The meat here is grill ready. I have bought marinated chicken kabobs here before. The chicken chunks were huge on one skewers. One skewer could feed two people. I have tried eating one skewer on my own, it's difficult. The meat portions here are often generous. Won't ever feel hungry after eating their grilled meats from here at all. read more

This was such a welcomed surprise. This is a busy place. I googled restaurants in Warren and this looked promising. Oh my goodness, awesome food, fresh, the chicken was the best I have ever eaten. The beef was great and such big chunks. The people were very friendly. We ordered at the counter and they brought our food out. I went next door to their butcher shop and purchased meat to take home. I come here every time I want to stock up on meat. I usually buy the whole slab of steak here then have them cut it to about a inch thick and I pick out the one that looks the best. It will add up but is so much cheaper doing it this way than buying them little packs of one or two steaks paying 3x as much at normal grocery stores. This meat market is attached to the middle Eastern Cafe as well. If you ask you can buy the stuff they sell on the other side of the store as well such as hummes etc. Definitely worth making the trip. Just make sure you have a deep freezer or space to keep it all!!! read more

Have always loved this little neighborhood market.. I won't be returning though. Went in this morning to get some fresh meat. There were 5 employees that I saw (including one of the owners) and 4 customers including myself. The only people wearing masks were myself and another man. I've learned that new owners took over the place and recently stopped in for some boneless chicken breasts and it was $3.99 per pound! Are you kidding? Randazzo's and Steiners are cheaper. And if you ring up during the week, they can have stuff ordered in for you (Big slab of belly pork) Great kebabs also. Classic meat market. I buy all of my non-exotic meats here (they process animals but do not sell wild game). Lots of various items for sale that you'll need for your rib roast, steak marinade, family BBQ, etc. Fresh vegetable selection is a little thin, but then you realize that you're in a meat market, not a vegetable market (you dummy). Staff is generally friendly, customer service is stout. Their chicken sausage is killer (especially when removed from the casing and cooked in a cast iron skillet on a chilly Sunday morning). They've never been unable to fulfill any of my carnivorous needs. I really couldn't think of anything to complain about other than their ticket dispenser for the "Take-a-Number" system has been broken for the two years I've been frequenting the establishment; although I've not once ever needed to use it. We've ordered carry out twice now. Very friendly staff! The food is delicious with generous portions. We ordered a quart of soup which was wrapped so carefully for the ride home. Always come here to get my steaks. They seem to always have a decent sale going on. They also have delicious kabobs, both steak and chicken. The chicken is marinaded very well so all you have to do is throw them on the grill. Also really like their macaroni salad. Normally have great service and food. Was not the case today. The younger cook had an attitude, made us wait over 45 minutes for our order. Which was just two entrees. 3 other people, who had ordered after us, got their orders before we did. This younger cook was rude and dismissive. I wanted some great cuts of beef for my fiancé's birthday dinner so after checking yelp and thrillest.com I chose to check out Boff's. My guy's favorite cut is the NY strip, so I got some of this cut. I saw a well marbled prime rib cut and had to get it to prepare for dinner. I grilled the NY strip for steak and eggs breakfast. The Beau loved the strip! To prep for dinner, I seasoned the prime rib with sea salt and pepper and left it in the fridge for a couple of hours. Once I was ready to cook the prime rib, I cut up cubes of butter and cut slits in the meat to place the fresh sprigs of rosemary. The meat selection is outstanding and the quality is very high. The staff are usually very courteous. However, on my last three visits, the cashier had trouble with my card in their silly little archaic POS "pad." This business really needs a proper Point-of -Sale system. It has taken several tries the past few times I have purchased here for my card to go thru. Both my credit and debit cards. Both cards are fairly new with plenty available credit/cash. The last time was so embarrassing I just left. It would be better if they said cash only. They don't even have a dedicated phone line for processing so that is a huge part of the problem. read more

I like this little Mom and Pop store. One of its assets is the friendly people working there. My hubster is a diabetic and had a hankering for some sugar free cookies. Being as they are poor sellers, they had none made. So...in the next scene, the gal who'd been waiting on us is going through the aisles looking for anything sugar free for my husband. The store is small so I am not surprised about the cookies but I was amazed at this young lady caring enough to look elsewhere. They have a nice reasonable deli and one of their subs feeds two! I used to shop here years ago and the meat was always fresh and cooked up very well. I have recently stopped in on two different occasions and was very disappointed. Just by looking in the case you can see the meat has been sitting awhile. The ground chuck was extremely fatty and the pork butt I brought home smelled so bad the next day I had to throw it out. Needless to say this is just not the market it used to be. Definitely not worth the prices they charge. read more
