I grew up on Bob's in Ceres. My mom worked at the bank next door and almost every Friday was pizza night in our house. I have very fond memories of eating my own personal cheese pizza while watching TGIF (you know the lineup, Full House, Family Matters, Step By Step...). Mom transferred banks, I grew up, I have a family of my own, and I recently realized it's probably been 20+ years since I've had Bob's, and I practically work right down the street from them! I called my order in using a menu I found online as reference. I ordered a half Vegetarian half pep, sausage & mushroom with white sauce and picked it up about 20 minutes later. First off, the customer service here is great. I was greeted by someone sweeping in the lobby, and then greeted again half a second later by the worker at the register. When I was handed my pizza, it looked amazing. Seriously FRESH veggies and a TON of them (see my Round Table review for a story about a horrible veggie pizza). It was also made correctly. What more can I ask for? These guys do pizza and they do it well! I will absolutely be ordering Bob's more often. There is nothing bad I can say about my experience. Food: pretty good pizza. When cooked correctly the crust has a nice crunch and is a good thickness. There is an appropriate amount of sauce and cheese. Usually the toppings are a decent amount, but we have had a handful of times where the toppings were quite skimpy. Price: more than the big take and bake chain, but the quality of food is better. Customer service: not great. When you call to order they'll tell you 20-25 minutes. It's almost never ready in that amount of time. On multiple occasions we have called hours ahead to have it ready at a specific time, it has only been ready on time once. Basically don't plan on running in, grabbing your pizza, and heading out, it's not going to happen. The owner has an "I don't care" attitude when you complain. My husband and I have been searching for a good pizza joint in the Modesto area. We came across Bob's and decided to try it out after reading the reviews. We ordered 1 XL combo, 1 XL pepperoni and an order of their cheese bread. I must say it was all very delicious! Everyone enjoyed it and agreed it's much better than Papa Murphys. We ordered by phone and picked it up, the cashier seemed quite unhappy but other than that this place deserves 5 stars based on their food & very reasonable prices! In my opinion there is no such thing as a bad pizza. There is though, such thing as an excellent pizza, and that is exactly what you will find at Bob's Take-N-Bake Pizza. The pizzas here are full of excellent ingredients, is not overly greasy, and has the best pizza crust I have ever had. To add to all that, Bob's has the best pizza prices. If you eat at Bobs's you will no longer pay the ridiculously steep prices that other pizza places have. Not only do they have great pizza, they Also sell cookie dough that makes choloate chip cookies that will change your life! Amazing Pizza, geat customer service have been going in for years just knowing that I can order my my pizza and they're quick to get it ready right in time for dinner. And as soon as you walk in their customer service service is excellent I give 5- star rating. I love the fact that when you walk in they have a smile on their face and they always say hi how are you today I'll be right with you and ask if you have a pickup or if you're ready to order. We'll just left here angry as heck. I called and placed the order for two combinations. One of them I asked for light sauce, no bell peppers. Exactly the same verbiage I use for every order I've placed for the the last 11 years. I get to the store and the person at the front counter says that the one with the instructions is the one that was special made. This one had bell peppers on it. I looked at the other one and it had bell operes as well. I told her that I had asked for light sauce, no bell peppers. She very rudely told me that I said light bell peppers and that she wrote it down when I said it. She asked me what I wanted her to do. Take them off or remake it. I'm the kind of person to meet someone half way so I said just take them off. My wife won't eat it this way. The sauce can be too spicy.l but I was willing to give although at this point a lot of people would just tell them where they can shove it after the kind of responses she gave. Then she took the pizza back and told them that I told her light bell peppers. At this point I was getting miffed so I said that there is a difference between "miss-heard" and "I told her". She extremely rudely told me "I don't want to argue with you" Although she had been doing that since I pointed out the error. I didn't want anything extra. I didn't even ask for it to be remade. Apparently everyone, except for this person, can make mistakes. Perhaps it's the work environment or that it' is a small family operated establishment or that is just the way of things now. One more thing. While I was watching the guy fixing the pizza he asked me why I was looking at him. I was pretty upset by now so maybe I took it wrong but this seemed kinda unprofessional as well. Oh my yum! First time there tonight! Had te half pepperoni, half combo. One of the best pizzas I've ever had. Not just take n bake, at all. Delicious. Girls working there were nice, place is clean and fast. They offer whole wheat crust and sourdough which we got an it was sooooo good! They do not skimp on the toppings either, this thing was loaded. Bob's is AWESOME! This is our go to meal when we don't feel like cooking or need to satisfy our Bob's craving! Hands down my favorite pizza in town. We often pick up a few pizzas for visiting friends and family to enjoy and all have been surprised that it is a take-n-bake. Pizzas are fresh, loaded with toppings, best tasting sourdough crust, and all for a bargain price! The veggie supreme and chicken club are our favorites, aside from the loaded bake potato pizza that was recently discontinued. (Oh please Mr. Bob, bring back the loaded baked potato!!!) First time at Bob's last night. We got 1/2 all meat and 1/2 gourmet veggie. I've never seen so many toppings on a pizza! It was like a salad on a pizza crust!!! Cooked it up, and devoured it! Best pizza in town! I come here any time I've got friends from out if town. Prices a great too! I had one experience where, as we were taking the pizza out of the oven, the cardboard bent and the pizza fell off and into the oven. Toppings and dough was fresh. We ordered their special, XL (16in.) for $14.99. I feel like it's comparable to Papa Murphys, and papa Murphy's is a little cheaper and more convenient for us. They were very busy with tons of phone orders though, so obviously others love them. read more

Very disappointed they got my first order wrong so I went back and they did not put it on thin crust like I specified multiple times. Also I asked for sourdough crust, nope did not get it!!!!
