The cashier who's shorter is always so rude and aggressive even though I've never had a conversation with him. Never had a good interaction with him, he always seems inconvenienced by having to help a regular customer. Every other cashier is nice tho, and when I see anyone else I am beyond happy to head in. Scheduled and rented a U Haul van which I drove to Fallbrook and back--only. I left the station at 8:30AM and returned at 1:50PM a tad Over 5 hours. I was charged for 2 days and in addition to that they calculated the mileage wrong. Said I drove 64 miles. It is at most 21 miles round trip to the town of Fallbrook. I know because I've made the drive to my parents house for the past 40 years. I was charged $104.62 for renting the van--not truck. And BTW I have rented vans I the area for much less, between &40-64 for the same amount of time. This was my first and last time with them. As a resident of Carlsbad for the past 30 years, I can not recommend Bob's gas for renting U Haul--anything. read more

I've come here multiple times. Every time I come in the short guy at the front is sitting behind the counter on his phone, he's super rude, aggressive, and won't even look up to acknowledge you. He in fact seems annoyed by customer presence. Tonight I bought a few things same story, he's seated with his phone on full blast watching something and couldn't be bothered to say hello or even get up from his seat when I went to checkout. My chip didn't work at first and that seemed to really upset him because heaven forbid he'd have to get up from his chair or look away from his phone. I didn't dare even ask for a bag for my things because I did not want to disturb him. 7/11 is across the street. I'll go there from now on. I've seen other reviews, it's clear this company does not care. Go elsewhere plenty of other gas stations with better pricing, and you won't be abused by the short dude for simply giving his employer business. read more

We just rented a Uhaul from Boban, the owner. While both Boban and his wife seem really sweet, I don't think they're cut out for this business. It took 40 minutes and repeated reloads of our itinerary before we were able to book our reservation, and this is due to Boban's inability to properly follow the directions on Uhaul's reservation program. Both my boyfriend and I had to help guide him as we went through the same steps four or five times. Once we finally were successful, Boban forgot to give us the key for the padlock on the back of the truck. Unless you have the patience of a saint, don't come here for rental. read more

We dropped off a uhaul here. The couple who runs the station were very friendly, professional and polite. It was a painless process dropping off the truck. I am auto illiterate, so when my engine light came on, I almost started to cry. I was sure it would cost an arm or a leg just to find out what was wrong with my car! I pulled into Bob's Gas and Martin the mechanic, who is very nice, diagnosed my car. He screwed my gas cap on tight and made sure the engine light was off and I was on my way. Although it was something simple, it could've been very traumatic for me. I am very grateful to Martin, and will take my car to Bob's Gas station should I ever have a problem. Well I was a frequent customer of this place until today. This gas station is literally in my backyard (well across the street from my backyard) so it makes sense that I fill up here several times a week. The owner even helped me one morning when my truck's battery died at the gas pump. Well today on Christmas Eve, we stopped for gas and bought snacks for the kids for our drive. Upon leaving I noticed some new guy that works there was staring me down and shaking his head. It was at this time I realized I left the gas cap off as well. So I got out to put the cap back on and the guy was standing right there so I asked him "hey, why are you'd jacking yourself head at me?" He responded but telling me i littered the bag that he gave my wife when she bought the snacks. I told him he was mistaken that my bag was still in the car. I even pulled the bag out of the car to show him. All of the sudden he says well I gave her two bags... He argued with me and told me to get in my car and get lost. He clearly doesn't know me so I fired back with some insults and walked towards him. low and behold, like any other coward, he realized he didn't want any of what I had to dish out. But he still continued to talk a bunch of crap as we're driving away. Probably a good thing I had 3 kids with me so I didn't loose my cool too much. Point is this story is that this mans misconception and mistake just cost them a customer that spends over $200 a week there. I'll be walking back in there this week to give some feedback to the owner. They can take it or leave it but this is some poor business. You don't treat customers like this, gas station or not. I'm in retail/sales. I couldn't imagine saying or acting like this to a customer. Even if they were wrong or did something messed up. I usually don't let people get to me like this a-hole did. Do yourself a favor- give your hard earned money to a different place for you gas and snacks. They don't deserve your business. Absolutely pathetic. The best part is they want to expand their store but the city asks the local residents for feedback before approving. Guess what neighbors are going to tell the city he'll no?! read more
