Wall o' wine

On a recent trip to the Sonoma Coast (Bodega Bay, Jenner, and Gualala areas), I visited the Sonoma Coast Vineyards Tasting Rm. A perfect stop to pause and enjoy the coastal view and sip wine. I had bubbles, sauv blanc, and pinot. Really enjoyed the experience. This company also has membership benefits at MacArther Place and Farmhouse Inn (both in Sonoma County). I want to go there and the wines were good so I got a membership! Definitely coming back for my next wine pick up in September!

By coastal journey is coming to an end. I stopped here to see what they had. I'm typically do not care for Pinot's. Spencer was my tour guide. He described the wines accurately with enthusiasm. I must say Pinot now has a place on my wine shelves. Taste, color of wines were amazing. Sitting outside on a beautiful day just adds to the experience. I've chosen to pick up my wine club. Forces me to come back to this beautiful place.

I stopped by SCV for a glass of wine while hanging out in Bodega Bay for the weekend. This place is great, offering ideal views of the bay and great wines- but is pricey and somewhat pushy on the wine sales. Offering a great patio, indoor tasting room, and place for the kids to play- SCV is the place to try great wine in Bodega Bay (actually its the only wine tasting place I believe) It was super busy when we visited, but service was still quick and the servers are very knowledgeable about the wine. I had a glass of chardonnay for $15. It was scrumptious. One of the best chardonnays I have ever had. The kids were able to play on the lawn with grandpa while I sipped away. Very kid friendly space- A+ for that. Unfortunately, when it came time to pay, I felt the pushiness to join the wine club and purchase a bottle was a bit too much. The pricing on the glass is already high (I had one of the cheapest wines by the glass) but then the server tried to have me purchase a bottle by waving the glass price and joining the wine club. I feel like I should be able to just enjoy the glass and pay, but even after saying no twice, I was asked again if I was sure I didn't want to buy a bottle. Maybe tone it back on the pushy sales? Overall, this place is still a great place to enjoy some wine on the bay. Be prepared for being offered more than you ordered and be sure to bring a snack as the food options here are very limited. Cheers!

After a lovely day of hiking, my husband and I were in the mood for a glass of wine. We found this place off of Highway 1 and are happy we stopped! The tasting room has a nice outdoor patio with a view and allows dogs both outside and inside. The Sauvignon Blanc and Rose of Pinot Noir were both excellent and we ended up taking home a bottle of the Rose. Would definitely recommend!

What a wonderful experience all around! A group of 6 of us were camping at Bodega Dunes & had planned to go on a hike, the weather took a turn and we were eager to find an activity with a roof over our heads. I was able to find a reservation for 6 at 5:00pm. Each tasting of 4 wines was $30.00 which I thought was most reasonable. The location is right off HWY 1, has plenty of parking, and overlooks the beautiful bay. We were spoiled by Danielle who shared great facts about the wines and surprised us with some bubbly at the end to celebrate my birthday! Would definitely recommend visiting this beautiful location with stellar customer service, and delicious wines.

Wanted to do a little bit of wine tasting on our way to Sea Ranch so we popped into Sonoma Coast Vineyards with the whole family + dog. It was cold outside, even though they said they had heat lamps available off of their balcony, we opted to sit inside. Kelly welcomed us and went through their tasting menu; Chardonnay, 2 Pinots and a Syrah. It was nice tasting different Pinots back to back, especially being offered to try additional wines in their library. At $30 a tasting, you would think they would waive the fee with every bottle sold, but you have to spend $150 to get just one tasting waived. THIS is what kind of killed it for us since we walked away with two bottles and still had to pay the two tasting fees ($200+). Modern little tasting room, Kelly was great, wine was good, just wish the tasting fees would've been waived. Great views of the water and decent amount of parking.

Alex was so delightful to have help us today and it was a great experience for my first wine tasting! We had a great time, loved the wine, and sat with a waterfront view and a fire nextdoor Would absolutely recommend.

Spencer, thank you for the wine hospitality today. My friends and I had an amazing time for her bachelorette party. While I was the DD, my friends enjoyed the tasting which included 6 total different wines. The cost for tasting per person was $50. All in all, this is a small tasting room so be sure to make a reservation. Each res is allocated for an hour. Spencer was our host and he really made our visit very memorable. He described each wine very clearly, so much that I wish I was drinking *wink I wish they could have comped the bachelorette's tasting because we spent over $250 for our group. Also, they could play soft music over head to give a chill vibe on the outdoor patio. Be prepared, for food they only offer a cheese platter for 2 which will cost you $30 out the door. Other than that, sonoma coast vineyards offers some great wine options both white and red. I would recommend this wine tasting room.

Based on the reviews pics..this place didn't look that inviting. When you actually arrive..it's def one of the cutest tasting rooms I've been. A hidden gem for sure. Did the tasting which they catered to more white And sparklings. On a hot day..definitely appreciated. The Pinot rose and Chardonnay were my faves. We also got a charcuterie box which was made my the local valley ford cheese company. Another hidden gem. Love the local small town vibes. Relaxing, chill, def worth a stop on your way to bodega.

We made a reservation for 5 for a wine tasting at noon on a Saturday. We had our choice of indoor or outdoor seating. For the tastings we chose indoors then moved outside to enjoy a couple bottles together. Both seating areas are comfortable. We enjoyed most of the wines offered during the tasting. We did pay extra to taste the Pinots, otherwise your tasting will be primarily whites. Our party enjoyed the Pinots and the Rose. We were also able to taste a few off-the-menu wines, which we ended up purchasing. The Wine Club is a good deal if you like the wines. You get a certain number of tasting fees waived and can take your first shipment home the same day. Price points on the wines are not outrageous, so the club is affordable. We were also celebrating our 20 year anniversary, so our server was kind enough to bring us all a glass of their bubbly on the house, which we enjoyed very much! All in all, a nice tasting experience on the coast!

I stopped by here during a day trip to Bodega bay. We enjoyed a nice flight outside. The place is small, so I recommend a reservation if you have more than two people and are coming on weekend. Staff was super friendly.

One of only two tasting rooms I joined when I moved to the west coast 3 years ago! Always friendly and welcoming. The wines are bright and crisp and my favorite Chardonnay anywhere. Beautiful views. Accepts walk-ins and pet friendly.

After walking up to the counter the staffmember I talked to apologized for not having their private chef there but gave me the rundown of their offerings. The tasting price was unexpected but I guess I'm just used to how things were in the early 2000s when tastings in Sonoma were a lot more casual. I decided to just dive in and got two bottles to go. I think this place is more of a destination than I expected, which is cool, it was very much a nice spot to visit. I'll probably come back in the summer to get the full experience.

Patty, the tour guide spoke about the history and her Peruvian partner's substantial impact on the business. She led us down the road to see the chickens, pigs, and goats and encouraged us to peek through the window of the factory, though it was close to the public because it had to stay sanitized. Not as educational as I had hoped Despite being an unusually warm day Patty insisted we do the cheese tasting outside. We tried 5 different types, and oddly I preferred the cows milk cheese despite her specialty being goats milk. I also wasn't enthused about having the tasting on an unstable picnic table surrounded by an endless number of flies we struggled to fight off, and the cheese was steadily melting. Not what I pictured for a cheese tasting. With some additional resources this place could be spectacular.

She then rented my goats to another person without informing them of the cost. She thereby involved an innocent party in her scheme, again without asking me if moving my goats to another party's land was OK with me. My goats are my babies. I need to know where they are at all times. She claimed, after the fact, that I should have been driving a fair distance every other day to check on them. This was not part of our original deal. Besides, Patty OWNS A GOAT FARM AND SHOULD KNOW HOW TO TAKE CARE OF GOATS! Patty advertises herself as a goat farmer, but she doesn't even have any of her own goats! This woman and her farm are a run-down fake. Patty is quite elderly and suffers from severe memory loss. She is not even able to walk into her pastures due to physical issues. Don't go there. You will be disappointed in the lack of authenticity. This goat farm is a definite has-been and suffers from deferred maintenance, an owner who can't remember anything, and junk strewn everywhere.

I don't normally drink wine but came for the olive oil and the experience and it did not disappoint! I also eventually changed my mind that red wine can be good:) We were seated indoors and Edd gave us the rundown of what we'd be tasting for the afternoon complete with stories and lots of fun facts. (I now look at any bottles that say "cold pressed" with some light skepticism since it's clearly only written there for marketing purposes!) We ordered a selection of the panini sandwiches, the burrata and butternut squash salad, and the charcuterie board. The fire cheese was delicious and the spread was perfect. Throughout lunch, Edd brought us different wines to taste and by the end we were most definitely sold on the Stone Soup (the red version). The olive oil tasting was so much fun. First of all the bread was so delicious. And then we tasted about 15 (?) different olive oils or vinegars. The raspberry, lemon, and garlic ones were clear favorites. My personal favorites were the garlic and sage. Even though it was a bit of a rainy & cloudy day, the views from the patio were beautiful. We finished our wine out by the fire pit outside, and now I really need to come back during the summertime when the skies are more clear for the full experience. I left with lots of olive oil and great Christmas gifts for the family. The four piece olive oil sets are perfect for that and I brought one home for my family and we did our own inspired mini taste testing (I still miss Trattore's bread tho). 10/10 recommend and yes I definitely want to come back for the summer views and this pizza oven I keep reading in all the other reviews:))
