My friend and I are so glad we found you! Your inventory of clothing and toys, for children, is top notch. There's even a little spot, where children can play. We only wish there was more of a clothing selection for adults! We found the staff (owners) to be helpful and cordial, answering any questions we had about stock and availability. Carolann's has quality clothing that you cannot find in other local stores. They carry brand names, such as Johnny O and Southern Tide, two of my husband's favorites. They also carry bracelets and other jewelry made by local artist. If you are looking for a gift, look in Carolann's! Great people too!! read more

I have been a customer at Carolann's for decades, but was very disappointed in my visit today. First, the prices have really increased. I found one simple baby's tshirt that was $25. Dresses and outfits were in the $40-$50 range -- for infants. However, the inventory is still super cute and since we were looking for an off-season outfit we got a nice one at a reasonable price. When my husband brought it to the counter, he asked if it could be gift wrapped. This was something Carolann's always did; nothing fancy but some nice tissue and ribbons (they used to have cute boxes but those left years ago). They told my husband there was a $2 charge. When he declined, they removed the hanger and stuffed the outfit in a brown bag -- no tissue or anything. I mean even Marshall's will give you tissue. Very disappointed; will have to find a new store for my baby gifts going forward. read more

Despite the fact that I hate stores that include the word "shoppe" for shop in their name, this is a gem of a store in dowtnown Hingham. They have absolutely adorable baby and children's clothes and other items that are irresistible. Whenever I'm shopping for a baby or children's clothing gift, this is one of my fiirst go-to places. You'll find things that are unique and differ from the typical Baby Gap fare. And by now, those of you who know me, know that I will favor a local business with good products and great service over a chain. This is one of those places. read more

Great selection of clothing for kids. Bought my daughter's Easter dress here as well as shoes, and an Easter bonnet and a Christening bonnet. I've also bought gifts for friend's kids here. Everything is wonderful. They sell Vineyard Vines, Patagonia, Lilly Pulitzer and other brands here, so the variety is excellent. The women who work in here are very nice and very helpful. Sometimes too helpful, but that's just the kind of service you get here. read more

Rude. Pretentious. Overpriced. Did I mention rude? Didn't supply boxes or bags for gifts never mind asking what things were for. $150 for two outfits. AND, They are RUDE!!! I won't step foot in here ever again and will let others know not to go in there. ATTITUDE PROBLEM EMPLOYEES. HOLIER THAN THOU. No thank you. Being followed around like you're a shop lifter doesn't help. You can't even walk around the store without an escort. Who treats customers like this?! It's 2014 people, act accordingly. I went in here today because of the great reviews here. The store IS really great, with brands and products that really appeal to me. I had to kick two stars off for the lady that followed me and walked on my heels the whole time throughout the whole store. I walked to the side, she followed me. I walked to the back, she followed me, I walked to the middle, she followed me, I walked to the back again, she followed me, I walked to the front- you guessed it, she followed me. I don't know if she was handicapped and she was just trying to be helpful, but its a HUGE turnoff to feel like a 14 year old who's going to steal something whenever you're pregnant and just want to have a peaceful moment to shop and reflect for your future arrival. read more

Really disappointed in this store. I bought my daughters communion dress there. When I took it home her dad and auntie did not like how it fitted her or how shinny it was. I called them the very next morning and they refused to let me try exchange it for a different one that would suit her better. In less then 24hours they refused. I shopped in this store a bunch of times and am heart broken that I have spent so much money there and received absolutely no mercy. I strongly advise people not to shop there for communion dresses!! After spending a considerable amount of money! My little girls heart is broken and I feel so disappointed and helpless. I had read bad reviews on this store before but had always liked there stuff and have spent my money there but my god they are cold!!!!! read more
