Very honest and trustworthy mechanics shop. I ran over something in the road and immediately started hearing a noise from the back of my car. I took it to CarX and they told me I did $7,000 worth of damage. I had the car towed to Bobs and Sean and Andrea worked to give my car a full inspection and figured out that a small fix would correct the issue. $300 total and my car is perfect. CarX was not being honest, but Bob's was. Now I have a trustworthy mechanic. I would highly recommend them. read more

Bobs Auto Repair is your local auto repair shop. When i lived on the east side of time, this was my go-to place when my car wasnt functioning correctly. I never feel like i can trust mechanic shops, as i dont know anything about cars, so I have no idea if I am being taken advantage of with price. I have never felt this way about Bobs. The first time i visited Bobs was when my Car was making a horrible sound. I took it to a few local chain places. One quoted me 400 dollars and another quoted 900 for two different diagnosis's and two different sets of parts. When I took it into Bob's They immediately took a look while I waited a quoted me 50 dollars to weld a missing screw back on. 50 bucks! not 900! I was very impressed. I also take my vehicle to Bob's for my basic car needs, Oil changes, batteries, tune ups etc. During these services, Ive never been pressured to buy things or have unnecessary services done on my car. Their a little out of the way, if you arnt on the east side of town and their waiting room could use a place to sit, but you will find the staff incredibly friendly and helpful and their service fast. read more

My husband and I were BOTH having car problems today. He made an appointment to get his serviced, mentioned that mine was acting up. Tracy not only drove him home since his would take a while, but took a look at my car. She diagnosed my dying battery and cleaned the terminals, without my having to ask. There was no pressure to buy, or upsell. Of course, I went ahead and ordered the battery -- which she said probably wouldn't be installed until Monday (mind you, I was there Friday at like 4 o'clock-- there was NO expectation of having the car back until Monday evening). Imagine my surprise when, by the end of the day, we both had working vehicles! The service was incredible, she went above and beyond in being friendly and had my car done two days early. This is the best place in the city for auto repair. After overspending at several places, we gave it a try and could not have been happier that we did. We took my husbands car to several places that could not diagnose why it was overheating and quoted $1000 to try to find the leak. We took it to Bob's and they told us exactly what the issue was within a couple hours, and did not charge a dime for just looking at it. They are fair, give excellent service, and do great work. Excellent service! I had a problem, thought it was the starter. On this car starters are pretty pricey. Sean explained this all to me but went a step further to find out that there was some corrosion in the connections. Cleaned it up and it cost me way less. My father took all of our cars to Bob's Auto Repair for over 30 years and he was a man who was a stickler for quality work at a fair price. Bob's Auto never let him down and in all those years, he never took his car anywhere else. When I moved back to the area, I started going to Bob's too. As others have said, the one thing you can always count on from Bob's Auto Repair, besides the highest quality service, is honesty. Bob's is definitely a place you can trust. I recently had a fairly simple repair and Bob himself told me that it was something my husband could take care of and that he didn't want to charge me for it because it didn't seem right. When do you ever hear that these days? It's nice to see that there are still business owners who put honesty and integrity first. That's what you get at this shop. While I was there, I decided to have my oil changed and tires rotated. They were as fast, if not faster, as those "quick" box shops that end up charging you more than advertised because they talk you into things like premium oil, etc. The last $19.99 oil change I got at a box shop ended up costing closer to $50. I'll never do that again. Bob's Auto tells you up front what you can expect to pay and there are no hidden "extras". Bob's daughter Tracy is always a pleasure to deal with and all of the mechanics are professional, friendly and certified. Bob's Auto Repair gives old school customer service, not at all like the big box shops where they treat you like a number. my husband and I have been taking our cars to Bob for a few years now and they are awesome!!!! they are honest and you cant beat the prices. Just yesterday we had our 2000 Ford Explorer towed to them from Auto Express(we took it here because we have a warranty thru them) because Auto Express kept it for a week and said it was the anti theft system and we would have to take it to Ford. Bob received it last night after 6pm and called my husband at 8 am this morning and said a feather got into the manifold intake and the car was now fixed. They are awesome here!!!! we wont be taking our cars anywhere else...regardless of warranty! read more
