We bought wine and they let us bring over food from Cafe Aquatica (two doors down in the same building), as long as we removed our food trash. Very cool of them! It was quiet at the wine bar when we were there, but I imagine it's livelier when they have live music going on. Their back patio area connects to Cafe Aquatica's, so we enjoyed the music coming from there. Staff were super friendly and kind, telling us about the smaller production, local wines they offer. I enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc while soaking in some sunshine and river views. Friendly dogs on leash are welcomed! Cheers Friends!

You get to watch all of the action in the open kitchen from the bar. I loved watching staff shuck fresh oysters and prepare the other tasty dishes here at Trillium. I don't drink, but luckily, Trillium offers a great alcohol menu and a small NA section. The NA Rose I ordered was very tasty. I didn't splurge on any bites, but everything I watched come out of teh kitchen looked fantastic, and the happy hour deals are a steal! The service was great all the way through, and I just had to order a slice of the fresh coconut cake to go. It was creamy and delicious with tons of coconut flavor. The wines are thoughtfully curated from around the Sonoma region, and I always find something I like for whatever mood I am in, be it a light red, a full-bodied red, or summer whites and rosé. I even discovered a new champagne label here that has become one of my go to champers! The surroundings are gorgeous, with the Sonoma hills in the background. Sometimes I sit outside and watch the fog roll in from the coast, or watch the happy cows peacefully munching green grass in the pasture next to the patio. It's a pretty wonderful place to spend an afternoon. Inside, there are artful and fun gifts made by locals, along with all kinds of wine and cheese items I didn't know I needed and now can't live without. I replaced my wine glasses at home with goblets I found here, and I love them so much that it's nice knowing I can always easily get more! The live music on Saturdays has been a real treat. There is something pretty great about sitting outside in 70-degree weather, sipping a delicious wine and enjoying live music with the Sonoma hills around you. Alice is the perfect host. She is always friendly and welcoming, takes the time to explain the wines, and is great at recommending a bottle based on what you're looking for. GRILLED MAITAKE MUSHROOMS - ok I think this was the chefs most technically impressive dish, with an exercise in playing with bitter profiles and turning it into a master piece. Grilled maitake gets the char from the grill is the first flavor layer, it's woken up by the wild thyme from the zatar. Next the Japanese turnips bring the second dimension with earthy beautiful bitter notes on a bed of a creamy tahini based sauce. It's finished with fresh parsley to bring a fresh element to it. Great stuff. Could raddichio be added to make this more challenging? I saw those crunchy POTATOES and I got them even after eating the meal lol. Do yourself a favor and just get them - they're hot, crunchy and perfect to pair with the vegetables. Finally we got their chocolate mousse with bruleéd bananas sorry couldn't take a picture before it was all gone. Great way to wrap. The staff were all super friendly and helped with picking things from the menu! I got the mystery glass of wine and they had made a fun game out of it. The Beaujolais was great too. One thing I did like is their dips: ranch dressing and pepperoncini & preserved lemon. Ranch has a possibly cucumber/spinach component which was tasty. The pizza are visually pleasing, but I've had better pizza in the Bay Area. The pizza dough is flavorless, not very airy and not very sourdough.

To start, we checked in at the front, got a glass of sparkling to start, and was told to wait for everyone joining us to get here. We waited for a few minutes. Our host ended up forgetting us and started walking off with the other party when they finally showed up, and the guy we checked in with had to go tell him we were part of his group. I enjoyed the charcuterie box that comes with the tasting, albeit there was some moldy bits here and there. We got the harvest magnum experience ($90/person). They offer more affordable experiences as well. To be honest, I wasn't impressed with any of the wines. I did enjoy the seating experience, the charcuterie box, and the mini impromptu tour everyone was given of the production. The wine itself was underwhelming for the price and as nothing stood out to us, we finished our tasting and didn't grab anything to go. As we weren't wine club members here, the host didn't pay us much attention. Worth trying once, maybe, to see if their wines are to your liking.

Imagine our surprise when we walked into the tasting room and there was Jeremy! The girls were thrilled to see him again. We had a 2:00 PM tasting appointment, and Michael was our host. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. Jeremy had sold my friends a wine trivia game on their last trip, so naturally we brought it along and played while tasting. We actually played wine trivia in the car and at a few other wineries throughout our adventure, which made the trip even more memorable. The wines were delicious, and the winery has a warm, cozy atmosphere. The patio offers beautiful bay views, and even the bathrooms are charmingly decorated with thoughtful touches. One of my favorite finds was their unique champagne flutes. When you pour bubbly into them, the bubbles swirl like a tiny tornado inside the glass. It's a fun novelty and would be a great conversation piece for entertaining guests at home. Between the great wine, welcoming staff, beautiful views, and fun memories with friends, SCV Winery was definitely a highlight of our trip. We would happily visit again!

Their vineyards sit just five miles from the coast and this area is a very cool growing region. This is not an easy place to farm due to the elements of wind, rain, fog and rocky soil. The vineyards require great patience and care. We were assisted by Spencer and his hospitality and knowledge of their wines made for a wonderful experience. He was very kind and helpful. Wine tasting fee was $35 per person and these are the wines we tried - 2024 Chardonnay - Bay Vista 2024 Pinot Noir - Laurel Crown 2023 Pinot Noir - Salmon Creek 2024 Syrah - Sonoma Coast Although I am not a Chardonnay fan at all, I happened to really like their Chardonnay. I was a bit surprised at how tasty and refreshing it was. Between this wine and the Syrah I was sold. I don't care for Pinot Noir, although the Salmon Creek Pinot was not horrible. I definitely go for a bold taste in my red wines. This was a fun stop and I would recommend when you are in the area.
