Came here a few times and I must say they have the best marketing and asethics of any Boba shop hands down. From the unique interior, the Boba cups, to the carryout bag. They really think of the marketing and packaging of their brand. OK.. To the donuts and drinks. The donuts are good.. I am not the biggest fan of mochi donuts at all but I do like their unique flavors. The drinks are pretty good.. I go for their brown sugar usually. I prefer to order that here vs their fruit drinks. I was mostly curious... I had some time to kill while my child had batting practice at a batting cage in Martinez. I saw this place was nearby... it was pouring out and I thought I could really use some coffee. So I went here... Kind of a cute little hangout with friends if you're in junior high. There's even a few actual swings you could sit on and a little ball pit for young ones so if you're a mom with toddlers in tow in need of caffeine or a treat this is a good spot to hit... although this ball pit was not in the best tip top shape.... For 1 hot latte and a few mochi donuts for some friends I waited 20 minutes. During this time I watched the two employees crank out boba orders and customers who ordered after me get their orders. Yet, I waited patiently because I know it's not easy. After the first 10 minutes I get up to take a look at their progress. I noticed a cup that was sitting on the espresso machine. I was fairly certain that was supposed to be my latte. Still, I waited; I sat back down without a complaint. Maybe they were swamped. Taking online orders and walk in orders, as well as orders from Doordarsh, so I thought maybe my order was just in the long queue. After another 10 minutes ticks by and I look around to see if the big family who ordered at the same time as me was still there but they had already long gone. I get up to look again and that cup was still sitting in the same place. The girl finally looked in the cup but looked confused as she looked at the contents, confirming what I was thinking. Then she proceeded to look through the iPad, presumably for the ticket that went with this partially prepared cup of something. Regardless to say I finally got my $9.10 LUKEWARM latte (double shot, almond milk). It was alright I guess but definitely not worth the severely inflated cost and 20 minute wait. I will say she tried to compensate for the lost ticket with an extra mochi donut but it wasn't something I wanted so I turned it down. read more

went here for the first time last weekend! I tried their prickly pear Boba, it was some thing I had never tried before but when I got home, I added more water. Their Boba was delicious almost as good as Boba guys. You could order through a huge iPad along the wall with a not so great user interface. In all seriousness, though, when you visit Bober in Martinez by the Walmart, this will more than likely be your first reaction, especially if you visit here when it gets dark, because it's really just a giant pink neon sign. Bober Tea & Coffee has finally opened here in Martinez, having taken over the Wingstop that used to be here. As mentioned already it's in the same shopping center as the Walmart in Martinez, and on the Home Depot side of the shopping center. The decor is something else, that's for sure. Pink on pink on pink on pink on flowers. It's everywhere, but not that it's a bad thing. I've been to other Bober's, and this one definitely went the full mile on the decor, bravo. The place is a self ordering system, so when you walk in just head left to the kiosks that are there. Bober Tea & Coffee offers boba, coffee, tea, fruit drinks, and a very important part for many, mochi donuts. I'll mainly just talk about the boba at this location. Ordered two of the basic milk teas today. Just be aware, they use a different kind of tea, so for many people this will likely taste much more obscure, but not necessarily in a bad way. It will not be your typical milk tea, so don't come in with that expectation. It's pretty sweet, and the boba was nicely made, so no major complaints there. It's not the best milk tea I've ever had, but because of how different it was, made it more interesting. Pricing wise, not bad, but is a bit on the pricier side. Luckily, there aren't really that many boba specific options here, although, you could walk down to the Hawaiian BBQ place for a cheaper version for less, but the quality will vary, so don't see these as competition. My main complaint is that they put SO much ice into their drinks. I don't even remember being given an option to adjust it during checkout, even though they asked me to add a mochi donut for three bucks, but adjusting ice and sugar was not a part of that formula. Just to give you an idea how much ice was in it. When I got home, I decided to put it on the counter in the kitchen in the sunlight. After about half an hour, there was still more than half of the ice that had been in there previously that wasn't melted down. This is unfortunately one of my pet peeves for boba places, so will dock some points for that. With how much the drink costs to how much ice they cram into the cup, it did seem a bit overboard. Will be back again in the future since I'm always down here anyways for other things in the shopping center, but may have to leave it out again in the sun to melt down some of the chunks of ice they like to put into my cup. And of course, how to come back for the decor, because it really is something else. read more

I've heard of this business ever since I was finishing up college. I never went during my college days but I am so excited that I finally got to try this place! They offer these regular boba cups but also in champagne bottles. They also sell mochi donuts too. Ordering wise, there are 2 kiosks on the wall and it is quick and simple. Service was nice and friendly. I also am in LOVE with the decor! I would honestly love to do more content creation with their establishment since the products really match the interior. The Signature was way too sweet for me, but I don't recall having an option to lessen the sweetness, but then again, I felt the pressure to hurry as I had a line buildup behind me. You can order drinks like Taro or Matcha and chose the percentage of sweet , you want in it. You can chose how many donut you want they sale 1 , 3,6, or 12. Once they call your name you can chose the flavors, they do take a bit of time to prepare however is perfect, because you can take super cute pictures while is ready. My friend and I were hanging out for lunch and he told me about a tea shop that opened up in Martinez by the Walmart. I'm always down to try new tea shops, so off we went to this place. The moment you step in, I can only describe this place mainly as one word: Pink. There is a lot of pink everywhere and the backdrop really is a good place to take pictures. I didn't try the mochi donuts, so my review is on the tea. Strawberry Tea: I felt more of a fruit tea today then a milk tea so I got this today. I have been noticing places called "Bober Tea" in the Bay Area but have yet to visit one. This was the first "Bober" franchise we visited, and the first thing I noticed were the swings and top-to-bottom walls covered in pink flowers! So pretty!! One of the prettiest boba shops I have visited. They have 2 self-service kiosks to the left when you enter. The place is super kid-friendly too. There was even a (narrow) ball pit (not open to use when we visited). The staff and customers were friendly and social (and we visited 2x in one day). Since we just popped in out of convenience, I wasn't sure what to expect of the drinks. My hubby got the pink pear green tea with lychee & I got a matcha milk tea. I loved both drinks a lot. We also got a dozen donuts here which was enough to sample each flavor and then just chose a chocolate for the extra 2. Chocolate flavors are the best! My second and third best were the fruity pebbles and the blue ones. Some flavors did taste overly fake to me like a cheap cake frosting but the dough was cool, a little different than normal donuts & overall, I loved trying everything. I almost prefer the plain one since the frosted ones are soooo sweet, but the frosted ones are super cute and hard to resist. The place is super pink! Pink everything. What an awesome surprise in Martinez! My girls love Bober, but I wasn't such a fan when we first tried it in Sac. Took my girls this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised with the cuteness and the mochi donuts. I had the Chizu Strawberry Green Tea, which was sooooo good! The fresh mashed strawberries with the sweet cheese cream was delicious. The only issue I had with it was the amount of ice which took up about 3/4 of the cup so I'll definitely ask for less ice next time. The mochi donuts were perfectly crispy on the outside and chewy in the inside. I liked the funnel cake mochi ones best! The iced ones were overly sweet, which was expected. I enjoy experiencing the crispy chewiness of a mochi donut without it being overpowered with icing. I placed an online order for pickup, they refused to give me my order even though I had email confirmation showing that I placed it because she "didn't want to get fired for giving out a free drink". Her story was apparently Bober was bought out by another company or person, idk if it's a franchise. She didn't have access to the online orders and they said I had to order another one in person. They gave me a phone number on a napkin and told me to "call this number to get a refund" 916-850-5694. Call for yourselves, it's generic voice mailbox that I keep getting. They told me it was the new person in charge and that was what they were told to do. I'm going to be reaching out to Better Business Bureau either under Bober or the new company and making a formal complaint. That's straight robbery. read more

First of all the shop is cute! Had swing seats, but disclaimers said not to swing on the set... it was highly tempting. Pink overload in the store! Order the matcha latte with the recommended 75% sweetness. It was good, I normally prefer my matcha sweet, so I should have stuck with the 100 percent. But still good none the less. The stir fried boba was good! Different taste to it than how normal boba is cooked. To get my drink felt a little long, although we did go there around 8ish. read more
