Not a fan of the comments from the owner on my review. Had to update his comment to dig a little deeper each time. The owner has a poor attitude towards any criticism, comes across as rather arrogant and even goes so low as to belittle any negative yelpers. Insinuating that I am whining about having to wait nearly 30 minutes for lentil soup, tabouli, fattoush, OJ, lemonade and hummus. Making it sound as if he made the lentil just for my order as with the tabouli and the hummus too. I am stunned at the owners full on assault about my review of his place. Be careful what you say or the owner will go on the defense and attack. We ordered a fresh mint lemonade, OJ, 1 bowl of crushed lentil and a cup of crushed lentil, small spicy hummus, tabbouli, medium fattoush sans pita. Total is $39.33. No dine-in. Carry out or pickup window is available. Order would take about 15 minutes. They told us to wait in the car and come back inside when ready. No curbside but they offer a makeshift drive up window. They have two DTE car chargers in the back for those that are driving electrified. I was really craving fattoush salad and felt a deficit of greens today. 25 minutes later and we are still waiting for our order to be done. Out in 26 minutes. The lentil is bland, oily too, but slightly better with lemon juice. Small brown pieces in it, no idea what they are. The tabouli is tasteless and boring. It doesn't have enough lemon, even with the wedge on the side. The parsley doesn't taste or look so fresh either. We dumped it after a few bites to make sure our palates weren't skewed by the other dishes. Our buds were on point, it's bland for sure. Total waste of money. The spicy humus is also grainy and not smooth. The fresh mint lemonade is too minty and does not have enough lemonade in it. It's too earthy and wasn't refreshing to me. The OJ was fine. The fattoush salad was okay, dressing and salad were nothing special. Had a few brown romaine leaves in my salad. :( Dressing was a bit flat, more sumac might have helped, better lettuce too. Now I can stop wondering if this place is any good every time I drive by it. It is subpar and disappointing.

Great Lebanese restaurant close to home, added bonus they were open Xmas eve! If I don't have the energy/time to head to East Dearborn this is where I land. I'd give them a 5 if their prices were a bit less. If there was an option of a 4.5, I'd give them that! I've had a few different entrees here, my usual is the tawook Greek salad, but tonight I had the half boneless chicken/all white meat it was soooo good! (Very juicy and marinated well). I also had their excellent tabbouli (right amount of wetness/freshness) and their smooth hummus, which is tasty, but I've had better. Their spiced infused olive oil that is served with their bread is the bomb! There is an up charge for all white meat, tabouli and hummus. The same meal costs about $8 less at Cedarland in East Dearborn. I guess it's all relative tho as their prices are competitive with the area...

Delicious!! Can't say enough great things about this spot!!

Great and can't say enough about this place!! I ordered the keto bowl and the hummus, both were phenomenal!

I met a friend here for dinner (and realized then that I'd been many years ago for lunch). When I checked in on Yelp, I got a free appetizer. We chose the cheese aryais. I wasn't terribly impressed with it; it was bland cheese inside of a pita with tomato, and on a bed of vegetables. But everything else was wonderful. The warm pita with the yummy garlic sauce, and some other sauce (perhaps their dressing?) came as I waited for my friend. It is really not safe to leave me alone with garlic dip and bread. I got the combination shisk kafta. The salad that came with it was quite large and just really good, although a bit over dressed. There were also two large pieces of meat kafta and one large piece of chicken kafta, a huge amount of rice and some vegetables. It was all really good, and so much food that I got THREE meals out of it! When the waiter saw that we were done, he not only brought boxes, he also gave us container for the sauces. Definitely worth a trip; I'm not sure why there weren't more people there.

The best baba I have ever had! Bread was amazing, rice tabbouli were outstanding. Chicken was very tender just had some chunks of fat/skin but that's traditional :) 9/10 overall. Don't pass on this place!

Mezza and added order of Lebanese chicken and roasted potatoes.

We got take out from here. Good delivery and no mess. Nothing spilled. I found that the mezza platter was very filling. We ordered food for three people and still had leftovers. The only downfall was that we were expecting 3 pieces of falafel, kibbi and grape leaves each and got two. In the past have gotten three on the platter. I was told that the chicken was amazing with the sauce and flavouring. The roasted potatoes are a must have! All the food pictured minus the square trays to the right of the picture was about $92.

DONT ORDER FROM HERE. Dont make the same mistake I did! I ordered a Lamb curry through GrubHub and Yelp app. It is A COMPLETE RIP-OFF! Paid $23.49 for a container full of vegetables and table spoon full Of small chunks of dried lamb! Taste was regretable! I now dont believe a single review on that site! I called the restaurant to get my money back - total run around between grubhub (they cant do a thing) and manager is not at the restaurant. I wanted to stay in my hotel and get some good food - this is a complete rip off. See for Yourself from the pics!

2018-04-28. Lebanese Grill. Troy, MI. Storefront. Standalone building with a private parking lot.
    G I N.

2018-04-28 Lebanese Grill, Troy I've been to the location in Shelby Twp and remember having a monster sized tabbouleh salad that was absolutely delish! We were driving through Troy and were feeling hungry when I spotted the place. Giving into hunger pangs from the kids, I turned in. A stand alone building with a private parking lot, the place looked much older than the one in Shelby and could definitely use a facelift. Inside, the decor and layout reminded me of La Saj; booths along the perimeter and tables in the center. There is a separate banquet/private party room as well. The place is a decent size, probably appropriate for the amount of traffic they get. The main dining area seats about 70. The banquet room had a private party happening so I don't know that capacity. Dark wooden tables and pleather chairs complete the furniture. Before I begin, I'd like to note that the Middle East is a vast expanse. Flavours will vary depending on the regional recipe which is subject to availability of spices and ingredients. With Lebanese in the name of their restaurant, you'd expect traditional recipes by which all Middle Eastern dishes are compared, the benchmark so to speak. While seeds are not uncommon, Lebanese flavours typically include olive oil; lemon; garlic; fresh herbs like wild thyme, mint, and parsley; and local spices of sumac, zaatar, and baharat (a "middle east curry" combination of cumin, pepper, paprika, cloves, coriander seeds and cinnamon). After we were seated they brought us two kinds of pitas; the fresh meatier one, and the thin crispier one. The breads were the store bought type and not fresh baked in house. A huge disappointment for me. 1 star. The starch was served with spiced oil, but nothing stood out with this infusion (2 stars). Since we were hungry, we ordered the platter for two with a lentil soup and side salad. The platter for 2 comes with kabobs, Kaftas, and shawarma, both in chicken and beef, atop a bed of rice and dressed with pickled vegetables on the edges. Salad. Better than most places. 4 stars. Lentil Soup. IMO they could have cooked the lentils down some more. 2 stars. Kabobs. We received one each of Chicken and Beef. The flame grill is superior to any other place I've eaten. Superbly charred but not burnt. The chicken is tender and juicy. While there usually not much in terms of flavour, the flavour of the flame grill was good enough for me! it was excellent with the toum and/or tahini. 4 stars. The Beef was slightly on the tough side, but wasn't dried out. Again the flame grill was superior. 3,5 stars. Shawarma. This also came in both Chicken and Beef. Similar to the kabobs, the chicken was very tender. Spices were used here but the flavours were light. 3 stars. The beef was slightly drier, but I expected this due to the spices used. Like the chicken, the flavours were light. 2,5 stars. Kafta. Yup, you guessed it, the house combo for two comes with both a beef/lamp kafta and a chicken kafta. The kaftas were both on the smaller side than those of the kafta meals. The kaftas were not as nicely flame grilled as the kabobs, but the beef/lamb kafta was seasoned nicely, and were not dried out. 3,5 stars. The chicken kafta is often a disappointment for me no matter where I have it. Most places use some kind of veggie filler that just doesn't dance well with the ground chicken. With chicken being a much leaner meat, you would think spices are definitely in order to kick it up a notch, but that's usually wishful thinking. While spices were extremely light, they at least didn't laden it with peas or carrots. Better than most places, but still nothing to write home about. 2,5 stars. Toum. Simply whipped garlic with EVOO and lemon juice, this is something that needs to be made fresh as it will not hold it's consistency and flavour over time, even if kept in a refrigerator. The toum here was pretty good. Not spicy, and the garlic taste was present without being overly dominant. A sign of a good recipe... 4 stars. Tahini. A condiment made from toasted ground hulled sesame, it's the common condiment to go with grilled meats like kabobs and kaftas. Because it's sesame based, it often finishes with a dryness on the palette. While I'm typically not that big on tahini, I was impressed here. The texture was creamy and they added olives to the mix putting a nice spin on the otherwise typically dry flavour. With the olive (or brine), it did turn the dish a tad salty, but still the best I've had compared to other places. 5 stars from me. Overall, it was a good experience for me. Would I return? Sure would. The superior flamed grilled flavour and the tahini stand out and are definitely enough to keep me coming back for their kabobs! A solid 3,5 stars overall for the food, rounded down to 3 as their prices are a tad on the high side with most other places. If you would like to experience more, come dine-with-me.yelp.com I'd love to have your company... Bon Appétit!

At the bottom was the cultural sauce dish.

I got a coupon randomly and decided to give it a try to this resturant which is actually very close to my place but never has drawn my attention. I ordered their house special which were typical mideastern food such as beef shawarma and some kabab stuff. They came with a bowl of their chicken veggie soup and house salad and some fries. The soup was much flavored and lacked density. The salad was not as good as the usual salad you typically get from a normal mideastern resturant. Too much oil, not sour enough. The shawarma was ok. Again, not sour enough and not very juicy. The kabab was just too dry, but I think that's typical. The fries were below average level. The best thing the impressed me was the free mideastern bread that came before everything for free. They served a special sauce on a small dish. It looked spicy at first since I thought it was some hot oil and sesame. But it was actually not hot at all. It's a mixture of herbs and it tasted with a special scent. I guess that's the only thing that distinguishes this place among all the normal mideastern restaurants. After all this is a Lebanese grill so I expect at least one thing that's uniquely cultural. In general, a ok place. Great location, good decoration inside and environment. Average food. 4 star mainly because I didn't pay much for it thanks to the coupon.

I could live off garlic paste, I swear. That plus the bread is insanely delicious. (top: hummus and lamb appetizer)

Good middle eastern food. Decent pricing. I normally get a shawarma or shish kafta wrap and it's always good.
