Worst experience I've ever had. This driving school is awful. I would strongly advise against it to anyone. I had a lot of lessons, yet I still failed my driving test the first time. Time and money wasted, in my opinion. It appears that the instructor is unconcerned with whether or not their students pass the DMV driving test. Throughout my sessions, my driving teacher could be seen constantly checking his phone and sending texts. I'm embarrassed by what you did when someone was taking a driving lesson. I wish everyone well if they decide to receive their driver's education here. read more

Would rate zero if i could. What a terrible school. The people who work here are rude. They lied about the price for adults. It's in a shady part of town. There was a hobo sleeping near the place. The receptionist was very rude. Asked if I had been practicing driving. Got mad when I said I hadn't. When I met the teacher he also asked if I had been practicing, and got mad that I hadn't. What a strange question for them to ask both of them her and the teacher. Gonzalo is a terrible teacher. Seems apathetic about teaching driving. Kept busting me for speeding for going 1 mile over the posted limit. When you would do something he didn't like, but not dangerous he would slam on the break. Had the radio on in the car the whole time. Very distracting. Knows nothing about what he teaches. Kept telling me all the rules for teenagers, but I'm not a teenager. Seemed more interested in getting me ready to take the test like really soon. Kept getting mad at my very little driving experience. That's what I signed up for your school for. Tried to coax me into driving on the freeway, but I declined. Very rude to another student I was in the car with. The sign is grammatically wrong "Bobss"? It should be "Bob's" I should have known not to trust a business with a grammatically wrong sign. What does BOB stand for? Bottom of the Barrel. I would possibly recommend if you are really good at driving and are scheduled to take the test within the next week or so. Other than that don't waste your time. Caveat emptor! read more

My review is a little late but.. This place is GREAT! Not only are they open on the weekends, but also picked up and dropped off my son at home. I advised them he was still in school and I was able to schedule sessions after when he got home. They have to do 3 days of 2 hr driving. Also, everyone there was very friendly and answered any questions I had. The instructors are good with their students and don't make them drive on the freeway unless they know the student is ready and confident to do so. I definitely recommend Bob's Driving School and will enroll my younger son when it's his turn to start driving! read more

They drive to your home and have you driving right away! My 6 kids have all used Bobss and have gotten their certificates. They do 3, two hour lessons and you have to teach them the rest. It's great to get your kids started cause Bobss' car has a second set of brakes that the instructor uses. read more

I am writing this review on behalf of what my daughter told me she experienced with Bob's driving school. My daughter has her behind the wheel test coming up soon at the DMV. She wanted to get some practice in, and although I have worked with her at driving behind the wheel, we both thought it would be better that she did driving lessons with a professional driving instructor who would be able to show her, tell her, and point out what it is the DMV would be looking for when taking your behind the wheel test. My daughter said the driving instructor was very professional, polite, and easy to work with. He was calm the entire time, worked with her on items she felt needed to be worked on, and made sure that she understood the concepts of driving properly. When I called the office I spoke to a gentleman named Rene, he was very professional, and accommodating. They asked where I would like to have my daughter picked up, and many times it was more convenient to have her picked up at school or a different location than to have her picked up at home. I would recommend Bob's driving school, I feel we as parents think we know how to drive, and we probably do however I for one am not up on current DMV requirements and I would hate to teach my daughter the wrong habits. I had my two older boys attend and I like the fact that it is hands-on training. The online is cheaper but then when they have a question they have no one to ask. Ok...not a very helpful person, I didn't know what to say, at that point he lost my business. Very bad customer service. Please hire another receptionist. Losing my business. great school yall i had an iconic instructor and he always pushed me to be the best his name was gustavo and i miss him. he gives you tough love but all he wants it for you to be a successful driver and that's EXACTLY what is done. I passed my dmv exam on the first try and only had two weeks left to get my yellow slip so i called bobs driving school up and they had me ready in less then two weeks. you can choose how to spread out the lessons but in my case i needed it to be done in less than two weeks and that was EXACTLY what was done. 10/10 recommended read more

My son passed his written test on the first try and is now taking behind the wheel lessons. The staff is friendly and attentive and always answer my questions promptly. My only concern has been the facility being closed on random dates without notification. On two occasions we drove up to drop off my son and the place was closed during regular business hours. read more

On each lesson Gonzalo the instructor went back to his office for 30-40 minutes and left my son sitting around. He did not explain safety or the functions of the car. My friend who also used this company told me that on one of her sons lessons he went to get a car wash. I would never use this company again. read more

In all honesty he only needed 3 lessons but I wanted him to go on the freeway with the instructor & sure enough the instructor thought he was ready & now my son has his license & is fully comfortable driving thanks to Bob's Driving School. This is an incredibly disappointing school. I truly regret spending my money here. I requested a brush up lesson on a few weeks ago and met up with an instructor (I've forgotten his name) in the morning. He arrived with a 2015 Toyota Corolla while other schools provide modern electric cars that are simply easier to control and more comfortable for the student in general. This is something I don't necessarily mind as I learned to drive with a school that provided electric cars but this can be a problem for beginners and their prices aren't cheap so I definitely expected a nicer car. Once I got in the car, my instructor asked me about the locations of controls and would talk to me as if I was stupid for not knowing when I've only driven more modern cars so the locations would be different compared to his 2015 one. I called you guys so I can learn these things without judgment but my instructor acted as if it was a chore his mom had forced him to do or something. I'm paying you money to do this so I really don't need the unnecessary attitude. After driving for like 30-40 minutes, he told me to go to the gas station because he "didn't want to push the car." As the instructor, you should've had a car filled with gas before coming to the student so it doesn't interfere with my 2 hour lesson. Not only did the trip teach me absolutely nothing as I sat in the car browsing my phone as he took forever to fill the tank, but it took up a lot of time that I had paid for. I was then told to go to the office for a receipt but I also spent nearly 15-20 minutes browsing my phone in the office as he answered voicemails and even turned on the tv. After having so much of my time wasted, I was really over this instructor and lesson after getting my receipt and leaving the office. To add on to my already bad mood, he tells me that we have to pick up another student which I don't mind doing but we end up waiting in the apartment complex for ages. Again, this all counts towards my 2 hours so I essentially wasted 30+ minutes of my lesson with all these things combined. When I asked questions like what is the appropriate following distance, he would answer by asking me math questions that were supposed to help me calculate but mind you, I was focused on driving and had signed up for a driving lesson, not a math lesson. I had wanted him to look at whether I was doing the correct following distance as I'm a visual learner but he just kept telling me how to calculate and not how I was doing at the moment. He needs to understand that not all student learn the same way and subjecting all students to calculating while driving is ridiculous. In conclusion, I wasted my money here and so will you if you choose this school. read more

Bob's driving school was a great experience for me, personally. I had a hard time getting comfortable behind the wheel with my dad trying to teach me, which is why I decided to get an instructor. (I'm 20 btw) The driving school was very easy to work with regarding the days and times I was available. Renee was always super nice and easy to talk to on the phone, which was a huge plus! They were very accommodating of my schedule and I appreciated the fact that they would call me whenever they had a cancellation. Overall the driving lessons helped me become comfortable behind the wheel since I had very very little experience prior to my first lesson. I liked that they were 2 hours long because it gave just the right amount of time to practice with the instructor. On the first lesson, they take you into the office to pay, and I appreciated this little "break" because driving on the streets for the first time was very nerve-racking for me. The driving instructor (whose name I've forgotten sorry!) was nice and always on time. They can pick you up from your house, work, school, or whatever surrounding area you request, which is nice! When you first arrive in the car, another student is driving and they drive back to their own house/location. I liked this because it gave me the chance to sit back and see what the driving instructor would tell them and correct them on. Overall, the driving instructor was really all that I needed. I just wanted to get comfortable behind the wheel so that I could start practicing with my dad or grandpa, and this is exactly what happened. During the 3 lessons, the driving instructor covered everything that was on the test. He would make corrections and provide comments about my driving in relation to the driving test. My biggest concern/critique is that I feel like he did not always provide enough feedback. You definitely have to ask him, because, at least for me, he only made comments while I was driving. I would have appreciated for him to tell me what I need to work on after the lesson was over or something along those lines. However, he was always very nice and open to answering any questions I had. Nevertheless, it was a simple and easy process. After my 3 lessons, I felt more than comfortable enough to practice with my dad. Obviously, you are not going to become a super good/experienced driver after just 3 lessons because driving is something that takes a lot of time and practice, so I wouldn't come in with the expectation that you are going to be able to pass your test after just 6 hours of lessons. They helped me become comfortable behind the wheel so that I could practice with my own family before taking the test, which is what I had hoped for. For reference, I had my lessons in mid-late June/early July and passed my test the first week of August. Overall, great experience at this driving school because it was just what I needed. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about this place. They work with students, Renee is ways there to help. Renee is a GREAT guy, very approachable and the students really like him... I know I did, I'm kinda sad that my son's classes are over. My son learned a lot and passed his writen on the first try, it only took him less than 8mins to take the written test at the DMV which shocked me because he's not good at taking test like most people because the nerves kick in. He was very confident going in. The driving instructor was also very nice and helpful, my son felt very comfortable with him. I highly recommended this driving school, kids learn better when they're in a comfortable environment and like their teachers, and this driving school offers that. Poor customer service. He had to cancel one of the appointments and never called us back like he said he would. It required multiple attempts to reschedule. I have been calling them on a daily basis for two weeks now to schedule the third class and no one is answering the phone. I can't even leave a message. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL. the price was great. some of the people were nice, but the instructor i got was a grumpy old man. he was so mean. he was always yelling at me. Which would make me freak out. he did teach me a lot of things, but was not worth it for me. traumatizing. i also felt that they do not really take the time to help you practice certain areas where you need it the most for example parking.
