Marty is one of the most pleasant individuals we've had the pleasure of meeting. As newcomers to our neighborhood, and having just moved into our new home, it's always a bit nerve-wracking to find reliable service providers. Bought home there tank was on it told them to get there property off my property since I have no agreement with them and they threatened to call the cops. Alliance propane and all other propane companies are a joke. Hey if their is nothing in escrow docs or they don't come to me with an agreement then their property is illegally left on my land plain and simple. These people are dumbasses. read more

Not professional at all, I called to request a quote for our property which has about 42 tanks to see if we could get them to provide their services, Dan their sales rep called and said he was showing up that day he never showed up, I called him again three weeks later (after Christmas holidays) to give him another chance, he said he would show up that day AGAIN he didn't show up or called to cancel. Called him a week later to ask if they were still interested in gaining our business his response was "I discussed it with the owners and they said they are not interested right now, we have too much going on and prices of tanks have gone through the roof". I guess everyone, if you are looking to get Propane service from this company don't waste your time calling them because they don't want any new customers. read more

This company is amazing! We just moved to La Cresta and have never used propane before. We couldn't get the existing supplier to come and connect the locked out propane tank for several days. We called Alliance and spoke to Tony who was extremely helpful! He sent out two technicians Dan and Bobby the same day! They brought a new tank, swapped it out, tested for leaks, checked that all the appliances worked, and placed the old one in a spot for the other company to come pick up. Talk about earning someone's business and trust. What an amazing customer service. We will be looking forward to along term relationship with them as our propane service company. read more

Don't waste your time with this company. Horrible customer service. They are literally leaving me and my family with no heat, hot water or the ability to cook anything. They offered no solutions just excuses. Their tank that I pay for them to "maintain" has a leak and they can't fix it until it's empty. They didn't even send a tech out to fix it even after I told them I had found a leak. They guy comes today to fill the tank and says he can't fill it if it's leaking. Literally the worst communication and customer service I have experienced. They're a freakin joke. read more

Hello! Had some propane delivered, and had a leak yesterday. Thought we would be out a while with no propane. Another guy came out today and realized it could only be leaking from 1 of the 2 lines, and it would be the line to the garage. Long story short, your service guy Bobby was great! Polite, helpful, patient with our dumb gate and detours to get to the house. He was helpful, explained everything thoroughly. NEVER promote him! Lol He's too good at his current job. I had to learn the hard way that Alliance Propane should've been my propane source all along . When Amerigas showed they couldn't care two cents about the customer , I called Alliance . Dan Truelove took care of us from start to finish and treated us like we had been long term customers . He arranged for a a plumber to come out , Armando , who fixed our leak in the dark until it was done right . Then came out the next day to make sure we had heat and hot water in the middle of winter . Give your business to Alliance. They deserve it. Alliance Propane came to our rescue on so many levels. First, some background: Never having propane before, we weren't sure how to manage this new utility. But, we figured we had some time since the seller of our house told us he'd just filled the tank and we'd only been in our new house a couple weeks. Then suddenly we had no propane. It was just about time to fix dinner. I went down to the tank to get the number off of it (Amerigas), and gave them a call. Liz answered and informed us it was our responsibility to switch service to be under our name, then went on to say it'd be over two weeks until they could make it out, and started rattling off a list of fees. I explained we were propane newbies, that I am a full-time caregiver to my 100% combat disabled hubby and that we're raising our special needs granddaughter and we REALLY needed hot water and cooking fuel. She said that wasn't their concern. (Seriously.) I mentioned the tank was so rusted it appeared to be a safety hazard. Liz told me they'd make that determination and went on to say that requesting a tank inspection was a separate service and fee and would delay getting propane by another week or so. At that point, I think I passed out. When I came to, I decided I'd take cold showers for the rest of my days before paying them one single penny. A quick internet search led me to Alliance Propane. Ann answered and was remarkably sympathetic. She arranged for Tony, their sales rep, to come out WITHIN THE HOUR with a propane truck to set us up. That's when we discovered Amerigas had actually locked our (full) tank--without ever having contacted us. I mean, they had our address for crying out loud. Tony agreed that the current tank was a safety hazard. He made a quick call to their office at which point BOTH owners, Mike and Brad, came out after regular business hours with a small tank of fuel to tide us over and went through setting up our appliances for us. I've never had so much joy turning on a stove burner! They arranged to come back the next day with a brand new tank, got us all set up (BTW, their prices beat Amerigas by A LOT) and gave us great advice on how to get Amerigas to actually show up and remove the old tank. They even gave us price breaks on top of their incredible service. Anne, Tony, Mike and Brad, I apologize for taking way too long to write this review. Please know how truly grateful we are for your service and support! It warmed our hearts to know that there are still businesses out there who care about people and not the almighty dollar. Even the next day, I could hardly speak with her; never have I been treated so harshly by a business. All I could say is I hoped Liz was sent packing. Toby seemed sincerely sorry and willing to make things right. But, after experiencing Alliance Propane's customer service compared to Amerigas', I could never go back. If you read my previous reviews, you will see that I downgraded this company a couple of months ago because of their decision to do an improper installation. Our local municipality forced them to correct things, so all is good in that regard. But another situation came up a couple of months ago where their customer service was great! We are on one of those plans that I have to call to order propane - it is not automatically delivered. I'm usually pretty good about this, but failed to do so in December. So on New Years Eve, midday, we run out of propane. This is a big deal because our heating and cooking are propane fueled, and because we are cooking for about 40 people on New Years Day, and we are completely dependent on the propane. So I called Alliance. Naturally they are all booked and won't be able to do anything until January 2nd. I explained the situation, they said they were very sorry, and we started making plans to cancel our annual New Years Day Party. We are very depressed at this point, and I was very upset with myself for not checking the propane for the first time in seven years! About a half hour later they call and one of their field guys gets on the phone. He explains that there is a way, without bringing a truck, they can force about ten gallons of propane into our system. (Of course, there is an extra charge for this, but that is to be expected.) So he came out, and, within an hour, we were up and running! We had to be careful as to our usage for the the 36 hours, but we were able to continue with our annual celebration! All thanks to the people at Alliance who took our situation to heart. So we are very grateful for the staff for looking out for us. Thank you, Juanita in particular! It's rare to find a company that performs at the level we experienced today, a Sunday. After a lengthy absence we arrived home around 1 p.m., opened the house and guest house only to discover that the propane tank had run dry. I called the emergency number and within an hour a truck was here and pumped in 300 gallons of propane into our 1100 gallon tank. He was followed immediately by a technician who spent a good two hours bleeding the lines and getting everything going. And everything is a lot. Several tankless water heaters and several furnaces. And the emergency price was very reasonable under the circumstances. This is a company you want to do business with. read more

We signed up for a payment which helped us budget for the cost of propane. Anita the account manager, spent time to educate & explain the program benefits thoroughly to me. After a year with Amerigas I just figured that high prices and poor service was the norm for propane service in the area. I had propane in the past in Texas and was used to good to excellent service from most providers. After yet another bad experience with Amerigas I finally decided to go through the hassle of changing companies and tanks. To my great surprise the process was made quick, simple and convenient thanks to ALLIANCE PROPANE. They were very helpful, polite, amiable to working around my schedule and above all interested in my business!!! Now to the best part...they were 1/2 the price per gallon of Amerigas for the initial rate and they are +30% lower in their regular rate. The installer and the delivery drivers have been nice and thorough in lighting pilots and such. The office staff is always nice too. Amerigas owns several of the other companies in the area so you are still dealing with a goliath with poor service...Alliance is family owned. On a side note... It has been 4 months since I called Amerigas (several times) to retrieve their old tanks but they are still sitting there...so when people drive by they see new Alliance tanks and can tell I switched from Amerigas. You would think they would want their tanks back but maybe so many people are leaving they don't have room for all the old tanks. Switching to Alliance has been a great decision, I highly recommend them. read more

It's very simple Go look up Inland Propane their gallon is $1.00 less than Alliance besides Alliance has terribly customer service skills.

Unfortunately, I was treated very rudely when I let them know that I switched provider. The lady on the phone accused me of being a "pawn" in their competitors deliberate "targeting" of their business. I couldn't believe it! Honestly, I'd rather freeze to death than ever go back to a propane provider that feels entitled to people's business. Maybe they need to rethink their professional ethic toward people if they hope to survive the free market our country allows its citizens to operate in. A different attitude and a fresh approach to keeping customers would be more effective. read more

Alliance came through when I forgot to check my tank gauges and they ran out as friends were using our place on the weekend. Alliance came out and provided a quick temporary fill and restarted all the pilot lights as well. My friends were delighted and able to enjoy the weekend thoroughly, great customer service with just a phone call. A Christmas miracle! We are new home owners and never had a propane tank before. We noticed we only had 5% left on Sunday. Called Monday and by today they filled our tank and small BBQ tank. They were extremely sympathetic to our plight and gave us tips to conserve until our tank could be inspected and filled. Through the whole process, they were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
