They have served me for the past 25 years and they are providing an excellent service in a timely fashion my hat off to the owner Chris I am very blessed I deal with him and he has to perform exceptionally. He's a man of integrity, intensity, and intelligence and because of it, he treats his customers his workers and people are around him. Well I have had nothing but good experience working with him. The service is great. The prices are competitive and they have empathy for their customers. I have read some of the reviews and some people have had issue with the front desk. My experience has been that there can be some improvement made at the front desk and I believe they have worked on it Chris my hats off to you. read more

Chris from Fallbrook Propane was a life saver! I woke up last Friday morning only to discover a very profound gas smell coming from my pool heat pump. I called Fallbrook Propane and Chris immediately sent out Fletcher to assess the situation. He showed up in a timely fashion, tested my unit and explained that he needed to temporarily shut off the propane to the unit and tag it as unsafe. Fletcher then suggested that I call my pool company to replace an ill fitted valve that was causing the concern. I did just that and the problem was resolved. But the excellent service didn't stop on the first visit. Just to make sure that the unit was safe to resume proper function, Fletcher returned and retested the pool heat pump. Fortunately, the pump passed the final safety test and I could feel comfortable knowing that the unit was safely repaired and fully functional. I am giving Fallbrook Propane five stars for the impeccable, professional service that I received and for their immediate response in taking my propane concern seriously. read more

I have been with this company for over 24 years. The first few years of my service with them, I periodically checked the market rates to make sure they are compatible! But after some years I became complacent and trusted them. Their office stuff is great. The field crew is excellent. I kind of convinced myself that after all these years this company will be more courteous. To make it short, they have been overcharging my account by almost $.85 per galloon for their deliveries. I became very suspicious of their pricing and did a little market analysis and realized my error of judgment about this company. They have since refunded my account for the last delivery but they claim that it is very inconvenient to go back and refund for over charges of the past deliveries! The owner Chris is rude. In January I paid $200 to have some propane put in my tank and the driver accidentally overfilled and now they want me to pay $600 for their mistake cause I'm using the gas when I had no knowledge of the mistake that the delivery driver made not right not fair. read more

The invoice states on the back to pay within 30 days or a late charge and a finance charge of 1.5% Problem is invoice gets stuffed into the tank and we have no idea it was filled up. Called to correct problem in February... they removed charges. Same problem again 4 months later. Invoice stuffed in tank, late on paying bill. Called to correct charges and found out they have been charging finance charges on top of finance charges which I believe is illegal. The way the statement reads also shows they are posting the finance charges on the account before the 30 days are up. I mean seriously, drop the invoice at our front door!!! The company has apparently changed ownership. After four years of fabulous service, it has gone to the worst. We have always been on auto-fill, we pay our bill immediately, and we are out of gas! The house has NO HEAT!!!! We are senior citizens, the overnight temps are in the low 40's, high 30's. Their response...they will be fine....be very careful with their lack of service! read more

Charged a $100 certification fee to come out and do a pressure test. Just went to order my first fill up and it quoted ~$3.50 a gallon. Lava propane does the test for free and charges ~$2.50 a gallon (both are for a tank I own). Absolutely ridiculous to be charging that much more than the competition. They aren't a local company. Last year they were purchased by some company out it Illinois. I highly recommend looking around and seeing what else is available. read more

Sad to say Fallbrook has the worst customer service. Look into Suburban Propane or maybe Ferrellgas. I have had service with Fallbrook for just over 20 years. Poor service, I'm on auto fill and have ran out twice now. Had a temporary tank set up while construction was done. For my temporary set up it was moved and installed by fallbrook propane themselves, had been refilled once already, and then for whatever reason the technician that was supposed to refill it once it had ran out said he would not be filling it because of a possible lawsuit with the temporary hose they provided and installed and then left without providing a solution. (Even though they installed the tank for a temporary use themselves). It's sad that you pay for a service and can't count on them for their service. read more

The worst. They're a complete monopoly, and they act accordingly. A good advertisement for what happens to capitalism in an anti-competitive environment. Everyone I've dealt with there has been hostile and bitter. I don't know if it's a by-product of the company leadership, or possibly employees are selected for that trait. Janel and the office staff have always been very helpful and friendly anytime we've called. We were out of town and ran out of gas recently as our house sitters had the heater cranking 24-7. But because of Janelle and the team's forward-thinking and help we were able to get a same-day delivery on an off day to our semi-rural De Luz location. Thank you Janel and staff! beware!!!! They are under new ownership and they are not refunding all you money when you chose another company. We gave them all the info a month ahead of time to bill the new owners when we sold our home. Guess what? They sent us the new owners bill of over $700. I had to call to get them to send bill to new owner, and took 3 weeks to get a partial refund on the tank rental and fuel in tank. beware they will only give you the price per gallon on your first fill which is always a discounted rate but well below the market rate now. Buyer BEWARE! I've never written an online review but people need to know this company is shady. Something must have changed with them in the last year. They were always very helpful and I never had an issue. I was on automatic deliveries and payments for almost 5 years. Then one day my propane was shut off on a late mid-December Friday afternoon when it was below 40 degrees. The customer service was terrible, she made me feel awful and was very unhelpful. Turns out they shut off my automatic deliveries and payments, I was never notified and they never issued a shut off warning, so then I had to pay almost $1000 to get it reinstated and they didn't want to send anyone until the next day. They told me to call them when I needed a new delivery, even the driver said so. We try not to use our heat often, so there was no need for a delivery anytime soon. A week later they charge me over $750!!! With no heads up- no proof of delivery. Then they emailed me December 30 with a suggested payment plan for future deliveries. Makes no sense. Luckily there are other companies and I will be switching next week. read more

TERRIBLE customer service. I stopped by to fill a bbq tank and was told the only person was out on delivery and would be back in 15 minutes. After waiting 30 + minutes, I went back in the office to ask if he was coming back so I could have my tank filled. One person said she was sorry. I did complain about their inability fill a bbq tank when the office manager threw her hands in the air and said, I can go to the Shell station. Really disrespectful way to treat a customer. This place has went down hill fast! I've been using them for 7 years and I'm officially done! The customer service is absolutely horrible and always has been but I've looked past it because at least the delivery drivers are all great guys but every single woman I have ever spoken to on the phone has a major attitude problem extremely rude ladies working the phones and that's been since the beginning! They change your delivery days and give no notice and if you need a fill up and it's not your day the charge $100 even if you're willing to wait a couple days... nope doesn't matter you'll have to wait a week or pay $100 and that's completely new because I've always been on a call in delivery system where I call when I need a fill and they'll come out next day day after no problem now they refuse and NEVER did I receive a notice about this! They just want to charge extra for everything now! I'm done! read more

My initial experience was great. They came early with a tank exchange when mine ran out. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately I have had all bad experiences since. When they swapped the tank they left the gas on on the stove and left. I came home 4 hours later with my two small children to a house full of propane. Then they tried to tell me they just bled the lines. On four separate phone calls I had to explain the gas was left on. I was then told I would get a credit. Never happened. Then two weeks later they made an unscheduled delivery when I had nearly a full tank during the most expensive time of the year. Why would I ever top off when prices are double. Plus I don't appreciate people on my property without my permission. Update Management followed up with my complaint and resolved the issue. Once again they were polite and understanding. I had propane gas leaking, so I called the Fallbrook Propane Gas. (We have been purchasing the propane gas from this company since 2015.) The Chris, who is a company manager, immediately sent a guy, Mateo, who checked leaking area and had to shut down the propane gas tank's line. They are very professional, friendly, and kind. After replacing our propane line due to a leak, we called Ferrellgas to reconnect it to their tank...and called, and called, and called again with ZERO RESPONSE. After a week of no callbacks (not to mention no heat or hot water) we finally gave up on them and called Fallbrook Propane instead. They gave me a two hour windows from 12-2pm. They showed up at 1030 to inspect my tank. I wasn't there so they showed up again at 3pm. I had to take off work for 4 hours to be there. When I tried to reschedule they couldn't give me another date for another couple weeks. If they could have simply told me they need a four hour window it would've made things a lot simpler. read more

Thank you Fallbrook propane for helping us as 1st time land lords when our tenants trashed our home, including breaking windows, poop on floors and walls, stealing our water heater and mailbox, and had our propane tank removed. Love this company. I have been with America's, Pharrell and Ramona gas. Fallbrook propane has been a saving grace. All the propane companies are rip offs. My wife owned a house that she inherited when her father died . When it finally sold, we notified Fallbrook Propane of the closing date and that we requested a refund of the unused propane left in the tank. At the time of sale of the house, the average regional price was in the $2.50 per gallon range. Fallbrook Propane told us that we would not receive the current market price of the propane in the tank, but a discounted rate that they offer to new customers ($1.99 per gallon). The reason given was that my wife's father got this discount when he first signed up decades ago. But if they take it from you when you terminate service, then you really didn't get any discount! The idea of charging us for the new customer's discount means they are using our money to try to win over a new customer. If they want to give a discount to a new customer, that's on them. We decided it wasn't worth a big fight, but then things got worse. About a week later, they said they would not give us any refund unless the new house buyer agreed to use Fallbrook Propane. In essence they were forcing us to pressure the new buyer to use Fallbrook Propane or we receive no refund! Since the new buyers are not legally obligated to use Fallbrook Propane (they can use any company they want), they did not sign the transfer form. Furthermore, the office person said by law Fallbrook Propane cannot lock the tank to prevent the new buyer from using our propane. They told us they are "not allowed to deprive people of utilities". That definitely does not sound right, because if you don't sign up for electricity, the electric company does not provide it for free. And I bet if you don't pay Fallbrook Propane, they WILL shut off your service at some point! So we called our broker and he was surprised at what we had been told. He said he would call them and try to get it straightened out. We also sent them a message contesting the discount and their assertion that we had to find a new customer for them in order to get our refund. Only after the new buyer agreed to use Fallbrook Propane did we get our refund and it took a month to get our check. ...And they deducted the "new customer" discount from our money. Be sure to shop around. There are many propane companies out there. We could not recommend this one. read more
