This place is a small town bar/grill just outside south bend. I've been there a couple times now and feel that it is a mediocre spot for eats and drinks. Decently priced drink specials and an extensive menu. Salads looked huge and they should be for 10.00. Most of the items seem a little overpriced. Burgers are 10.99 and fairly small. Everything i've had has been par or better but i've seen some disasters at my table as well. (I.e. sesame salmon?) Service is ok but they can be very passive with their attention. Had lunch there yesterday. I had thePollack lunch with potato pancakes and fresh potato salad. It was excellent as usual. The waitresses are all very nice and attentive too. The owner Rich is always very friendly and observant and hands on to make sure everything is satisfactory. I definitely recommend for lunch or dinner. Great specials and a nice variety of items. My favorite is the Nacho burger. My sons favorite is the chicken philly sandwich. Its all good. You can't go wrong. read more

I was very dissatisfied with this place as it was my first time eating here. When we were sitting, it was extremely cold with the fans blowing on us. So, we had to switch tables. I ordered a cheese pizza, but when I got it, it was hard on the bottom of the crust and the cheese was very dried up. It seemed as though it was a cheap frozen pizza. One of my family members got burnt chicken tenders and cold potatoes. So, it was brought back to the kitchen, and he ordered something else instead. Also, they did not bring out the food at the same time, so some had to wait while others received their food. The only reason I chose to give this review 2 stars instead of 1 was because the staff was friendly, and the fish was good. However, I would not come back here again. read more

I went there for lunch with my uncle on 8/6/11, and he said that they have good burgers. I had the patty melt, twice baked potato, and applesauce. The twice baked was really good, served in a cup, but had good flavor. The applesauce had real apple chunks and cinnamon flavour, and I liked it. (But i'm a big fan of cinnamon). I'd go back again. We USE to frequent Bob's 19th Hole, using past tense because tonight was the worst experience we have ever had there. Waited an hour for a table (to be expected on a Friday night but that's not our beef. We ordered our food and anticipated a longer wait because our friend ordered fried chicken, our husband's friend order soup and sandwich and my husband and I order the Pollack. Our friends received their food and we waited at least 10 minutes if not longer for our food to arrive. Fish was hot, but the twice baked potatoes were not hot and my baked beans were anything but hot and you could tell they'd been sitting around for awhile. Grace, our server, never asked me if I wanted another drink and my husband had to flag her down and ask for another beverage. We asked to speak to the owner (she was there when we asked but obviously didn't care to speak to us or the server never told her and left for the night). So our server said the cook (Zack) was going to talk to us. After my husband told him of our experience all he could do is offer excuses, never apologized and got an attitude. While waiting for our server to take our money I noticed at another table one person got their food while the others at their table waited. It appears there are a lot of new faces working there too. My husband this is our last time going there and mind you we would drive 1/2 an hour to go there. This is very disappointing and I know if the former owner Richard Schroeder was still there, this would not be happening! read more

Food was excellent and service was speedy. Went with a party of 5. We ordered nachos as an appetizer, and they arrived about five minutes later. Despite every ordered something different, our food all arrived together about 8 mins after putting our orders in. I had the French Dip sandwich, which is colossal and delicious. My side was vegetables. My girlfriend had the Ultimate Burger (I think that was the name). It came with the most bacon I've seen come on a burger, without asking for extra bacon, and the patty was seasoned perefectly. Only the fries left something to be desired. They were overcooked, and in comparison to all the fresh tasting entrees, I think they should go for skin on or homemade fries. read more

I never have a bad experience when I go here. One of the best local restaurants on the west side. The owner is always seen walking around and conversing with the regulars who come in. The servers are attentive and down to earth. The food is nothing necessarily unique, but it's consistent and satisfying. Overall a welcoming atmosphere! Try the twice baked potato! read more

Great food, yet the restaurant is kind of trashy. Went in the middle of summer and their a/c unit was leaking all over me and my table.

Wow. The worst experience I've had in a long time. Walking in the door the floor mat was rolled up with no warning right in front of the door and I tripped on it. After that the waitress was rude the entire meal to my father and myself. She told us we needed to hurry because there was ONLY an hour before closing and she never said you're welcome even after many thank yous. No water refills. The food was fish and it was dry and it seemed nothing was cooked appropriately. For the waitress alone I would avoid this place. Red hair older lady. read more

Read the reviews and gave it a try. Standard bar food. Friend got General Tso's chicken--chicken nuggets in sauce with rice. Boring. I got the pot roast. While the meat was tender and the mashed potatoes were okay, the gravy was mediocre. The green beans were canned and not good. Probably better to stick with burgers. read more

I took a friend for lunch there today. We got there at 1:00 on a Tuesday. One other table with two guys was in the bar area. Should have good service right? Nope! Our waitress hung out with the guys at the other table! She only brought my friends food out ( the bartender brought mine out) and never asked if we wanted refills. Food was good. Service sucked. Pretty decent place to get any number of food items. Had the pork tenderloin sandwich for dinner and the Wisconsin cheese platter for an appetizer. Not the healthiest of options, but delicious on all counts. I don't think I have a bad item there yet. read more

went there for my daughters birthday and waited 90min. to get our food that wasnt worth waiting for.my ribeye philly was burnt to a crisp.grandaughters fish dinner was so undercooked she could not eat it.2 of our 7 dinners ordered the potato pancakes and they also were not edible,they were burnt.grandsons fries were also not edible,burnt! my girlfriend ordered the chicken strips but she only got 1 side instead of 2 and the side she got was the burnt potato pancakes.gave us a free baked cookie to go but also was burnt when we got home.we complained to our waitress be she still charged us 45.00 dollars for food we had to wait for that we couldnt even eat.we all left hungry. this was one bad dinning deal!! overpriced inedible bar food,be careful here. read more
