Looking through these reviews, I think people don't realize this is only for the Sterling Heights Michigan location. I see reviews in here for California and Novi and Troy etc... We have order at least twice a month since we were referred to kebab hunt by a friend about six months ago. We originally had wonderful experiences until our last three orders. The first time they forgot the entire side of Rice, but shame on me for not checking your bag. The second time they quoted me 20 minutes on the phone and after we got to the restaurant and waited 35 minutes, she told me whoops, we lost your ticket. We wait 15 more minutes and even though I ordered kebab skewers, I was given weird thin grilled chicken breast with no vegetables. The other entrée was ice cold. We placed another order today, I even asked her to make sure it was correct because we've had two bad experiences back to back. Quoted 20 minutes, we get the food after 30 minutes and the entire sandwiches is wrong. So they remake the sandwich and give us french fries that are ice cold with the new sandwich. The lack of attention to detail for the cost of the items is just not worth it. Just disappointed overall... not sure what's happened there recently. read more

Used to LOVE this place, it's always been our go to but they've been slacking lately. Not sure if they got new owners in the past year or so but I never see that one dude at the counter anymore. The chicken shawarma on the combo plates are drier than they used to be, and we order our meats medium. Our food hasn't been ready on time the past three times we've ordered from there. The worst was today, they told us 35 minutes and my husband is literally there still waiting, an hour after I called in our order. Stopped by Kabob Hut and overall had a great experience giving it four stars. The garlic dip was fresh and delicious, but unfortunately, the bread wasn't fresh, which knocked it down a notch. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate, which came with a drink and a salad I opted for tabouli, and it was fantastic. Super fresh, flavorful, and the portion was generous for a side. The chicken was grilled perfectly juicy, well-seasoned, and not dried out. Pricing was very reasonable for the amount of food you get. One plate easily fed two of us. The ambiance is small and casual, but the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend Kabob Hut great value and bold flavors. read more

My co worker and I ordered from here for lunch and man this place was very good, super busy too which is always a good sign. I ordered chicken swarma and a side of hummus and both were delicious and had good portions. It's very small inside but has some seating but a lot of people order carryouts here. read more

I ordered carry-out from Kabob Hut last night; it had been a few years since I ate here last. Sadly, I was disappointed. My wife's Shish Kafta - Chicken was pink inside, not fully cooked. The hommus was dull, without the characteristic tahini and garlic taste. It also seemed old. My vegetarian ghallaba was 90% rice, 10% vegetables. The vegetables were quasi-julienned rather than in larger pieces and too many of them were pickles. There were some positives - the garlic sauce had the right bite and freshness and my wife's fattoush feta side salad was fresh and tasty - but they don't make up for the negatives. It pains me to write this review but I have to be honest. read more

Hi. I have been going here for well over 6 yrs. Never complained. Never had issues. Perhaps a new owner? I ordered my usual schwarma and a large lentil soup. The schwarma was great, per usual. The lentil soup was broth, no substance. I've had theirs and other lentil soup. I took the soup back to them. Everyone was very nice. Except a young, female employee. She continued to deny/debate/argue with me. Mind you, I've been in the restaurant business for 35 yrs. I'm kind and understanding. Bc of her - she seems to work often - I'm going elsewhere for middle eastern food. We have a ton of options in sterling heights, alone. Does this warrant only 2 stars? Well, I'd argue that it is. Brightly lighted on the outside, the door was left open to get some air in since the grill is smoking. Started with the starter combo (hummus, baba ghanouj and tabouli), medium fatoosh salad less pita, 3 chicken kafta skewers, a medium fatoosh salad with chicken. They have a Nicole's special with veggies and feta, nice. They don't have the bread oven here, so just the bagged pita, we can't have it right now anyways, no temptation for us. The woman waiting on us is nice, warm and friendly. The other staff members are friendly too. They have a lot of bamboos around the windows. The starter combo looks good. It tastes pretty good, the hummus, baba ghanouj and tabouli. One customer came in without a mask to pick up his order, not a word to him at all about not having on a mask. Hmm. The fatoosh looks good as well. It's fresh and good, dressing is good as well. Some salad butts in your mix though, not a big fan. The chicken kafta is quite dry, tastes decent, could also use a bit more flavoring for me, as it was a tad bland bite for bite. The kebabs were a nice size. The chicken with the fattoush salad was quite good, the meat was juicy and nicely flavored too. The service is good here. The salads, starter combo were all good. Ordered takeout for the first time here at around 10:30am and it was relatively busy with take out orders. They have a lunch special around that time which is a good deal. Comes with the main and rice/fries and soup/salad. Service was very good, the cashier was very nice and friendly although she was very busy packing orders and taking calls. read more

I have been getting their chicken fattoush salad for almost a year and a half straight every single Monday to start my week! They know me well there! They are 20 minutes from my house, but I use DoorDash--they are the best!! They are big enough for I can actually split it for two days. I ordered a combo plate the other day and it was actually very good! Food was 4/5 but they get a 3 because they did not enforce social distancing for customers and staff wasn't wearing gloves or masks. Everyone was piled on top of each other which is kind of worrisome but luckily I had my masks and gloves on and tucked away in a corner. The grilled chicken breast slices was our favorite meat in the tray along with the beef tikka! You get a side salad, side of hummus, rice, mixed meats, grilled veggies and bread with garlic sauce. I was shocked to see only one beef and one chicken Kabob and no creamchop or gus in the tray though. It is supposed to feed "2-3" people but you can easily feed double that but there wasn't much variety for a standard tray that size for the price. Don't go to Kabob Hut it's just a matter of time for them to get your order wrong and waste your time. They have gotten my order and my friends order wrong. A couple of pieces of Baklava isn't going to make up for wasting my time and frustration. I had to either leave work to go back and get my order or call in and complain when I got home because I'm not driving back to make up for their mistake. Seriously don't leave before checking your order. They've gotten my order wrong 4 times. I wouldn't make a scathing review if it happened one time accidents happen. The food isn't good enough to deal with this. They have done nothing to correct the situation. The food is good but forget about this with this kind of service. It's not worth it, I'm not going back. So, this is a quick one. I love Kabob hut. When I used to work right around the corner we used to eat here at least 3 times a week. Now that I work farther away, whenever I'm in the area I like to grab it. The food is still amazing. The flavors, the value, everything. It is fantastic. In the past 2 weeks, I've ordered carry out from them 3 times and picked it up as I went past. The last time I went in, I was surprised to see absolutely no one.... from the cooks, people in the back, people up taking the orders and checking people out wearing a mask. While I know this is still a huge problem going on... I would hope that they do what the current directive is and that is to put on their masks to continue to do business. The past 2 times everyone had been masked up... but this time... no one was. It honestly has me thinking twice from ordering from them again. Please help us all out and do the right thing! read more

Currently my favorite ghallaba! Service is super friendly, but a bit slow as they have to do carry outs as well as wait tables. Seems like they should have two servers plus someone just working carry out orders. The food is so delicious it is a small price to pay. As this is a bit of a drive I prefer to dine in. The portions are great and the chicken is so fresh and tender. The shawarma isn't typical variety, more of grilled chicken, but delicious. The ghallaba is AMAZING! Such great flavor! This place is wonderful, and let me tell you why. We have eaten at this restaurant several times over the last few years and I won't go anywhere else for Arabic food if I can help it. Have I had better Arabic food? Only at home, I'm Arabic, and I won't insult my mother, but we aren't Lebanese, so I can definitely say I haven't had better Lebanese food. Ever. The meat has never been dry, the rice is good (and plentiful), the hummus is smooth, and the grape leaves are great as well. But the two most important things to me are their CONSISTENCY and CUSTOMER SERVICE. Sometimes you go to a restaurant and when you come back the next week you wonder what happened? Did they get a new chef? That doesn't happen here. The food always tastes the same. In terms of customer service, Banni, who seems to be the manager is the best. Friendly, talkative, and welcoming, he is the reason people want to come back. Lastly, we had a baptism recently and needed food for 30 people. He sat with me, worked out pricing, and when it came to the day, everything was perfect! The price was appropriate, everything was separated and everyone loved it.
