because the rest of our experience was lackluster at best. We arrived for our 7:15 reservation for dinner last night, it was quite busy so we did have to wait at the hostess counter for almost 20 minutes. That was ok because we were chatting with other folks waiting and knew we wanted to see the show, so we could wait a little. Eventually we were seated outside to the far end of the patio, sort of jokingly once we sat my friend and I joked together we hope we don't get forgotten. Spoiler alert, we did. A kid was seated at the other table next to us about 1/2 way into us waiting for someone to come and acknowledge our table (drinks, water, anything). While we waited, a waiter came and took the kid's order and still didn't even acknowledge our table. By this point it was almost 8pm. We waited till 8, then got up and left. I was shocked when the waiter was right next to us and still ignored us and left to put in the kid's order but we were seated first, No one ever brought water, asked us if we had questions, nothing. It was like we weren't even in the dining patio. Here's my issue, when we walked inside my friends who got seated just before us as we walked in, not only did they have drinks, they had their food on the table! No one even knew we were sitting out there waiting. When I saw their table full of service, I just needed to get out of there. I was so upset. Earlier in the evening I had checked in on our reservation to ensure we were all good and Lorie who works there was initially quite abrasive about me checking on my reservation but she had called me the day before and while I had left a return call, I never heard back so I wanted to make sure everything was fine. She told me she had like 46 messages to return so likely I was one of them and if she waited long enough then it wouldn't matter cause the time would pass for the intended needed timeline. Um, what? It was a bizarre glance into her method of customer service. Fast forward to when we were seated, same gal from the front desk earlier that night was who seated us and told us she'd make sure someone knew we were there. Apparently no one knew we were there. When the kid who was seated after us got served while we continued to wait, we drew our line in the sand and gave up. As we were walking out through the patio and dining room to leave we could see the crowd had broken and many tables were now empty, the waiter was in the far corner chatting off to the side with some folks (not seated), the gal who sat us was chatting with folks in the dining room. It was so obvious no one gave a hoot. Really disappointed the night went down like it did. I go out to west county often and was excited to share this beautiful spot I didn't know existed with my guy for a future date experience but man now I'm just not sure. The location is amazing, but if service is going to be like that, then I'm just not sure. Such a shame.

Loved the concept of feeling drawn into a scene from the Great Gatsby except its on the Russian River instead of Long Island. Came by in the afternoon with my dog to check it out and spend some time lounging on the lawn anticipating the meal to come. The main attraction as far as I am concerned was the beef wellington. All three of us got it. But first we shared the Caesar salad which was good although the server neglected to offer us any freshly ground cracked pepper. The beef wellington however it was outstanding. I haven't had it for decades and it's really hard to find. The beef was outstanding, perfectly cooked to a medium rare request. I shared a few bites with my dog and he was duly appreciative. It came with some delicious smashed potatoes and a few Spears of asparagus. We followed this up with an outrageous dessert which I would describe as a chocolate pecan bread pudding with ice cream and the little caramel sauce. I'm attaching a picture for your edification. None of us could withhold our admiration. My only criticism of this experience would be the fact that they provide cheap paper napkins which don't quite seem appropriate in the world of Gatsby

It's an older building on the river so it's not high luxury or filled with modern convenience (like an elevator). But we loved the chalet feel, the big fire in the lobby fireplace, the decor. The newer addition houses the restaurant and bar which are very spacious. Continental breakfast was included and a good start to the day. It's quiet, warm, clean and affordably priced. Very much like little hotels we've been to in Europe. Recommend for a short trip, and suggest getting a room with a view of the river if available.

Not inviting so we sat at a high boy in the darkened bar, which was much nicer. I'm sure it's beautiful to sit on the balcony in the summer on warm nights. We chatted with the German owner who was doubling as a bartender, who was very nice. We loved the German influences in the bar, as we had just been to Oktoberfest in Munich. The owner's daughter Sarah runs the kitchen. My husband had a pork tenderloin schnitzel "Vienna style" ($20) and I had a jaegerschnizel with mushroom gravy ($20) and both were excellent. We split the potato pancakes (two with sour cream and apple sauce, $12) which were served crispy but tasty. They had a nice German beer and wine list. We finished with a delicious apple strudel to complete a lovely meal. I recommend this restaurant for tasty dinners in a unique venue.

We arrived a little early which the owner said was fine (they live onsite) but they were out to lunch upon checkin. They told us our room number and the door was unlocked. It had a nice deck with umbrella, but the weather was cold and foggy so we didn't use it. Room was nice but a bit dark and we could hear every word the upstairs guests were saying, so recommend staying on top units, even though you'll need to walk around in the summer to the river. The unit had a fridge, microwave, small stove, sitting area with tv, and small bathroom. It was a bit cold as the fake fireplace didn't work, but the AC / heater in wall unit did work. We couldn't sleep with it on because it was quite noisy. The Inn is in a pretty location right on the river but they have tons of weddings in the summer so it might be overrun with wedding guests and the ceremony / reception if you go (be sure to ask about it). They have a nice gazebo with coffee and ice and an outdoor fire pit which we didn't use. It's right in the town of Monte Rio which has a grocery store, coffee shop, movie theater in town. We golfed at Northwoods which is about 10 minutes down the road, and had dinner across the bridge at a German place which was quite good. At over $300/night, not sure it was worth it, but it was our anniversary and something different. The owners were very nice and improving the property. I would return in summer if there wasn't a wedding taking place.

Further, the insides of the drawers were already soiled and stained. (pictures attached) * No drawers for clothes. Where do we put our T-shirts? Underwear? Shorts? Pajamas? There was a host at the front desk when we checked in, but it was confusing, as the sign said they were away. When we checked out, Saturday am there was no one at the front desk. It seems like it is managed somewhat remotely, because I received texts during our stay. However, they only respond to the texts during business hours and they never really answered my questions. The shower accoutrements were nice as was the coffee. All in all, we had a great trip, but I wouldn't expect too much from this Inn. We didn't do any spa treatments. It is considered glamping but the hot water in shower ran out fast, not much to do in lodge, main group gas fire pit kept going out (front desk said it needs to be fixed) and for the price that fire should be going 24/7 and be fixed ASAP if broken. Also, they are very strict on firewood. Must be compressed or hardened wood. I understand this rule as regular wood tends to put off embers and so is a higher fire risk than compressed wood like Duraflame, but the guy who noticed my regular wood (before I realized the rule) and who lectured me about it was kind of douchey. They sell some but at more than double to triple what you can get it for at store. It is upselling at that price which is off-putting. So basically $400 in an Airstream and not near water or accessible lake or stream is a bit rude and glamping amenities not great...worth max $200.
