So after reading some of these reviews, I will be the first to admit I thought to myself, "Oh no! Another battle I'm going to have to fight in addition to the other BS." I could not be more wrong. Long story short, a family member of mine had their car repossessed bc they thought in their shallow mind, "oh, a few months wont hurt, I'll just catch up." WRONG. So thats where After Hours Auto Recovery got involved. I must say that both Madison and Taylor were very professional, informative and understanding of the situation my family member put herself in. In addition to telling us all we had to do to recover the vehicle, they provided phone numbers, etc to help us. After we paid the car off, etc, they were helpful in telling us what we needed to have (ID, cash, registration, etc) in order to pick up the car. No, the car wasn't damaged, property did not mysteriously disappear and the staff wasn't rude. Bottom line, PAY YOUR CAR NOTE and you wont have to deal with them from a repo aspect. This man towed our vehicle from in front of my home, held it hostage because he claimed he was afraid due to a verbal disagreement which is normal for someone getting their car towed from in front of their home. and upon retrieving it, it was retrieved with 4 horizontal linear scratches across the passenger side to the rear door. These marks show that they were intentionally made and since he performed this act before arriving to the tow yard, the report currently says that these makes where there previous to being towed. I am currently making a claim against the towing company and an insurance claim, and a police report for threats made. This man yelled racist remarks, he also yelled false statements and backing down when I mentioned that my home is secured and we have footage, threatened me with bear spray and said he knows where I live all while my kids we outside watching this act of unprofessionalism, and pure hatred. My husband's car was towed while he was recovering from COVID at home. I made the very huge mistake of leaving my wedding ring in there. A few of my husband's things like FasTrak and accessport were taken, too. My wedding ring hurts the most though... My husband then mistakenly signed paperwork acknowledging he received all of our items from this towing company because he was in a hurry to Tracy to pick up his car, even though he had paid the due amount the night before. I posted this business as their secondary Location that is unlisted except for on the web. Tucked back in the back of other industrial businesses. I recovered my stuff before it was all pilfered through like all the other web reviews stated. Probably the only reason I gave it a 3. I had an Appt at 2 which I set up through the Vallejo office which told me I had to make an Appt and pay $50 to recover my personally property. But I called my financial institution and they told me not pay anything. Shady Vallejo staff. Young Lady at This Oakland location was pleasant and didn't even ask me for payment. I did arrive at 10am to try and catch them by surprise before they could get through my car and it looked like a good plan. As the young lady helped me find my car in the lot, low and behold there were two lot employees with a clipboard and black trash bag getting ready to " document" my possessions in the car, as the trunk and doors were open. Don't think I would be able to give more than a star on the review if I stuck to my 2pm Appt. I also heard another person pissed off her car got pilfered and did not have nearly as positive result as I did. These people (especially the chubby receptionist) are low life bottom feeders. If you are coming here to pick up your car, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SIGN ANY OF THEIR PAPERWORK! I had all of my documents to pickup my vehicle, and the lady went from nice (well trashy raised in a barn nice) to super ghetto unprofessional when I told I would only sign official documents (with bank letterheads) for release of my car. She tried to bully me saying, IT'S A WHOLE PACKAGE (talking about their liability release forms aka states that nothing is wrong ie can't sue for damages) then she wiggled my keys in front of me (I brought my keys!!) and taunted me. So I called my bank and they confirmed once again that I can't be compelled to sign their stuff. So the bank called her and by the time I had walked back in, she had shoved all of paperwork on the floor in front on the counter. Also these repo agencies are required by law to keep a detailed inventory of belongings, and they listed 2 things - paper n boxes - even though I had like a 100 items in my car, some valuable. They threw the most random items in a big black trash bag and left 70% of stuff out strewn about my car - probably sorting stuff they planned to steal... If your car was towed to this place I'm sorry but get ready for the worst experience.... first off they steal your stuff from your car, make you sign paperwork for insurance purposes but they don't let you see your car first. We went to go pick up my boyfriends car for a 10am appintoment, arrived for them to just tell us that they wouldn't be able to pull the car out until 2pm because they have stuff blocking his car in and they can't get anyone over to move it out of the way for 4hrs?!?!?!? After making phone calls all damn day, JP Morgan Chase finally got their life together and my payment. Called the Vallejo location multiple times only to be sent to voicemail and when they finally did answer, I was told that the didn't have a voicemail. How that's possible, I couldn't tell you but it was the first tip off that this would be a shitty company to deal with. Once I was finally able to get through, after days of calling, I was able to speak to someone and they proceeded to tell me I would be charged for the multiple days that my belongings were there, regardless of the fact that I'd been calling for 2 days and they couldn't fit me in for an appointment until the next day. The day of the appointment I come in and pay to have them give me my belongings in 2 trash bags and I bring up to the receptionist that I would like to check the car to make sure that they got everything, because I've seen it happen that they miss things, only to be told that they wouldn't do that. Next thing I know, as I am inventorying my belongings I find multiple broken items, and multiple MISSING items equaling over $150 in damage and missing items. I called to speak to them (again sent to the voicemail they apparently don't have) and when I was able to speak to someone, they told me the only thing I can do is file a claim for them to investigate themselves and decide on if I deserve a pay out for my missing and broken items. hi i recently retrieved things from my car here that was said to not have any access to, when i arrived my car was dead, i unlocked the car with my keys and the seatbelt was tied multiple times around the steering wheel, and my things from my glove box and center console was ravaged through, i had family photos of mines that were in my glove box, scattered over my car and messed up as if they were stepped on etc, unfortuntely not everything in my car was there, i was missing my apple airpods and pieces of jewerly, i have filed a claim with there claims department and am hoping for a safe return and or rembursement , im hoping for the best outcome so i do not have to file this in small claims court but i will keep yelp updated with the status of this current situation read more

First I ask them can I check the car just to confirm they got everything out, and was told I couldn't because they can't let people back there. I had a BRAND NEW Raiders coffee cup in my trunk and I get all of my items back and the coffee cup is not in the bag with the rest of my items. I realized it after I got home and started going through all of my items. I called to tell them and they said "if it wasn't on the list we gave you, then it wasn't in the car".
