I gave him $425 to buy parts ( more than estimated just in case) and paid $550 for diagnostics and labor. Plus, I failed to ask for the parts receipt (my fault) but he intentionally did not give it to me or my change back. He didn't show up the 1st night because lost my address, then was an hour and a half late when he came for the 2nd appt.

I would've had to pay a lot more, get my car towed, AND wait until Monday at the earliest with anywhere else. Can't recommend Matthew enough! My husband and I really appreciate you.

Before he started he had a scanner that did all the necessary tests to determine it was the water pump...He had very professional tools and he treated my vehicle with utmost with respect. He tore it all down .While he tore it he found gasket for thermostat that he said replace .He pointed out other parts of the vehicle that had little minor things that he said needed replacing He really does care about one's vehicle. He saved me a lot of money. He said it's shame how these other shops rip people off.His main concern is to get you going and back on the road. He even when out of the way and got a thermostat gasket for me.And to beat it all an old gentleman was having trouble getting a lug nut off at the part store. You know he worked 4.5 hours on this water pump but he went got parts. This man is very concerned about your safety He charged me a fraction of what other stores charge. Please people use this man ,he is the best.I have never met a mechanic as thorough and safety minded as he.Thanks Justin your the best. Also thanks for helping that older gentleman at the part store , you are his hero as well.Lot of people dont care no more. But Justin is a throwback to the older and earlier times when people cared about other people.

When searching for a mechanic on Yelp, I didn't realize I was creating a potential project that…read moreproviders could respond to with quotes, etc. I needed my timing belt replaced because it was well past its proposed maintenance (I didn't even know you needed to replace a timing belt). Justin was one of the first to respond, asking me if I also needed a water pump (which I did but also didn't know - I verified with a mechanic friend). He was also the first to provide a proper written quote and it fit my budget. To be honest, I was a little worried about hiring someone without any visible reviews (but his hidden ones are very positive, they are just short) but Justin was so quick to respond, willing to work with my budget and schedule, that I decided to take a chance and I'm so glad I did. He's also mobile, which is a huge plus for me... I'm a single lady who can't just get help dropping my car off for all-day service. He will go to where the car is - even if it broke down in a Wendy's parking lot (true story). Justin worked his butt off on my car. It's a 2003, so it has all sorts of things going on and he ended up spending the entire weekend on my car (and needed to bring in a welder), and worked with me so well after I was worried that this whole project was going far beyond my budget. I now will trust Justin with all my mechanic work on my car. He informed me of what he was doing, recommended the next scheduled maintenance, and honestly was a joy to work with from start to finish. I look forward to my little Honda having a long and healthy life ahead of her, thanks to Justin.

Also needed brakes done for first time since new. In addition, the car has had a shutter or shimmy at 25 MPH forever and it needed the A/C repaired. VTC replace seems fine (included timing chain) and the brakes work well. Shimmy wasn't fixed and is still there, now at 28-32 MPH. A/C compressor was replaced along with the controller behind the dashboard. When I picked it up, the MAX A/C setting was not working right so took it back. They said it was over charged, but it was still the same after I picked it up. Charge was $4,100 which was not out of line, but I'm a little disappointed that some items weren't diagnosed and/or repaired correctly. UPDATE: A a result of my original posting, the owner contacted me and we took a ride. He experienced the shimmy problem and had me bring it back in. They serviced the transmission and fixed the shimmy problem. I also found out that the A/C was working correctly in that the MAX A/C setting wasn't supposed to change the fan speed as I thought it would. My bad! Upgraded my rating to EXCELLENT.
