I love bodos so much that if I'm ever in or passing Charlottesville I try to stop by. Their everything bagel is a must and I love getting either a simple egg and cheese bagel for breakfast or either pastrami or roast beef for lunch. Perfect for breakfast/lunch and to go for road trips!

While passing through Charlottesville I wanted something unique to the area and found Bodo's Bagels one of the few NY style bagel shops. The prices were super affordable and the everything bagel was mouthwatering. Great location for an affordable grab and go or dine in meal.

I came here Saturday morning and there was a line. It goes by fast though. Pretty crowded but there was plenty of open seating. The jalapeño cream cheese was really good. Not spicy at all. They forgot my egg in my bagel but I'd still give it 5/5. It tasted fresh, hot, creamy. It was delicious!

The lines may be long but it goes pretty fast and is worth it. As an alumna I had to stop in to eat at the infamous Bodo's. I got a lunch sandwich and a breakfast (honey pecan cream cheese on plain) bagel for the next day. Both sandwiches were absolutely delicious. Love that the prices are still affordable and the staff was friendly as usual. Love Bodo's and I definitely recommend trying it if you haven't before.

Bodo's is a big deal for Charlottesville. This location is off campus a few miles. This was my first ever visit to the famous locals bagel shop. Their iconic location is on the UVA campus. Surface parking is nearby, but they can get slammed! The employees park in the drive-thru lane no longer in operation. The lot was clear of debris. The atmosphere inside was electric! My visit was on a UVA move-in Saturday. It was busy, but not packed at around 330 in the afternoon. It took little time to walk up and order. Menu boards make it easy, but if you're new I recommend looking at their online menu first. Service was super friendly by the young male staff. Some questions were asked on suggestions and customization. Payment is at the counter and they accept all major credit cards. There was no option to tip. Orders are called out and my pastrami on everything came out within 5 minutes. My wife got a chicken salad and daughter egg & bacon. I absolutely loved my pastrami on swiss. The everything bagel was not toasted and was soft with a nice chew. My daughter like the egg & cheese, but bacon lower quality. My wife thought the chicken salad was quality, but they forgot the lettuce. Ultimately they both liked their sandwiches. While enjoying our meal staff was wiping off tables and sweeping underneath tables. Trash is deposited by customers and it was within its boundaries. Also the restrooms were clean. A super operation all around. Great bagels and a strong value. They missed the mark a bit, but I will 100% return and if never been it's a must! 4.5 rounding down.

WOW. Great great spot - no frills, no trendy touches, just very good bagels and coffee. We got two breakfast sandwiches on everything bagels (the bagels were chewy and so flavorful, and the eggs were particularly good), plus cinnamon raisin bagel with plain cream cheese (melty and gooey and perfect), and coffees. We brought home a few bagels as well (they put a small tub of cream cheese in the bag, which I didn't even ask for but was thrilled about!). The staff are efficient and nice, and the spot just feels so classic - I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in Cville!

if you even drive through Charlottesville, STOP HERE. Cheap, fresh bagels made daily & even fresh cream cheese. Multiple options for any water with any diet. Delicious veggie burger & sides for your bagel sandwich

Bodo's.... Did you really just give me a "tofu sandwich" with a slab of uncooked, unmarinaded tofu!? As a vegetarian, I loved you, but this is my second attempt to eat here as a vegan and it's been disgusting each time. Please, marinade or season your tofu! Additionally, your avocados have no flavor and have a slimy texture as if they were frozen. Additionally, 70% of the world is lactose intolerant and you don't have a dairy free, vegan cream cheese alternative. I'm truly disappointed in my recent dining experiences here. This was a one star bumped up solely for the bagel and how fast the food came out.

Heard that when in Charlottesville, VA was told to give Bodo a try. Walked in and the place is organized and was greeted. Order taken and food came out quickly. Lots of indoor seating and the workers do their best to keep the area tidy. We ordered a few bagel sandwiches and lemonade. Reasonable prices and value for the buck! Fair is fair drop in and give Bodo's a try!

Do they have gluten free bagels?

We do not offer gluten-free bagels, Mindy; they're an entirely different type of baked good that requires a different production line, oven temperature etc. than our regular offerings. To further compound the issue, we're a "constantly baking to… Read more

Their soups are again, delicious and elevated above many restaurants in the area. Staff are friendly and courteous. As a former Seattleite, I consider myself to be a serious coffee critic, and lover. They know how to make a wicked latte! Some of the best in Charlottesville. My only critique is that I wish they still had inside seating, too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer. But that doesn't stop me from getting my food to go and making a mess of myself on the way home. LOL!

Ivy Provisions is located just outside UVA grounds make it very convenient for this HOO Dad to check out the first time. Of course I looked at their reviews, menu and photos of sandwiches to properly vet. I was astonished and made this a must stop. I caught them at a good time on a weekday before close and better yet knew they were featuring lobster rolls on the Ivy Provisions Instagram feed. Parking was easy in their own lot. The non commercialized building was a welcome site. This is the one and only Ivy Provisions. Grab a bag of chips, salad or treat with a bottle drink as you head to the counter of Ivy's cozy space. The young gentleman was friendly and efficient with answering a few questions. My wife ordered the Gobbfather which is a Turkey Melt on white. I ordered the lobster roll special. Seating is all outdoors on the patio. Food orders are prepared and sent out in a bag through the window, you will find utensils and napkins in this location. The area was clean. The restroom is gender neutral and was also clean with proper supplies. My wife enjoyed her turkey melt and found it so big she could not finish. My lobster roll I had no problem dusting off. It was a beautiful roll with fresh Maine lobster and soft roll. Total home run. Find me back at Ivy Provisions the next time in Charlottesville. A full 5 stars and job well done all around.

I was looking for a cold sub. Some of the sandwiches featured hot ingredients so i asked the man (the owner) "which of the sandwiches are cold?" he stared at me with a confused look on his face. So i repeated myself. "Are any of the sandwiches cold?" Again all i got was a confused glare. So, after several seconds of awkward silence, I rephrased again (thinking maybe it threw him off? maybe they are all cold subs?) "Are any of the subs hot?" i asked. Once again, nothing but a look of confusion from the owner of a sub shop being asked which of his sandwiches are cold or hot. I then asked "is that a weird question?" Finally, with a rude attitude, he managed to utter words and said he was confused because i asked him two different questions and that he "wasnt trying to be a "d!@k head but his brain just doesnt work that way". I only rephrased my question because he was awkwardly staring at me confused for several seconds before doing so. He then after all of that still did not provide any clarification to my question and left me standing there looking at the menu now confused and irritated. At least he admitted he was in fact acting like a "d!@k head" wether it was intentional or not. I turned around and left. Very entitled and rude attitude from the owner for seemingly no reason.
