Been dealing with this company for months now. Left many emails and phone calls for them to come out and pick up their tank. Nobody would call back, they said there is an open balance a year later and mysteriously never received one. Then they send a new one with a huge outstanding balance even though it was paid. Customer service is not very good. You would expect a company on top of reaching to customers about the propane. read more

I had used KC propane for close to 10 years. I loved them, they used to be amazing. I waited about a year to write this review to give them time to fix minimal issues (paying me back for the propane left in the tank, when they came and picked their tank up, as they said they would). So it wouldn't be as bad... if they were nicer I would have given them 2, maybe 3 stars. They used to be amazing. But then I was told to call the fire department and site them because they refused to fix their leaking tank (mind you even though I was paying for rent, we found the leak... they weren't even checking their tank! My husband backed into the regulator, not the tank. We paid to replace the regulator and line going into the ground. Then they leak checked my house... which was leaking bad!!! We didn't ever smell propane, ended up being under the cement, so my husband checked the tank because they didn't when they checked the house, and it was leaking from their screw plug on top. We pad a ton to fix our line, but they refused to fix their tank, they were supposed to be maintaining and checking... that's what tank rental is for and they never checked for leaks!!!) I was paying rent for. I should have reported them, but once again, they used to be so great, I really wanted to give them a chance. The owner told me to run the tank empty, and they would fix it here at my house, because they said it would cost too much to fix it at the shop. I tried calling every so often to let them know my percentage, to be kind, but also so they could keep in mind when I was out of propane I would need them to come that day or maybe the day after, as I would have no heat or no way to cook food, and it was already cold at my house. I called the last time and let them know i was getting lower, I reminded the receptionist that they wanted the tank empty, but that I can't wait to be put on the schedule once it was, she told me I'm close enough, and I asked her are you sure? She said yes and scheduled me. When the tech got here, he was soo rude and told me that he needed my tank, he refused to fix it. When I called the boss, he told me my tank wasn't 100% empty, and that his guy couldn't fix it. I told him that I let the receptionist know, but she wanted them to come anyways. I was fine with calling them when it is 100% but that they would need to come in as soon as it's empty or by the next am, we need heat (it has snowed here it does get cold and I have small children and a baby at the time, who medically needed heat). I had let him know that his rude main tech told me that even after it's empty he won't fix it because he wants to give my tank to another house. I had a 500 gallon thank from them for almost the whole time I had had them, and after 9 years of me paying tank rent (for this tank) they were refusing to fix the tank on my property or replace with another 500 gallon tank. The tech was even telling me he doesn't care what the boss says he won't do it. And when I called the boss he told me that he's sorry the guy is being rude but I won't do it then!? Like what the heck! He said for him to fix it he would cost him $1200 and it's not worth it to him... which I had been a customer for right about 10 years!!! And my friends around here have started using others before me because he was soo bad. I really wanted to give him a chance after soo long. I roughly had about 80 gallons left in my tank, which would have been say $120 at $3.00 a gallon. After all I went through and me not calling to report him, I figured that's the least he could have done... never use Kc propane!!!! read more

This company is completely unethical! We have two tanks; one went down dramatically with very little use. Notified KC and was told "on your last fill the driver noted a small leak." WTF??? Did they fix it...NO!!! We were NEVER told of this and it sure wasn't a small leak. KC accused us of using more than we were admitting to...on a tank THEY KNEW leaked and did nothing about! Awesome!!!!!!!!!! I was having issues with Amerigas, to the point that I asked them to cancel my service and pick up their tank. Chris at KC Propane got here within an hour of me calling. He installed a new tank. Pulled Amerigas' tank out to where they could pick it up, and got everything up in running in no time. Gave me enough propane for a few weeks, and sent a regular truck out the following week to fill up the tank. Great people and easy to work with. read more

Oh my gosh, these guys saved me today! I was not diligent about checking the tank at our vacation rental, but I did so today, a few hours before our weekend guests were due to arrive. Absolutely the best customer service!!! We were having trouble with our propane oven and the tech who came out to fix it, said it was our propane regulator causing the issue. Juan from KC propane came out and assured me that my regulator is the best and proved it was not in need of adjustment. Juan took the time to break it all down for me. He explained how the regulator works and showed that our appliances were receiving the correct amount of propane to function properly. I contacted this company almost 4 weeks ago to come fill our tanks for our fork lift. I was told they would be out the following Wednesday (6/5). That next Thursday (6/13) i called and was told he was going to be there that day or the next day Friday (6/14). The following Monday (6/17) I called and was told he would be there either Tuesday (6/18) or Wednesday (6/19). That week came and went. I called again yesterday Monday (6/24) and was told he would be here that day to fill our tanks and swap out a old bad one. When I called them this morning to see when they were coming they said their driver came here last night at 5:30 and we were closed. and tried coming back this morning at 7am. Both were complete lies, we have a second shift that doesn't leave till 3am. I personally was here till 7pm and no one ever showed up. Our first shift starts at 6am and i was here at 6:30 and no one ever showed up. Once i called them out and explained no one showed up that i was personally here. They tried turning the tables asking why we haven't used them for the last year. Well..... where do i begin? whenever we need service you don't show up and you just lie about coming. I recommend staying as far away from this dishonest company as possible. The only good thing about this company is the lady that answers the phone is very nice and she actually gets back to you when she says shes going to. but the OC driver Tom, is the complete opposite. read more

The technician came out the next morning to install our new tank and he was extremely courteous and professional. In fact, he located a leak on the competitor's tank within two minutes of arriving. (During the prior two months, the competitor came out three times when we noticed a strong propane smell and was not able to locate this leak.) KC Propane delivers Propane to large storage tanks at your home (or business). I have used Amerigas, Ferrell, and several other large Propane delivery Services. KC is the best. They have the absolute lowest prices and super service. They do not have trumped up add on charges either, such as when you don't have them scheduled and you call up because you need gas now. Amerigas whas charging me close to $5 a gallon a few years ago filling a 500 gallon tank. KC, in the winter , was under $3. Amerigas claimed that price was under their cost... a total lie since they are one of the largest (and most expensive) propane services in the US. Do yourself a favor. Call around and compare. You will eventually come to the best price and service... at KC. I am a fan! (and a customer too.) read more
