The worst customer service I have ever experienced. After multiple emails, I have been unable to resolve the issue. It seems that computers, not people, are generating canned responses. Each canned response we've gotten essentially says, "sucks to be you, you're not getting your money back"., and didn't directly address our questions or concerns. I have never shopped at Bob's Stores before and I will definitely not shop there again. As another reviewer stated, don't let the low prices fool you. This is not Marshall's or TJ Maxx. There are no deals to be had. We ended up paying more for sandals here than we would have if we had ordered them from EMS where we first saw them. Lesson learned. read more

How complicated can it be to get a package shipped? Happily paid for overnight shipment and after a week later, the package was still never shipped. An absolutely terrible store. They scam you into getting their fake warranty and then refuse to act upon completely valid claims. When we moved, our couch stopped working, so we had to submit three claims, were promised numerous times an email back, and were completely ignored. Different excuses every time. They implied that once assembled, you can't move their furniture. Just terrible customer service regarding a couch that is so fragile it apparently cannot be safely transported to another apartment, even when perfectly following the given assembly instruction. They put you off, and lie, and hope you'll forget it. Their attitudes illustrate that they could care less about customer service, and it's obvious that that's how they "train" their associates. Buying from these clowns is equivalent to taking a sofa and setting it on fire. Disgusting from top to bottom, and I emphasize "bottom." Please go out of business and do the world a favor. read more

If Dick's Sporting Goods and Marshalls had a baby, it'd be Bob's Stores. This place has been around for at least 20 years, surprisingly. Locations: -remaining Bob's Stores seem to be scattered to the four winds. This one in Randolph (and one in Taunton) are closest to the South Shore-- definitely a drive. Merchandise: -clothing and shoes for men, women and children -tends to be athletic-related brands like Nike, Adidas, Marmot, Columbia, Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS). Small amount of non-athletic brands like Calvin Klein, Levis, Carhartt, etc. -some sporting good items like skateboards, pads/helmets, yoga/pilates gear, soccer balls, kickballs, and even a random kayak. Definitely not the selection/variety of larger box stores, when it comes to sporting goods, but a fair cross-section. Service/Checkout: -despite visiting the weekend after Thanksgiving (when stores are usually mobbed), Bob's was pleasantly busy. There was very little wait time for checkout, and they had 3 registers open. -both cashiers we interacted with were pleasant and helpful, inputting the 30% off coupon listed on their website (but strangely, missing a barcode to scan). Price: -with all the sales going on this past weekend, Bob's was definitely competitive with other big-box stores. Most everything had a 25% off sale on it, some even higher (my jacket was listed as 50% off). Problem is, with all the signs, it's difficult for the consumer to determine what the final price will ACTUALLY be. -coupons available online and in flyers. Be sure to check online, as they do allow you to double up on coupons and sales. Example: my $100 EMS jacket was on sale for 50% off, then there was a coupon for 30% off any one clothing item. Note, the 30% off comes off of the discounted price (i.e., 30% off of $50). So, I was able to get an awesome EMS jacket originally priced at $100 for $34. Winning. If I'm on the hunt for athletic wear that doesn't scream soccer mom, I'd definitely choose Bob's Stores. They have tons of clothing I'd wear from brands I know and trust, and are at the very least competitive with other big-box stores. Worth the trip, in my opinion. read more

Having never been to a Bob's Store before, I decided to venture over here after my friend told me he got a great deal on a jacket. I also never realized it is just a few minutes down the road from the Target in Stoughton that I go to way too often. There's definitely a weird mix of stuff here. I would really not recommend this store unless you are looking for one or more of the following items - Men's clothing - Junior's clothing - Women's athletic clothing - Shoes (both men's and women's) Don't go here looking for a nice outfit for work or a dress for a social occasion. That said, they have some great deals in the shoe department. I've gotten several pairs of brand name sneakers for around $30 or $40 including some brands like Addidas. They also have a fun junior section with lots of tank tops, short skirts and bikinis. I got some bikini bottoms here for a mere $1 some time around Christmas. They have a nice selection of shoes including boots, casual, some more professional shoes. They also have a big selection of Red Sox and Pats gear but it seems a little overpriced to me. But they they were very deceiving by charging me another $7.99 for shipping again because it was transferred to the USPS. I refused the package and send it back to them so they can eat their mistake. Several days later, I received an email stating that the order had been cancelled. Reason.....someone else ordered the same product at exactly the same time! Yeah, right! When the woman at the register rang up the sale she only gave us a discount on one item we asked why? She said you needed a separate coupon for each item. We asked for the manager and she said the same and would not budge. We asked the question, "if we went home and made photo copies of the coupon for each item would you accept it?" She said yes. First time ordering from Bob's. I was looking for a particular pair of shoes and Google directed me to Bob's website. Paid full price for the shoes. Arrived when it said it would, however they sent someone else's order. I waited on the phone for more than 20 minutes to talk to costumer service. They said they would send a rush order (next day delivery) for my shoes. A week later, and still no shoes. Although, they were very quick to get me an email with shipping arrangements for the items they screwed up in shipping originally. Stay away from ordering online from Bobby's. 1/10/17 update: I finally got a hold of customer service again. It turns out that they never had my shoe size, but they charged me anyway, and I was never given notification. They finally did reimburse me. I waited for a refund for my returned online order for two weeks before I contacted customer service. I emailed them my tracking number upon request. I was told I was going to be issued my refund if I did so. Two days ago I was contacted back by customer service saying I now need to wait an additional 20 days to receive my refund. I am highly unsatisfied. Needless to say, I will not buy from Bobs Stores again or recommend anyone else to buy from them either. It is taking way too long to issue my refund especially since I had to pay return shipping. Visited Bob's today knowing that I would be in that area and had a return and a coupon. I also have a friend's birthday this week so I thought I would take a look around and possibly find a gift- I always find a few things even if I'm not looking to shop. Today was not the usual "good" experience because of multiple sales people. First while I was looking through a sale rack 2 sales associates where standing close by chatting. Well- not exactly chatting. They were definitely complaining about work issues and specific co-workers- not making out the store to be a positive place at all. I had a hard time ignoring their banter (after all I am female!) and focusing on my retail therapy. I was there to find a few deals and enjoy an hour or so of my day off- not listen to their work problems. I guess you can say it wasn't encouraging me to spend my money. I did however find a few things and headed to the checkout. Went to the customer service counter whereas I had a return. When it was my turn I put my return on the counter with the receipt on top and my new items with the coupon on top. The associate put in the return without any conversation and rang up my new items. After everything was rung in she picked up the coupon, said "this is expired", crumpled it up and throw it in the trash! My thought was- could there have been a nicer way to have approached that but I kept my mouth shut. I was sure that she was working at the "customer service center" and that meant she was supposed to deal with customers and provide service. I don't expect you to do a cheer leading routine or anything but geese! When I left I was content with the items I purchased but disappointed with the store as a whole. read more

I was super excited for my order to arrive since the only time I get to order new work shoes is around Christmas time. Let me tell you, I felt like I scored! I have got the same pair of work shoes for 5 years in a row now. I'm very price savvy so I was excited when I found that bob stores had them for $45.00 other shoe outlets and stores sell them for about $75.00. Not only did I brag to everyone that I work with, we were going to purchase more shoes for my husband until they arrived yesterday. The shoes were shipped in a bag, not complaining about the bag. the bag was very nice and intact, however the shoes and the shoe box were completely smashed. If they were shipped in a box I have a very strong feeling they would be okay. Unfortunately for me in this case, I have to live with poorly shipped shoes by bobstores. I called the 1-800 number and got ahold of someone that said they couldn't do anything for me since the shoes "seemed" okay. The lady I spoke to was very apologetic, but kept blaming UPS for poorly shipped items (yes to a point but bobstores put the shoes in a shipping bag). The shoe box looks like something heavy was sitting on top of it for far to long, and there is a crease in one of the shoes that you can tell something heavy was on top of it. I know these shoes that I purchase yearly will last me roughly a year, but in the manner that they were shipped causes concern of their integrity and how long they will actually last me. Since I live paycheck to paycheck I cant afford to go out and buy the pair that I originally saw and ship these back to you as much as I would love to. Not only did I brag about these shoes to everyone I work with, I also had them shipped to my business, which also means they got to see the poor manner they were shipped. You not only lost my business, but tons of more that could have came from this. I wish your customer care was more caring for people that have this kind of issue. I will supply pictures for proof. Forget buying anything at or around Fenway Park or Patriot's Place, Bob's is the place for you when it comes to fan gear! During the holidays this place gets a bit crowded and the lines can be long at times but it is worth the deal. Their men's clothing is a bit pricy so be selective and go for the sale racks. Interesting store. I go to Bob's rarely, and have only visited the Franklin location before, which was just ok. This location is larger, and has considerably more products (especially shoes). They had a great selection of shoes here, all of which weren't high priced and comparable to the Factory store I went to prior to visiting this store. They had some great clearance racks throughout the store and they additionally had lots of great clothing. Definitely great quality products, and prices aren't sky high (like other sporting goods stores). Will be doing more and more of my shopping here.... wish they'd open a new store closer! Also, employee in the shoe department (didn't get name, she was short, with long curly hair) was very helpful with finding many items on my "checklist" and answering a few questions about products they carried here. Conveniently located on Route 139 in Randolph, seconds off the Route 24 exit (Exit 19A, by the way). Large, clear parking lot and HUGE, clean, well kept store. Will be returning. 4 stars. read more

Their return policy is for the birds. If a brick and mortar store wants to stay around I suggest they cater to the customer a little bit. My son returned a pair of shoes for me and unfortunately didn't have my credit card so they gave him store credit. I didn't want the store credit so went to the store with all my receipts to get the credit put back on my credit card. The store manager was like a robot reading out of a manual. Called each day and was told they are now in "pic-pack" or something. By 4 days later still had not shipped. Called again and am told they are "stuck' in warehouse. Rep indicates she will follow-up. She does. I get email from another rep who provides tracking info. Now things are OK? Nope! I get an email at 10:30 that evening that only 1 pair of socks is available not 3 and they had shipped the one pair. So now I am paying a $7.99 shipping charge for one pair of socks worth $18, not 3 pairs. Overall, they lied about the shipping, then sold me something that was not in-stock. A terrible experience. Confirmed my order then canceled it 36 hours later for bogus reason I order a jacket on sale on their website and was having it shipped to my house. They confirmed my order at the sale price, confirmed the jacket was in stock, and sent me a confirmation email for the order. 36 hours later I get an email that they have canceled my order, because "the item is out of stock". I immediately went to their website to check availability and the website claimed it was still in stock, but they had decided to charge more for it. A pretty sleazy way to do business if you ask me. I went to the website to buy shoes for my mom. The ad was saying "Crocs WOMEN", so we come to the conclusion that we have to choose a WOMEN size. But that's not the case! The ad title refers to "women", but the size is a "men" size. I call them a few weeks ago and was told that unfortunately, "Crocs size chart is very confusing", despite the problem is with the ad, not Crocs. So I called them again and, to my surprise, they had added a new information on the ad, saying that we must add 2 sizes to get the correct women size. Also, I was told to go to USPS, pay for the shipping and them buy it again, on the website, paying again for the shipping. Totally absurd! read more

Horrible customer service. On 9/7/20 I went in for boots and seen some pajama pants on the clearance rack. An associate told me they were on clearance because all of them were on the rack even though there were no stickers on any of them. Went to the cashier with my items. The boots were way more in store than online. I asked the cashier of they price match to the site. She rudely said no & if I want the online price then order them & pay the shipping that comes along with online pricing. Then I asked her about the pants as they were on the clearance rack and the other associate said they were clearance. She said they are regular price and refused to call the associate to the front that told me they were on clearance and seen them on the rack. I asked for a manager and she refused to call one. Terrible first experience. Don't order online. Website claims orders processed same day if by noon. I placed order on a Friday. No shipping or status updates via email as I expected. Called the "customer service" line and was told there are a lot of orders to process and it was taking a while to ship. Huh? So you don't have resources to process the orders you're still accepting online? Okaaay. So following Friday (an entire week--yes) I FINALLY receive email communication that my order was cancelled because they couldn't fulfill the order. Huh? I ordered some wheat timberlands they were $189.99 and they are fake. They were in a fake Timberland box for a shoe size smaller and they do not have the authentic tag on them and the stitching is not straight and the rubber seam that goes around the bottom is shiny with strings of glue, just to name a few discrepencies. It's a shame I have to pay return shipping for shoes I did not order. I will be posting reviews all over the internet because no one needs to go through this.
