i took my truck in and they said it was fixed after they test drove it and I didn't even get a mile down the road and the same problem I was told to bring it back in the Monday I drove it in to them and they are saying it's not what they did that all of a sudden my transmission was out they ran diagnostics the first time and the only transmission that was on there was change the fluid so how does that work and my truck that I drove in now won't move at all and they don't care did I get my money back no were they honest not at all the only thing that they care about is reviews and money read more

After being told by my dealership (Toyota) that they could not investigate a noise because I had "engine gunk" (still not sure why that was an excuse), I decided to seek out a second opinion as the rattling noise got worse. Another local shop that I will not name here told me my car was likely doomed, but they'd see if they could clean the gunk, but most cars with this issue are on their way out. This was before the competitor even examined my car. Now, I take extremely good care of my car so this was suspicious to me. Enter Day Heights, who did not tell me my car was about to expire, but rather said they'd take a look and go from there (wow, groundbreaking stuff, I know). Not only did they find the problem that the dealership couldn't (wouldn't??), they complimented my car's condition for being a 2008 model. They found the noise was the serpentine belt/water pump, and the "gunk" was minor, and it was from an oil leak. They replaced the pump/belt, and cleaned and patched the leak. My car is running better than it has in literal years, and now several months after the fact as I write this, it's still going strong. No noise, no shake. They even fixed something that was hanging down that made a noise when I turned my wheels - another thing the Toyota dealership said "ooof that's a bigger problem" and didn't do anything about. I had used them for basic oil changes etc. I thought they were a trusted source and attempted to have work done. It was a total bait and switch. After having my car for 5 hours, they called and apologized that the parts they orders (after market parts) were not correct and they had to get them from the OEM. They then increased my price by 38%! I called the OEM and realized that they had an upcharge on the parts by over 25% and refused to work with me. I asked for my car to be reassembled and the answer was "we will get to it by the end of the day". Horrible experience and I would not recommended them to anything other than an oil change. read more

Car repair places are busy, good mechanics are hard to find. But if they tell you Thursday of next week, they will do it on Thursday of next week. If they say it won't be finished until tomorrow at noon, then it will be done tomorrow at noon. I always look for missing bolts, scratches, damage or improper installation, and usually find it with other places. Never once here. read more

They take the time to answer all questions before, during and after the repairs. They are honest and upfront with their explanations. the auto service may be a good part of the company but the towing service , nothing but thieving liars. After being in a horrific car accident with my 7 month old , they tried to tell us we couldn't get our belongings , etc. ended up having to call state police for them to explain to these tyrants that what they were doing and saying was the law is completely illegal, (& based on their attitude I'd say it's a form fitting name). I never make reviews, never thought to. But this needs to be known for any young families that fall into a horrific situation and these horrible people try to pull one over on you too. read more

This is my preferred place for all my auto service. Sure it's a little out of the way for me, but the guys working here are very honest and do great work, I know I'm not going to get told I need something that I don't. The prices are great and the work is done fast. Everyone there is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I discovered this place on Groupon, and now I don't want to go anywhere else. This is a great option if you don't wanna deal with the shoddy work places like Car-X and Midas do. Day Heights gets it done right. So I paid a second visit to this shop and as I said, I would update the review from second experience. A few pros to using this shop as opposed to a dealership: -they seem to be technologically savvy. This is a good thing. I booked my appointment on their website and immediately received a confirmation, on a Sunday. -their service is quick. Today, I did an oil change and transmission service, regularly scheduled maintenance. Quick turn around for the services performed. -I brought my own air filter and they installed it. No problems. -the actual customer waiting area is nice. Coffee, water, and a tv playing. Clean. -convenient to my house, I drove by this place for a few years now and decided to finally give them a opportunity to win my service and I haven't been disappointed yet. Now, I do have one suggestion to the leadership of this fine establishment: Provide some sort of inspection service with your oil changes. One thing the dealerships have on this place is you get somewhat peace of mind with the standard inspection that comes with every oil change that tells you how your brakes are doing, where your battery is at, any leaks, what fluids they filled etc. Now, I just returned from a trip from driving across country and I actually requested a full vehicle inspection when I booked my appointment. There seemed to be somewhat of a disconnect to the comments I entered at time of booking to when I showed up to my appointment as I had to explain everything I already wrote on your booking website. No big deal, actually. Where I was surprised at, when my vehicle was finished I didn't receive any kind of paperwork showing what kind of inspection was completed or anything. I actually had to ask the service writer did the tech find anything wrong? Now don't get me wrong, I didn't even get charged for an inspection, I'm sure they done a quality inspection, but my point is, it would be a great service to your customers to provide that "inspection log" that shows someone checked off on certain things. This didn't retract at all from the service I received today. The service writer was as polite and courteous as the first time I was there. Just take that suggestion into consideration and I will see you in 3000ish miles. read more

These guys are the best. It's never fun taking your car in for service but they make the process as painless as possible.

Good service, until you tell them they made a 2nd mistake about the same thing. Guys don't know the difference between a driver side tie rod end and a drive side wheel bearing. Too unorganized, they even printed out a paper stating it was the passenger side and when I called the guy there Jamie (service manager) told me "oh that's my bad, it's the driver side" then told me they will have to turn me away if I bring it back bc I'm not replacing the part they need replaced. I took it to Smyth and O'Rylies they both agree that day heights are mistaken on the part that needs replaced. So NOTE: when your tire has play in it and is loose from left to right it's really the wheel bearing NOT!! the tie rod end. read more

A perfect example of exemplary customer service and workmanship!

My Uncle Dean is one of the greatest human beings on the planet. The man is well into his 70s and still races stock cars. He owns a body shop in Reading, OH. He's a genuinely cool cat...a certifiable bad-ass even...and he has set the bar for how I feel like I should be treated by other auto mechanically-inclined people. That said, the guys at Day Heights Auto Service hit that bar pretty nicely. I'd been having some problems with my car battery...and by problems I mean that the thing was almost completely discharged. How did I find this out? Completely by chance. These guys happend to be the ones who got called out to give me a tow to the dealership. However, instead of getting the tow, the guy (I really wish I could remember his name because he was a genuinely good guy) managed to get me started. He then proceeded to offer to check the battery and take a quick look for free. I figured I didn't have anything to lose, seeing that the place is about a mile-and-a-half up the street from me. So I took the car up and sure enough he found that the battery was shot. They were honest and said they couldn't do any further diagnostics due to the battery not being able to hold a charge. They offered to get a battery and switch it out for me, but I was under the (false) impression the dealership would take care of that for me. Afterall, my car only has 26K miles on it. They also said that 'it should be covered'. WIthout getting into any detail, I'll just state that after I left Day Heights, it was a complete debacle on the dealer's part. Flash forward to a wasted day-and-a-half later when I called up Day Heights and asked if they could still do the work. Jamie Kellerman was kind, immediately helpful, and was set to do the work. After retrieving my car from the dealership, I brought it back to Day Heights and they had me set to go by the end of the day. And they did the work for half the price. In fact, it was even LOWER than half the price of what the dealer quoted. Now...we're not talking genius work here. It doesn't take a lot to change out a battery. However, if we're talking general work ethic and a genuine interest in just being cool to another person, I think these guys are the real deal. That makes all the difference in the world. I can also safely say the majority of people I've dealt with in my life that treat others like this have a tendency to reflect that same positivity and excellence in their work. It pays to treat people well no matter what the situation. It pays to be respectful and kind even when it' might not seem in your best interest right at the moment. These guys did that. And while I don't exactly WANT to find myself having to bring my car in for repairs, if I do, I will definitely be bringing my vehicle back here. I'd recommend them to anyone. read more

In the market to purchase a used 1 ton truck, I reached out to Day Heights Auto Service to evaluate potential diesel trucks given their expertise and knowledge in diesel cars and trucks. Day Heights did a full and complete evaluation, provided a print out of results in a very timely fashion and at a reasonable price. Also, given I live in Cincinnati and their shop is located in Milford they offered to pick up the trucks from two local car dealer's saving me a lot of time and stress. I called AllState Roadside Assistance for a tow, which then contacted Tim from Day Heights. Although I'm still irritated with AllState, I can't rave enough about how pleased we were with Tim. I was so frustrated, but Tim was calm, knowledgeable and professional. He perfectly flatbed towed my Buick to my house, plus gave my daughter and me a ride home in his tow truck, which was actually fun since he was so personable.
