Working with Sarah is everything I wanted from training…read more I have a movement background, and really enjoy feeling good in my body. But after having a baby, it has taken me such a long time to get back to a place where I feel good in my body. Surprisingly, working with Sarah weekly for 3 weeks now, has already brought me back in touch with my body and my strength in ways that I have really missed. Sarah has a personal training background, and is getting her masters in physical and mental fitness (which I didn't even know about), and working with her is different then working with other trainers (as I have in the past). She is very clear on teaching me the skills and movements (weight lifting and strength training), and I am doing things that I have only seen in movies or on Youtube on Instagram. And it feels so good. The other really cool benefit of training with Sarah is that my mind feels clearer, I feel more resilience and its pretty fun. She teaches me how to breath, and I am totally loving it. Also my body is already getting toned really fast. I'm so loving working with her!

So I started seeing Sarah a few years ago - and I'm so glad I did. I don't think I have ever been this strong in my life! Sarah is extremely knowledgeable in her field. She keeps the exercises interesting and fun and she's endlessly coming up with new ways to keep you engaged (and sore). She's also a really good hang - important for when you are spending a lot of downtime between lifting heavy objects. Sarah is funny, smart, endlessly curious - just a lot of fun to spend an hour with every week.

So I came into this place with my friends, there was no one at the desk to greet us…read more As I walk approximately 25 ft on the left hand side there were cardio machines outdated machines I should state. In the middle there were outdated strength machines however in good condition and the hardcore strength machines that I'm accustomed to using. These machines out beat some of those play play machines as I call them found in other gyms that feed you pizza and bagels. As I move further into the gym I must admit it was very bright and colorful. The walls did not have much of an appeal to them without motivational images or statements so it lackluster in that department. Why not go to a gym that will motivate you while you're sitting on a machine with words blaring at you constantly instead of a plain yellow or green wall? When I moved further into the gym there was an aerobics area that had a stench to it. Yes all gyms have their own funk but this one smelled of mold and onions. It was roomy enough for maybe 25 people to work out. I didn't work out there I came mainly for the weight lifting. I was very disappointed to see paint on the floors and the equipment. There's a certain type an appeal a gym should have and it should not be paint on the gym floors ,equipment or in places its not supposed to be. THERE was also DIRT PILES on the floors in the corners which doesn't make for a healthy gym. I don't know about you but I don't want to be breathing dust balls as I work out. People are paying a healthy penny for this gym . they need to really upgrade equipment , equipment is left out on the floors all over the place. You can't blame the customers mainly for this because it is the responsibility of the staff to make sure people are not hurt or injured so why can't the staff members pick up these items and put them back to their place? There should be no excuse for this type of behavior due to not having adequate Staffing nor being unaware. Each reason given is not an excuse, hire enough staff members and make sure they are continuously checking to make sure there are no equipment scattered around the floor so that people can exercise and walk around safely. The staff members I met are stuckup and that's not a great attitude to have when you are a business owner, employee or trying to give the idea as you are all for one. Nonetheless judge 4 yourself. I've worked out at some of the 4 and 5 star fitness centers and this is just my opinion on this place. It works for some not for all. MUCH, much improvement is needed. Actually I'm really shocked that with the prices that they charge their members they do not upgrade the cardio equipment, clean up the messy paint and dirt, and hire more staff or pay them better to keep the equipment in their proper places. I'd rather work out in a safe and cleaner environment.

No more wasted gym memberships. Money is saved by not fulfilling the membership fees and "conveniently" having a fee removed from your checking account every month. One class available as a consult, basically to introduce you to the many circuit machines. Memory fades, training moves forgotten and there is a default to elliptical or treadmill. I wanted to have a longer training class, and if I chose to do that at the gym, member trained you, that is a separate class, and more money per hour than Connie. I am so happy to have one to one training session for 1 hour three times week. She knows when to encourage you to do a little bit more on the exercises,to help reaching your goal. She never leaves your side, she counts, and is likely to be more accurate than you. Adds exercises as improvement is seen. Will give diet tips, with a journal, if weight loss is part of your program.Rest periods as needed, but no slacking off. You get her attention for 60 mins, not 58, 59.. This is exactly what I needed, and the improvement is already being seen in 3 weeks. Connie is very nice, and very accommodating. She is the discipline I didn't have.

I'm over 50, but have a 14 year old, so I'm always running here & there. Ever since I had children (19 years ago), my back & hip have had that annoying feeling when I do activities, sit or lie. In the past year, they got worse & worse, to where I felt like a large medicine ball was sitting on my legs. I had pain when I was sleeping, so I tossed & turned all night. When I walked I looked like a 95 year old woman, and didn't enjoy walking any more. When I was sitting, or lying down, I took me 1-2 minutes to get up, knowing there was going to be pain. I ended up taking Advil every day. Since Sue, at Elm Tree has helped my children numerous times, who are track & field athletes, I finally decided to go to her for myself. I didn't think she could do for me what she did for my son & daughter. As I said before...Wizard!! She worked on me for an hour, using hands-on manipulation. She explained everything she was doing. She explained what was out of place and the pain it caused. She told me to move my leg 'this' way, while she pressed 'that' way. She explained that the pain started with the pubic bone (yes...the pubic bone). I thought it would be embarrassing & uncomfortable, but it was completely opposite. When Sue was done, she asked me to stand up. I was moving very slowly, waiting for the pain, but NOTHING! NO PAIN! I walked across the room, painless. Not only was the medicine ball feeling gone, but I felt 6 inches taller. The only problem is that I wanted to hug her, but couldn't, due to COVID 19. lol Thank you Sue & Elm Tree Wellness & PT!
