Frank was also extremely friendly and welcoming . Ray and Frank are knowledgeable and dedicated. It is definitely laid back and not high pressure. Just friendly and shoot the breeze vibes. Note that this winery sources it's grapes from elsewhere mostly in the Napa area and they focus on wine making. There isn't a large mansion, expansive grounds or caves to tour. This is a winery if you're interested in the wine label itself not a vineyard tour. We are impressed by the wines and enjoyed almost all of them. They are reasonably priced for wine purchase though I'm not used to paying $75-150 per person for tastings during the almost post pandemic Napa climate though I understand the price increase. . The wines range from $25-75 which is not considered over the top in Napa. We enjoy Saxum wines ( $100 to $500) very very occasionally and I would consider that high end , so Vinoce is definitely not on the high end in terms of price nor overpriced for their wines. Fun fact: Our host mentioned that their wines are seen on the TV show series "succession" ... We enjoyed our tasting and especially loved the Pinot and Cabernet. The Sauvignon blanc was a surprise purchase for us because we tend to prefer reds. The tasting room is near the scenic river which is quite nice. I recommend Vinoce! Visit and enjoy

I work in the wine industry on the retail side in Texas, while my husband does not, so creating an experience that feels both educational and approachable for both of us is not always easy. Steve absolutely nailed it. He welcomed us warmly, shared thoughtful stories about the wines and the winery, and made the experience feel incredibly personal. The tasting room itself is beautiful and feels like a hidden gem in Napa. We especially loved learning about the wines and the woman winemaker behind Levendi. The tasting was stunning from start to finish. What truly sets Levendi apart, though, is the level of hospitality. Since our visit, I have referred many of my favorite clients to Levendi, and Steve consistently goes above and beyond for them. He bends over backwards to make sure my customers are taken care of, and every single person I've sent has come back raving about their experience. At this point, a trip to Napa would not feel complete without a stop at Levendi. I honestly cannot imagine Napa without Levendi -- or Steve. This winery is owned by a wine-maker, Bulmaro Montes, a former vineyard manager and vice president of operation of Joseph Phelps Vineyards. Their vineyard is really small (only 2.6 acres!) and Cabernet Sauvignon is the only variety that they plant. I had a chance to taste their wines, named Marita's and Soma with Spanish-influenced tapas that were prepared and served by Pilar (a very nice and friendly woman), who is a receptionist, server, and chef at the winery. Their tasting room is in fact a cozy house with a nice view of their vineyard, so that I enjoyed both wines and food in a very family atmosphere. Marita's Cabernet Sauvignon is full-bodied and dense yet elegant. Soma is also elegant and smooth with good acid-tannin balance. They offer two types of tasting: one with tapas and another with food paring. You need to reserve a tasting since their place is tiny and they can accommodate only one party at a time. Please expect about an hour or two for the tasting. If you've never been there, it is a bit difficult to find the place. So, please make sure the direction before you go. One of the best guided trail ride experiences I've ever had. I'm a life-long horsewoman currently without horses. I took a not-so-experienced friend of mine to Napa Valley Trail Rides for a ride and am still beaming about what a great we had. Arriving at the barn, I was very impressed. Clean and well appointed, with aisles swept. (Always a good sign.) I was greeted by friendly, professional and obviously experienced staff who clearly care about the horses as well as their guests' experience. The horses were sleek, well-fed, friendly and clearly in great hands. The tack room contained beautiful , well made saddles, bridles, halters and blankets. They even had boots in just about every size available to rent for those who arrive without. The horses were saddled and ready for us. We spent some time in the arena getting a feel for each other, and then we went out on the trail. The trails were wide and well-groomed, winding through the vineyard. The trail guides were great, and the horses were very well behaved. Speaking with the manager, Michelle Rogers, I learned how much time the horses get individually with the staff keeping tuned up. The horses are selected for riders based on their experience, size and ability, ensuring that both horses and riders have an optimal experience. After the ride, we sat on the patio overlooking the garden and vineyards with a glass of wine. It was a beautiful way to spend a day. From beginning to end, every detail - location, facility, staff, animals, experience and wine (!) was top drawer. I couldn't recommend Napa Valley Trail Rides more enthusiastically. What an awesome, intimate experience we had with Kayla! She was knowledgable, interactive, and just an overall very pleasant guide. My husband and I were fortunate not to have had anyone else in our group that Monday morning, so we had our own private tour (50 minute ride) of their gorgeous vineyard-- the only place you can horseback ride through vineyards in Napa. Although I am an experienced rider, my husband is not. They paired us up with horses that met our individual skill sets. Not only are their horses approachable and friendly (you can interact with them as soon as you arrive at the facility), but they exude manageable demeanors for riders of any level of experience. We had coincidentally scheduled a wine tasting at Shadybrook Estate just a couple days prior (to our ride) but didn't realize that both facilities were on the same property until we showed up for our tasting and we saw the horses. We were very impressed by, and it's worth mentioning that their staff is meticulous about the cleanliness of their property; it's apparent that they take great pride in their guests' tasting and riding experiences. read more

My husband and I stumbled upon this winery from a Google review's picture that caught our eye. When we came for a visit, Meagan was our server. She took care of us and went above and beyond! Little did she know, this was our very first winery experience-as we are out-of-towners. Right before we left, the owner of the winery walked by to greet and thank us for coming. Trust me, the pleasure was all ours. We had the best seats in the house- in the lounge chairs in front of the fireplace overlooking pure perfection. The wine was also incredible. Right before we left, another kind gentlemen server poured us a taste of their best Cab- which he over heard is my husband's favorite type! I don't think another winery could touch the views, tastes, and hospitality of this winery. They know what they're doing and their servers are passionate about your experience. The experience was awesome. The location is a short 5-10 minutes drive from Napa"s main downtown. Our guide Taylor selected horses safe for all different riding levels in our group so the ride was relaxing and fun without any hand-holding or micromanagement. The horses are gorgeous, and grounds are spectacular with mountain and farm views. The estate is fashionably decorated and wine tasting area with a spa like ambiance. They wine hostess was very accommodating with a last-minute add on for our party, as well as knowledgeable about the two winemakers of the facility and all their products. We are definitely coming back for a private tour. If they had a restaurant there it would be even better. Definitely a must see sight while in Napa. 5 out of 5 stars easy! read more

I LOVED my experience at Napa Valley Trail Rides. Taylor, my guide, was so sweet and I had a great little horse named Wizard who was a bit of a rascal, wanting to eat the lucious vines..., but nothing I couldn't handle and I found him full of personality and very amusing. The facility is beautiful and the horses are well loved and cared for. I did not do the wine tasting, just the ride and it was awesome to see the vineyards from that view. I just wish it was a longer ride, of course. I hadn't been on a horse in 50 years, and it was just like riding a bike. Although I'm a bit sore today. Like after your first workout in a gym, unless you ride all the time. But all worth it. I HIGHLY recommend this as a fun and different thing to do in the Napa Valley! read more

This activity was added to our bachelorette weekend and we are so very happy that we did. All, if not, most of us were beginners and we were nervous. The lovely ladies, who were very professional and helpful, made sure that we were comfortable with the beautiful horses that they paired us up with and ensured our safety throughout our journey through their vineyard. As our horseback ride came to an end, the lovely ladies praised us on what a great job we did. We all were pumped up! The feeling was great! As we said our goodbyes to the amazing horses and the group of ladies that made our experience special, we couldn't help but talk about our fun filled and wonderful experience as we drove away. This is the second time I have been to Shadybrook Estates, Rapp Ranch to enjoy a trail. Yesterday I went for my birthday and I was meet with a big Happy Birthday from all the staff members in the barn. I got to ride a very well taken care of horse that was very sweet. The tack is clean, the barn is kept extremely clean and you can tell the horses are well loved. The ride is beautiful. I would highly recommend this for a Napa Valley treat. Great experience from start to finish with thoughtful touches along the way! The riding staff was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. They include helpful communication devices for each rider so they could be heard anywhere in the line. They even provided boots, which added to a more comfortable ride. The horses were well taken care any behaved better than most other trail horses in our experience. Our tour included a tasting at the overlook where we had a wonderful experience with our host! I took my husband here to celebrate his birthday and we had such an amazing time and experience! The staff were very helpful, friendly and kind. They helped us feel more comfortable and safe since it was our first time horseback riding. The horses were trained very well and I even grew attached to Leo (my horse at the time) so it was difficult to leave lol. My husband and I loved it! We will definitely do this again with our family! This experience was so fun! The ride around the vineyard was beautiful. The guides were awesome and clearly enjoyed their work and loved the horses. The pace was slow, but for this beginner that was perfect. Don't miss out on scheduling the tasting at the winery afterward. It was fantastic and Kim the hostess was very friendly and knowledgable. This was a highlight of our trip to Napa Valley, especially for my 15 year old daughter who wanted to ride a horse through a vineyard in Napa. The team that hosted us did a first class job as our guides for our 50 minute horseback ride. Additionally, I had an opportunity to taste their wines afterwards and was very impressed by the quality (and I'm a tough critic when it comes to wine). Extremely clean barn, beautiful horses that have vibrant personalities because they are obviously cared for well and loved by the staff. I'll start from he beginning cause there's alot to unfold in this review. We met up at the Napa Valley wine train at 5:30 am. Don't be late cause a few people were and we were waiting on them. They give you your itinerary and you sign a waiver , and the. You meet your pilot. They drove us in their vans to the take off point which was off the train track. See the video, it was amazing. I was worried that the wind might be to much fir the too lift off, but they said if they can't, they have alternative locations. Once we got I'm the air it was very smooth and very relaxing. There we about 20 people in our basket. Not alot of room, but keep in mind your not going to move around in the balloon basket . We rose up in the ir and went where the wind took us. After our pilot explained everything to us we were confident he knew what he was doing . He even took us inside a hillside where we were able to get close to some trees . Landing was pretty smooth. They picked up up with their vans and drive us back. And this is where it goes from 4 stars to 5. We purchase the champagne package which I highly recommend. We the weather being so unpredictable we had to wait. I was fine with wait because i do value my life. I had the chance to cross off a major item from my bucket list. A hot air balloon ride and wow, what an experience! The views were absolutely breathtaking. Floating high above the landscape, seeing everything from a completely new perspective, was truly magical. The sunrise was especially beautiful as we drifted along, and the silence up there, broken only by the loud occasional burst of the burner, was unlike anything I've ever experienced. That said, there were a few things to consider. The heat from the burner can be overwhelming, especially if you're not prepared for it. I didn't wear a hat, and I really wish I had and i am short 5'2 those blasts of hot air can get pretty intense when they hit you directly! So, if you're planning this trip, definitely bring something to cover your head. The landing was a bit of a wild ride, too. The ground was much harder and more uneven than I expected, and we didn't quite know where we'd land until we were almost on top of it. Also getting in and out can be extremely challenging. It's hard climbing into and out of the basket and it's very tightly packed. Not a lot of space to move. I knew the risks going in but the whole experience was so worth it. Even with those little surprises, it was absolutely incredible. Would I do it again? Definitely not! Despite the heat and the bumpy landing, the beauty of the experience makes it all worthwhile and a one timer for me. I highly recommend it if you're looking for something unique and unforgettable to add to your list of adventures. Just don't forget your hat!

The tour guides are ran by a mother and son. We had the son, James. He took us to 4-5 different places known by locals and let me tell you, lines were out the door for these places. We tried one thing off the menu that was chosen by the tour guides. I was skeptical because I'm picky when it comes to food but everything was so good. The segways were so fun too. Definitely would do it again.

We were fortunate to fly on what Bob described as a nearly perfect day. Our one-hour ride covered about 12 miles, and the views were absolutely incredible. He explained that it can sometimes be too cloudy to see very far, but we could see all the way to the San Francisco Bay. The ride does start very early, so I would suggest grabbing a quick energy drink or going ahead and having your first mimosa so you can really enjoy the experience! You also receive a glass of wine afterward, and that wine was so lit! For anyone who feels anxious about taking a balloon ride, Bob's welcoming personality and calm, knowledgeable approach make him the perfect person to fly with. I felt comfortable throughout the entire experience and would absolutely recommend him.

We didn't get Captain Kevin, but from our brief interaction he seemed great. Our captain (Captain Dalfred) gave us a good picture of what it was like to live off the Napa river and details about his pre-retirement life. Overall, this would be a great tour if you just want to chill along the river and appreciate the scenery. Your tour will be greatly influenced by your fellow passengers. This isn't really a "romantic" boat tour, but a chill tour to show you the scenery around the river. The two hours flies by fast.

So grateful to be sharing this review!…read more If you've been considering booking a Hot Air Balloon experience... Do it!! My husband surprised me with this epic experience for our anniversary. And from start to finish is was dope! King mentioned the booking process & communication prior to arrival were seamless. We arrived at 5:25am to a secure parking lot. Check in was smooth and they distribute the large group info smaller ones based on weight. We were offered complementary snacks and coffee and although we declined it was a nice touch. Be sure to note that anything that does not fit inside your pocket is not permitted onboard the balloon. It was extremely foggy (early August) so we unfortunately had to be transported to another take off site due to weather about 50 mins away. They do make it very clear that there are different take off locations and the Sonoma one may not be an option if weather is not permitting. When we arrived they were inflating the balloons which was pretty cool to watch. Take off was smoother than I anticipated. The views from the sky were remarkable and being in the air has a level of freedom not atinable by another aircraft. Landing was ok, and we were all instructed to brace ourselves by bending knees & leaning back in basket. The custom Sonoma Ballooning champagne toast was the cherry on top. Huge shout-out to our pilot Balloonist Mateo for having great energy and keeping us informed.
