When you enter Victory Inn order at the counter and they give you a number to put on your table. We were able to order and the food came out quickly. There is currently a lot of construction on Mound Rd so it can be hectic to get in or out of their private parking lot. One could easily see that Victory Inn is a popular lunch spot. I had a pulled pork sandwich, crispy fries and a side of Mac n cheese. The food was delicious. The wait staff made a special effort making us feel welcomed. They made sure my little one had crayons, coloring book and Halloween treats. It put a big smile on his face. So overall, Victory Inn is a good spot for some BBQ. The Cod was thick, fresh, and beautifully cooked (big container of Tartar Sauce).  Included were plenty of Steak Fries (big container of Ketchup.) The side was another container filled with Coleslaw (a little too creamy for my tastes. I personally prefer the Vinegar-based style.) To round out the meal, there was a large crusty roll, along with 2 things of butter.) Yep, prices are a little high (like all post-Covid menu items, everywhere.) The difference is that Victory Inn didn't down grade on taste, freshness, quantity, quality, and a fully composed meal.  The satisfaction level is high. read more

Came here to meet with some friends...Noise level was perfect - we could actually hear without screaming. The food my friends had looked good, but I had onion petals and they weren't good at all. The smokehouse would be open back up the day after we were there for dinner. The staff didn't mention the smokehouse being closed when I called about dining in hours. They were short staffed to run the smokehouse. We came to eat BBQ and had to order grilled food instead. :/ We didn't feel like finding another place this late in the evening so we stayed and orders grilled food. We had to order food that could be cooked on the grill. Two dinner salads, one with fresh blue cheese, the other with Italian, chicken nachos, Turkey Reuben with tator tots. We got a number for the rest of our food to be delivered to our table. You pay for your food at your table with the waitress. The dinner salad was okay, had too much shredded cheese for me, had to take most of it off; since shredded cheese isn't my favorite on a salad. The nachos are just so-so, nice and cheesy at least. . The chicken isn't my favorite on it, it was definitely seasoned. It had both shredded cheese and the nacho cheese on the nachos. The Turkey Reuben would be better with a better and more standard thousand island dressing. They make their own with Mayo, ketchup and relish. A local favorite of young and old alike. If you like BBQ, then it's hard to find a better local place than Victory Inn. I like the burnt ends here, and I usually get the brisket as well. The brisket is cut thick and has good flavor, not too dry either. As far as sides go, the Mac and cheese is the most popular but the beans are also good. They have a full bar, a smoking patio and plenty of seating for big groups. It's not too loud, but there are TVs if you want to see the game. Plenty of drink specials, but mostly a beer and BBQ type place. If you are in the area and like BBQ, be sure to check it out. read more

First time coming here was a Friday night. Very very busy. Walking in you order at the front and then find your seat after. Luckily their was a 2 person table free for us so we did not have to wait. The food smelt so good walking in and everything was clean. The lady knew we looked out of place and helped direct us on what to do. Food is still good. Their service and process of running food is awful. I don't know who came up with this "system" (it is almost laughable to call it that...) I like to try other things on the menu besides BBQ. One side of the kitchen preps and plate BBQ, the other side preps and plates everything else. Every time we come here, my husband gets his food right away. I end up waiting, and waiting and waiting. By the time my food comes, he is already done. They complete the BBQ portion of the ticket and run it. Meanwhile anyone else waiting for other stuff on the menu waits. WHY? Get the hot food done, and then complete the BBQ portion and run it all together! You've got runners running food for each individual meal. You are wasting time, it appears you have no idea what you are doing, and then people don't get to eat their meal with the others in their party. It is terrible. read more

Visited this establishment on 5/27 after a friend's vow ceremony, I ordered the spare rib slab with greens and baked beans. The ribs aren't seasoned, NO TASTE, the greens were chopped into tiny pieces which is weird for me being a brown woman. Surprisingly, the baked beans were the best item. Besides the bland food, the young lady slapped my card on the counter after I handed it to her. That's a major sign of disrespect and yet I still tipped 20% on the tab. Arrived with such high expectations...too high obviously, because the fall from a greater height hurts that much more... Arrived for a light lunch to share with my wife. While she grabbed a table on the patio, I ordered lunch at the food window. I waited... and waited... and waited while 3 people chatted together in the back not quite ignoring me, but I had the impression they were playing mental rock-paper-scissors and the loser would have to help me. I finally start my order for the Friday fish taco special and clam chowder. In the middle of my ordering, the cashier walks away to talk to a server bringing up rolled-up silverware before returning to see if what kind of fries did I want. Anything else? Yes, an extra plate and extra spoon and silverware because I'm sharing...no extra plate. No extra silverware, got the spoon as I was self serving my soup to my table. The soup was tasty. But pastey thick and over salted. The fish tacos were a mess, literally and physically. We could only eat half a taco each. The taco were almost as "pastey" as the soup (not a texture you expect from a taco). It will be a long time before we return. read more

Upon walking into the place, it reminds me of your local neighborhood bar, with sports on the tv, music playing in the background, and beer pictures on the walls. Gives you a nostalgic feel for the place. The special for Thursday is the meatloaf, so I decided to get the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and corn and a cup of their Zuppa Toscana soup. The meatloaf was a pretty thick slice, topped with a slice of bread and brown gravy. The meal reminded me of my grandma's sunday dinners, and it was pretty good too. Afterward, I felt like I needed a nap. I've had the bbq at the Victory Smokehouse which is in a shipping container next to the restaurant. It's only open on the weekends and it's really delicious too! Overall, a great spot to catch lunch/dinner. read more

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the Victory Inn serves some great BBQ from their smokehouse out back while during the week it is hamburgers, coneys and an delicious Belgian Corn Beef Sandwich. We started with the hearty homemade chicken noodle soup...as good as any I've had anywhere. We followed with the "Belgian" named for the Belgian-style cole slaw spread generously on the sliced of grilled rye piled high with lean corned beef. Awesome sandwich. I've never been disappointed eating at the Victory Inn. They have 'special dinners' which really are great food. I pick up my specials calendar at the beginning of the month and then decide when I'll be there. I didn't expect much from this place because of what the outside looks like and the location but we live close so thought we should try it out. We were floored by the food (french dip and burger with a bag of chips) both were very good and very reasonable. My husband got a beer and was surprised by the low cost. We expected they would be a little on the high side. Yes it is a little dark in here but it not that bad and it is a bar with no outside seating so what are you expecting? FYI- They do not have friers so no fries or anything like that but this place is great. Fresh and free popcorn in the corner in a big popcorn machine, great food and always friendly staff (as stated before 1 cook, 1 waitress, and 1 bar tender) so some times you have to wait for a refill but never very long. Once you order your meal at the window tell them if you are paying by credit card. In that case you order food and waitress will come get your card to start a tab when she gets your drink order. If you are paying cash you have to pay at the window for your food ONLY and the waitress will handle the drinks only. Once you know that everything else is smooth sailing. I have been here several times now and always good food and it is a great place to watch the game. read more

Today was our first trip to Victory Inn. It's a different set up, in that you place your order at the window, not with wait staff. The turkey and Hungarian sausage was great. The ribs and brisket were almost over done, especially the ribs. Unless you like lots of bark. Sides were excellent but I would have loved some collards or other veggie. Yummy! We stopped at The Victory Inn for lunch today. It was Friday, so Fish and Chips were on the menu and they were delicious. Our party also chose the Smokehouse Platter (smoked turkey, brisket, burnt ends with three sides) and the Cheeseburger and Fries. We ordered at the window, and our hot and tasty food was on our table within a matter of minutes. Even though there was a big lunch crowd, the service was fast, our waitress checked on us multiple times, and our group really enjoyed our lunch experience. I'd highly recommend "The Vic" for a tasty, home cooked meal. read more
