I always try to support smaller, local businesses, rather than large ones, to stimulate the economy and give my money to people rather than big corporations. I have been a customer for many years. In fact, when I first started using them over ten years ago they were great. However, as with so many companies these days, that has changed. The family feel of the business is gone, and much better prices are available out there anyway. I will be changing companies now and I suggest you look around before using this service. I made 1 phone call today to another company, and was shocked at how much I have been overcharged by Fallbrook Propane for years. I rent a house so I couldn't switch my propane company even if I wanted to. Not all my experiences with fallbrook propane have been bad but there was one that still bothers me when I think about it. I always get the lowest amount of gas that's available which is about $150 or so and we usually refill more frequently during the winter time than we do during spring or summer due to less use of hot water. Anyways last time I called for a refill was back in April. Everything was going fine, the woman I spoke to was being polite but then she raised her voice and proceeded to tell me that last time I got a refill was about 2 months ago and that if I'm going to be getting the least amount of gas possible I have to call every month since that amount of gas would only last me a month. Obviously they'd want me to call monthly since they're going to be receiving my money so what do they care right? I didn't think about saying this when I was speaking to the woman but there is absolutely no reason for me to be refilling monthly if the amount of gas I paid for is lasting longer than what they say it should. I've even been told by them many times to call once I have around 20% left in my tank and I do call when I either have a bit more or a bit less. If my gas is lasting me longer, then I believe it's very unnecessary to call monthly and waste $150 every month when I still have plenty of gas available. I also don't appreciate a woman lecturing me about how often I need to be calling. I'll call when I NEED to! Not when I'm told to. I have to call again soon & it's been over a month since we've gotten a refill so I'll wonder if I'll be lectured again! read more

I had an appointment today for a technician to come out and hook up my propane dryer, due to some miscommunication with the office the technician thought the appointment was between 12 and 2, rather that the 2-4 that I booked. When I called to office to make sure they had my correct number at 1:30 they said the technicians had been to my home and left. I have been without a dryer for about a week and desperately wanted it hooked up next thing I know Fletcher and Mateo (their technicians) come back to my house and hooked up my dryer, it was hooked up by 2:15, great customer service Fletcher and Mateo . read more

Be careful. They do NOT explain how Propane works. Why should they when they make their money by selling propane. Let me tell you what they don't tell you. If you come from a place where you had natural gas that cost you $20/month, get ready for a surprise $350 bill during cold months if you think propane works like natural gas. FAR FROM IT AND THEY DON'T TELL YOU. Shame on them. In December I went through a tank. Why, because I set my thermostat to 68 degrees. On and off, on and off to stay 68 degrees BIG MISTAKE. Every time the furnace comes on, huge gulp of propane. Picture that happeneing all night, every night. On off money down the drain and they know it. Do they tell you? Why should they. Use anybody else. And watch out for th yearly bill for the tank that no other company "supposedly" charges. Fallbrook gets you. Family owned, nice people that should go further to keep their customers. I hate being ignorant and being taken advantage of. They even came to my house and never a word on how to use. Set at 70, leave on for a while and then turn off. Buy a sweatshirt! read more

I originally called Amerigas and scheduled our propane tank refill to be scheduled. They told me Thursday between 8am and 12pm. So here I am sitting around waiting for them and around 11am I decided to call them and find out where they were. Low and behold they told me oh no we have you down from 12pm to 4pm and you have to have an inspection before you can get refilled. I should have known not to go with them. I called Fallbook Propane and my experience couldn't have been different. I spoke with Meredith and I was told that a technician was in my area that day and could be there in less than an hour. They waived the inspection fee and gave me a first time fill rate which was very reasonable. Exactly as she stated on the phone the truck showed up at 12:30pm and he was done with everything in about 45 minutes. My wife and I couldn't be happier with their first rate service and professionalism. If you are in need of propane look no further and do yourself the favor of calling Fallbrook Propane first!!! read more
