My car was brought here after I got in a car accident a few days back. I was worried about fees and all but I think my insurance covered it. I was also worried about my things getting stolen but after meeting the workers, I can tell they are very vigilant of those who come into the yard to retrieve their belongings. Darrel was especially helpful with my dad and I getting my stuff back. Front desk could be a bit more warm but everyone's going thru something. I was really grateful to have met the customer service I had upon entering this place. read more

Viktor from Bobs Tow satisfied my needs. My insurance is Triple A, and was not available to be dispatched to my location. Due to high volume of calls, I wasted two hours of Triple A service. I was stranded, car did not want to start. I called from Bobs Tow in Vallejo, and they were quick with the request. Viktor said 20min, and he came on time. He handled my vehicle with great care and knew what he was doing as a tow service employee. If you need your towing needs, I highly recommend Bobs Tow! read more

I also have to hop on the praise bandwagon for Viktor. A U-Haul issue caused us to need towing for a U-Haul trailer. U-Haul's roadside assistance was absolutely unhelpful. (We waited 8 hours and the issue still isn't resolved.) We called other tow services while we waited and they rejected our request. Viktor showed up ready to help, got the trailer on his flatbed truck quickly and easily, AND was kind and friendly through the entire exchange. He clearly empathized with our situation and wanted to get us back on the road as quickly as possible. This man is an artist with a flatbed tow truck. Our trailer was nearly too wide but he made it fit (photos below) and delicately and painstakingly loaded and unloaded it. The world needs more people like Viktor. read more

I was towing my boat to Tomales, and had a wheel bearing explode. I made it to a safe place and called AAA. They said they'd send a truck right out. 3 hours later they called and said I had no tow coverage for boat and trailer. Called private tow companies and got reasonable quotes but 2-4 hour turnaround. Called BoatUS and they said they could get me for $850. 2-4 turnaround, so I called USAA. USAA assured me that they'd get me a tow, but required a very reasonable payment up front. So, I paid. After many calls and texts over the next five hours I still had no tow truck. Finally I lost patience and called a private company, Bob's Tow Service in Vallejo, and was told 90 to 120 minutes, and I said yes. Then I got a text from the insurance company and they said they found Bob's and that they'd fetch me in 120 minutes +. Well Viktor, from Bob's showed up in under 90 minutes, and after another half hour with the insurance company, they paid him. Viktor was extremely careful and thoughtful as he assessed the boat and trailer. He made a plan and methodically got the boat and trailer safely on the truck, delivered it to my home and ended up being the HERO of the day. Viktor was absolutely professional, caring and rescued me after a 12 hour ordeal. Need towing? Need towing a very challenging vehicle or boat? Viktor is your man! Salute! read more

Viktor is our hero and live angel wearing human hat. I can't say enough how extremely thankful I am for him to save me and my cars tonight. Our insurance dispatcher missed mentioning one detail to him. He came and knowing that the detail was important to know ahead of time, but with a positive attitude and calm personality, he patiently helped us and saved us and found the solutions to tow the car to our next location. He should be receiving the Best Employee. I highly recommend Bob's tow service. read more

On October 25, 2021 Bobs Tow helped me out big time. We had the big storm in the Bay Area at the time and my 2018 Honda Civic Sport was stuck in a flood on Millbrae Ave and the entrance of US 101 South. I was stuck there for 5 hours and no one would help me not even the San Mateo County Sheriffs. Bob did what other tow companies didn't think of. Since my car was literally on the freeway entrance he passed up Millbrae Ave and backed up on the shoulder just to help me tow my car to nearby friends house. Other companies wouldn't even stop or was charging $650. Which was bullshit. Bob towed me for $100.. Im forever grateful to Bobs tow for taking me out of a bad situation and didn't take advantage of me. Thanks Bob. read more

All but 100% certain they running a theft ring and preying on people with few resources. Our low value (no reason to fully cover) car was stolen after being cased the week before. Conveniently our car was left JUST over the next county line ON the side of the freeway where it would quickly get picked up at a very identifiable interchange. They had our car in impound before we even had a chance to report stolen. Our choices are to pay them more to get the car from them than it is worth or get sent to collections and ruin our credit. Disgusting. Worst kind of capitalism. read more

I love this place when I need a car or want a good deal. People are always friendly and kind.

Their customer service is horrible. I called to have a car towed and the guy who answered gave me the run around for 15 minutes telling me the whole time he couldn't do anything about it and PD would not help me either. What's the point of having their sign up in our complex in our units to call when a tow is needed if they won't help. read more

This company towed my car because it ran out of gas. I come to pick up my car at their yard and the passenger wheel is completely out of alignment. Robert gives me the run around and refuses to take responsibility for the damage the company did to my car even after the mechanic inspected the damage and said it was 100% the tow companies fault. Its important for a tow company to hire people that actually would know how to tow a car. These guys towed my car when it was missing a passenger front wheel/tire. Because of the way they used the straps to secure my car, they bent my backing plate up against my brake rotor. They broke my ABS sensor at the wire connector behind my brake backing plate and pinched my high pressure power steering hose. Meaning that, my brakes grind, my ABS dash light is on and the ABS is not working and my car now has no power steering cause the pinch line is not allowing fluid to flow through the steering system, Think these guys will own up to any of this? I read there other reviews. I wont hold my breath. read more

Place is a total fraud. Like most towing places being scammers this place takes it to another level. Had my car towed by this company after I got in an accident. I was told a price upfront only to be told it was a different price once the guy arrived. After that the guys took 1 hour to tell me my car required another special truck due to it being flipped over. Like it takes an hour to see that.? I was then told by the tow truck driver that he would charge me 300 for his time and also to call another tow truck. So on top of the 300 I would have to pay 500 to have a guy come out and flip it over. Lastly I was told I would be charged another 150 due to it being a weekend. I mean I was being charged close to 1,000 for a simple Tow. Lastly what really pissed me of was that I was charged a cleaning fee for a guy to sweep up the broken glass. The guys took 2 hours to clean up glass that could have been cleaned in 10 min. Guy was charging me per hour for the clean up! Overall his is a scam they run 3 guys working to Rip People off with bs scams. Avoid them and don't pay they threaten to send your stuff to collections and never do. Avoid them at all costs! read more

The tow company damaged my car and does not take responsibility for what happen. My right rear tire had a severe hole, my rim was scratched up, needed a wheel alignment, and my bushings (rear, right) trailing arm needed replacing. I would not recommend them ever. My car broke down on the freeway in Benicia. Waited 2 hours for a truck to arrive. He arrives and says that my car is too low. (2 inch drop civic) I told him that I don't care if he damages the car, I just wanted to get the car home. He started making up excuses about how his bed height is too high and his parking brake is going bad. Then he says "another truck is on its way, we just dispatched it, I have an emergency down the road" and he drives off. 1 hour after that, no truck...called them and they aren't dispatching a truck. If I could no star I would this man should not be able to run a business. My car was stolen from my home earlier this week. Today it was recovered by the sheriff's department. The Sheriff's department mistakenly gave me the wrong tow yard as to where my car was located telling me Bob's tow had my car so I called Bob's tow to confirm 3 separate times that my vehicle was there, the pick up time and the fees owed. The man was rude from the moment I spoke with him explaining to me that they don't tow for free regardless of whether my car was stolen or not but confirmed with me that the car was there so I had my AAA tow service on the way to his location to pick up the vehicle as was I. Once I got there the gentleman could not locate my vehicle and was completely rude to me. He began to cuss at me seeing my frustration that he gave me the wrong information and started telling me to shut the fuckup as I was asking if I should have the tow cancelled and to stop fucking yapping even though he confirmed with me that my car was there when it was never towed to his location at all. He assumed my car was the car that was told there because another vehicle was towed from the sheriff's office and he was to lazy to make sure it was the same vehicle. It was not! He cussed me out and then threatened by husband. This man is a piece if work! This is how he treats someone who A) is a woman B) a victim of car theft C) someone whom you just confirmed with and gave a small window of time to pick up the car in which I compiled with. DO NOT buy from Bob's. And if your a woman, I suggest you go with someone for your own protection. read more

Can I give these place zero stars, very unprofessional and they basically hold your vehicle hostage. We did not choose them after a car accident to tow away a vehicle, they just showed up. There are enough upset people here to come together and convince the City of Vallejo and all other law enforcement agency to remove Bob's Tow from their vendor contract. The Better Business Bureau should also take action on this company. Friday the 13th back in October of 2017, my car burned down on I-780 near Glen Cove. Long story short, I went to their yard with pink slip on hand (save them the trouble of lien sale or just to get closure) to retrieve some of my stuff and was told I needed to settle my bill before I can proceed. The car was not impounded so the $ 574.00 that I had to pay was for the tow and 3 days of storage. I asked if there is anything they can offer up and was told "we can tack on another 2 bills more for disposal. After paying them the 574, and before being allowed to go in, they gave me this paper that states I cannot remove anything that is mounted on the car in any way, shape or form. If I had a $1.00 bill stapled to the seat, then I cannot retrieve it. This was at a time when Napa and Sonoma were burning. I just said to myself, "it could be worse since all I lost was an old beater". Imagine being a Napa or Sonoma fire victim and getting raped by this outfit after having everything burned down. I'd suggest to file for their business license be revoked but I'm sure they will just re-apply as some bogus entity. Karma is inevitable, for Bob, Dave and Warren. read more
