I arrived at the height of lunchtime and they were busy. The staff was very well manned and organized. I had the #1 ranchero meal without the bun as I have to eat Gluten Free for health reasons and not merely preference. Everything from parking to my exit was great except the dining room area needed some help as most of the tables were not clean. Some training of a new team member was going on but she is not likely to be able to keep up with the need for clean tables and floor. First impressions are important and the dining area needs help. read more

Taco Tuesday!!! A day bigger than Christmas in Burque. People rush upon taco restaurants like hungry zombies. Decided to try Bob's Burgers after not eating it for several years and never at this location. It clear didn't wow me. And here's why. My order was taken quickly and with great accuracy. After showing my credit card and my ID, I was charged and headed over to the drink station to fill my cup. Sidenote, this didn't affect my review at all, But it's worth mentioning that they will not charge a credit card or debit card without seeing your ID. Regardless of amount. The drink station was my first problem. There's a giant sign on the machine that says $.50 for refills. Who in gods name charges for refills anymore?? If I'd known that this was the situation I would've gotten a large drink or stuck to water. I'm about to eat some spicy chili I'm probably gonna want an ample amount of beverage. If you're goo g to charge for refills then at least make that known where people order. I never carry cash in not going to run my card for $.50. Got the food after a short wait. Not too bad. Here's my next problem. There were plenty of open seats, but they were all filthy. Tables were covered in food and sticky. We picked the least nasty and did our best to clean with napkins. Food was hot and made correctly. Although we didn't do any special orders so not sure how they do with variations. Bathrooms are not gender neutral for those who want to know. They are locked so you need to wait and ask for the key. Which kinda sucks from the angle that its not a single person bathroom. So even though there's multiple stalls only one person can get in at a time since you need a key. It wasn't a total loss since the food was good. And that's why I was there really. But there's some room for improvement for sure. read more

The food is good just about the same as any other time I've had it but the price is just insane now. One chilie cheese fry is $7 dollars!! Can you believe that? I don't know who still comes here with all the price gouging going on. Stopped by for a cheap snack and to my surprise I get absolutely raped price wise. I had my first Bob's at the Central location, so later the day after my stomach was adjusted to the NM chile, I had to go again, to give my wife the Bob's experience. The location on 4th reminds me a bit of a In & Out burger joint, 50's style interior, nice seating indoors and a drive thru. Again a taco burger (this time the soft taco) and a footlong chili dog was on the menu. It was good, however it did not match up with my experience at the original Bob's. This location is a 3.5 but can't give it 4 stars. I hear rumors that there is another place in ABQ that tops Bob's, maybe later today I will check that out. I am here for one more day and don't know when I come back, so I might as well, don't you agree? read more

This Bob's burgers is the worst Bob's burgers I have ever been to and I've came multiple times and have had the same service they have s*** employees and s*** management management they don't answer the drive-through until they're done Doing whatever they are doing they don't let you know if they are open or closed soh so most of the time I just pull up if I have been waiting more than 5 minutes and then they get mad then they get mad and talk s*** with the management right in front of you so where you can hear them saying they hate when customers do that but if they would let their customers know in the drive-through that they would be with them shortly or something we wouldn't have to do this this Bob's Burger needs to be shut down or have different management this is absolutely horrible every single time I have gone read more

Flavorful, but I think if I try them again I'll get something without the chile sauces which make for a very wet burrito or hamburger. There something about their particular sauces and cheese that when put together make for a very gooey -almost slimy- mess and...it's just not my thing. So thankful I found this place! I absolutely love the taco burgers. The cheese fries come with real shredded cheese, if that's your thing. And the green chile is spicy good. Order it on the side if mild is more your flavor. When I'm wanting something quick I tend to bypass fast food establishments that lack a drive-thru. I've gone without Bob's Burgers for this very reason since most of their locations are "sit down." This location is very convenient. Do yourselves a favor and try this place. Gave up and jumped the stagnant drive thru line after 10 minutes, and we hadn't even placed our order yet. Only 3 cars ahead of ours. Maybe dining room service is better? I tried their ranchero burger back in the day - which was decent - and so decided I would stop by and try their new breakfast offerings. I ordered the "veggie" (no meat) breakfast burrito with green. The tortilla was very well toasted, which I liked, the scrambled eggs were nice and light, there wasn't too much hash brown (although they were undercooked, which seems to be the norm here in the 505) it could have used more cheese and some more green - which was flavorful, but not that spicy. At $3.50 it was a fair price, if I found myself near another location around breakfast time I would stop by, but compared to the Burrito Lady or Golden Pride this place is just okay. read more

I left Albuquerque 8 years ago and not holding someone hostage for the ranchero sauce recipe is one of my biggest regrets!! Now once a year (if I'm lucky) I make one of my relatives go in and buy a 32oz container of the stuff and smuggle it to Oregon. BEST Bobs Burgers in town! I ordered the Ranchero Supreme w/ green chile cheese fries. Iced tea (unsweetened) was brewed to perfection. Chile is hotter than the Bobs on Coors and Southern (RR). I went there last night to try their burger and fries, I was hopeful it was good because there was a long line. I didn't know they were having a special on taco burgers, and apparently they didn't care that the fries were cold and soft, such a disappointment! I returned this morning to try their breakfast burrito and told the nice young lady at the window what happened. I asked to speak to the manager and I was astounded by her behavior! The girl at the window was nicer than she was. The manager never apologized, she just said what do you want me to do? I am so angry at her unprofessional behavior. This was a pretty bad experience. It took well over twenty minutes to get our food from the drive thru. I couldn't bail because I was trapped by the curb and other cars. Ordered food for the family. My order was repeated back to me three times both at the order board and the window. However, it was still wrong. I've had a lot of disappointing meals in my life, but my meal at Bob's ranks among the very worst. I am not opposed to a greasy burger, and I am a big fan of both red and green chile, so the idea of a taco burger from Bob's really appealed to me. And, let's face it, Bob's is a pretty successful chain here in NM. So, I gave it a try. And it was disgusting. The patty is gray, shiny, wet, squishy from grease. No veggies on it, they just plop on an overabundance of some kind of pinkish goop with green chiles in it. I liked that it actually had some heat to it, but the flavor of it was atrocious. I couldn't finish it. Worst burger of my life. It was like eating hot wet garbage. It didn't even taste like a burger. The fries were okay, but you can find okay fries anywhere. One of the best places to get good chile (red and green). Their burgers and fries are nominal, but in truth you don't come here for those. The Ranchero burger is covered with so much green chile sauce that you can hardly taste the sandwich, and that's just the way we like it. The burger patty itself is kinda "sausagey". Husband loved the food, for me, even the chili dog was too spicy but I'm a whimp when it comes to spicy food. This is my favorite of the Bob's burgers restaurants in town. I have come to this location and the older location directly across the street for 20+ years. The taco burgers are my favorite (especially on taco Tuesday) but the chile dogs, beef taquitos, and patty melts are good as well. Horrible interaction with the staff and manager. First off called, to place an order and was placed on hold for over 30 minutes. I called from a different phone and line was busy. Finally hung up and tried to call, but nothing. I decided to go, which is out of my way, but craving bobs! Get there and let them know that there phones are not working, but they didn't care. I got a manager explained to him and actually showed him the error I was getting. He simply said, ohh yeah someone left someone on hold. That happens sometimes. I explained it was me, and he had no empathy or even cared about the situation, me driving there, or offered any apology. I asked if you can order online or if bobs had any plans to offer an app, and he had no idea how to answer or provide any resolution. He said there is nothing I can do for you and walked away. Here's a lesson-all Bob's Burger's are not alike in terms of their chile temperature! I normally eat the the Rio Bravo one and I need a full glass of milk beside me to eat my foot-long and my taco burger. I've been going to the Bobs on Menaul at San Mateo at least once a week for several years to pick up lunch for myself and coworkers at least once a week for several years. The menu is diverse enough to satisfy everyone but not so extensive that the prep time is extensive. Never once have they ever screwed up an order! What really sets them apart, besides great food, is how friendly everyone is. They smile and greet everyone who comes in the door no matter how busy they are, and the team work ensures that the food is prepared quickly. Love this place! read more
