Italian sandwiches were so on point. The service was fantastic and prompt. I really liked the outdoor seating area. Added a nice ambience to the area.

Beautiful little intimate spot. Great for date night. Honestly some of the best pizza we've had…read moresouth of the Mason/ Dixon lol! Shared the brussel sprout salad and fungi pizza. Solid cocktails as well.

SERVICE We came in on a rainy evening and were told the…read morewait might be about 45 minutes...and no space to wait indoors so we sat outside in the covered patio and they came by to let us order drinks as we waited. Thankfully, got the drink and were called in early about 15 minutes into the wait. That little surprise made things start off on a good note. Once inside, we sat at the bar since there weren't tables available and we were HUNGRY and cold! Even with the weather and a busy crowd, everything felt smooth and relaxed. AMBIANCE The place was small and cozy with a warm vibe that instantly made us forget the rain outside! The cool shallot-shaped lamps over the bar gave off soft light, making the whole space feel super calm and inviting. Sitting at the bar felt right choice for us for our first time -- close enough to the energy of the restaurant and people watching and seeing the pizzas get made but still comfortable! There's a soft buzz but cozy enough to chat and just feel at home. FOOD We ordered the Abruzzo pizza with beef and pork meatballs, fiore di latte, San Marzano tomato, basil, and pecorino. It was hearty and rich but still balanced. We also wanted to try the Prosciutto pizza, which was not the favorite but still good. The San Marzano tomato sauce for the Abruzzo was the star of the show. We were sad we didn't order another pizza with the tomato sauce to switch it up but oh well, another time right?! Loved the floppiness, the tomato sauce flavor, and the crust! Have to love the scissor-plate idea -- very clever and so easy. And size of these personal small-sized pizzas perfect for 2 people so we could have room for dessert and not have leftovers! We finished with the Zeppole "donuts" which were fried ricotta donuts tossed in cinnamon sugar with a hint of lemon (which I LOVED the lemon here and cinnamon sugar worked perfectly!). They were light, warm, crispy and just what you want at the end of a meal. The food was delicious, though definitely on the pricier side ($16-$18 each for the small pizzas, $9 for dessert. Still, everything felt thoughtful and worth it for the quality!

This review is kind of strange for me. It's been quite some time since I have been to Lampo pizza…read moreand is the very first time I've tried the location in IX park. The food is identical to the original and is quite convenient to order online. All that being said the pizza is not really your traditional pizza. It's kind of in a realm of its own and does not compare to anything else in the area. I consider it to be "fancy" pizza and comes with a hefty price tag. The pizza itself is quite good, the zeppole was very good, and the meatballs were exquisite. I would eat this again but not on any sort of a regular basis. It's just not my cup of tea.

Was really looking forward to some authentic Neapolitan pizza. We tried to go to the main…read morerestaurant, but there was a 50 to 60 minute wait at 5:45pm on a Friday. So we decided to order from Lampo 2 go. Staff was incredibly friendly and the pizza was ready a few minutes earlier than expected. We got the margarita DOC, the fungi and the pepperoni. Loved the buffalo mozzarella and sauce on the DOC, but the mozzarella was very sparse. I mean like four small coins. I wish I'd remembered to take a picture. Crust was also disappointing; chewy and not what I was expecting for an upscale pizza place. Especially for the prices. The fungi a bummer as well as it really had no flavor. The pepperoni was decent, but again the crust was disappointing. Would much prefer my homemade pizza off the grill with fresh mozzarella and basil. Also ordered the Brussels sprout salad - just ok for me. Wasn't getting a lot of flavor besides Brussels sprouts and pecorino. Usually I appreciate a to go order that is lightly dressed, but really wasn't tasting the vinaigrette at all. Some on the side would've been helpful probably.
