Both were outstanding and way better than I expected. To be honest, the pasta dish was one of the best I have ever had and this is one dish that I am critical of because I have had really good Jambalaya pasta and some bad ones. This one was way way up there. The sausage was excellent and the chicken and shrimp were perfect, but the sauce made the dish. I can not wait to have it again. The whole staff was friendly and our waitress was excellent and very helpful. My only regret was not asking for a window seat when we got there. We had a reservation and there was a table by the window that was open, but we got seated by the entrance. A couple that walked in after us with no reservation got the table by the window which was odd. Again, not a deal breaker and I should have asked to sit there. I definitely would not hesitate to eat here again or recommend it to everyone. I am looking forward to the next visit.

We also shared the meat/cheese platter (3 choices for $18): mole salami was really good, Myril lavender goat cheese was excellent and my favorite because of the forward but still subtle lavender flavor, with honey drizzle. And the finocchiona which was tasty because of the fennel flavoring. It was presented with cranberry compote (blah) and a sherry spicy mustard (super yum). And some crostini and crackers. I personally would serve more crackers/crostini with it, we ran out quickly. I had the cocktail Lady on the Flamingo (Jameson, amaretto, orange bitter and ?) and my mother had the Classy Rita. We both really liked the flavors of our cocktail! The restaurant was not busy on a Weekday night. Service was impeccable. And plenty of parking. I can't help but wonder how these would have tasted in a good wine glass. That is my major negative here. The stemware is small stemless glasses with a huge lip. To see how these wines actually taste they should upgrade their tasting glass. Possibly a Reidel Oregon Pinot glass.
