Found this boba shop on the way home from OC to LA. Great find! I like fresh milk in my teas because creamers have a funny taste to me so I'm glad they had the fresh milk option. Ceylon tea is one of my favorite black teas and their Ceylon tea latte did not disappoint, good tea flavor and not too sweet. I like my drinks with a strong tea base and I usually get quarter sugar since I don't like sweet drinks and I also don't like drinks that are too milky. Customer service was fast, friendly and efficient. You could really tell that they were experienced and knew what they were talking about. I love boba shops that really care about the ingredients they put into their drinks and also ones that make you feel taken care of and this is the vibe I got just from the one interaction I had. While we were waiting for our drinks my friend noticed the news article framed on the wall about how the owners are a couple who met at a boba shop and now opened their own boba shop years later! I love a good boba shop meet cute and to the owners if they see this, I hope your boba shop lasts a long time!! Drinks and service were great. Will definitely come back! Also really love their logo. Besides having one of the most friendly but not annoying sales people up front, the tea was also pretty damn good. My wife got the jasmine milk tea with boba and I got the seasonal black milk tea with cookies and cream foam. I tried the foam by itself, and that was great, but it was even better when mixed into the tea! Also some cool wall designs to get that IG shot. First time trying this boba location in my hometown. Thought the drinks looked similar to Omomo so I wanted to try it out with my friend. It's not Omomo-like at all. Cashier seemed new but was unenthusiastic with questions I asked. Also asked when store first opened but I wasn't expecting a "shrug". Alright.. very mediocre customer service. We got one drink with boba and another one without. They forgot the boba. We come back inside, shift leader (maybe) doubled checked our ticket on whether we got boba, but the BIGGEST red flag was that she allowed the drink my friend already sipped from to open the lid so she can add boba in. With my 6+ years of food service, you throw away the whole drink and/or give them a new entire drink. Especially while Covid is still happening? This is completely against food handling regulations. I was astonished that happened. The drinks were good though, but I would not return to a boba place where workers don't know basic food/drink handling. Absolute absurd. read more

Not the best milk tea in OC, but perhaps the best in Orange. Boba is at least consistently fresh here and prices are reasonable. High quality plastic cups is a nice touch and the environment is usually clean. I come here relatively often after eating next door, and it makes for a convenient and refreshing spot to end an evening. We've been coming for the last few years and have explored about the entire menu, nothing has disappointed. I would give this place zero rating if I could. I came by for the first time today with my bestfriend and we ordered the passion fruit yogurt and a yogurt green tea and both came out disgusting!!!! One drink was watery with no flavor and the other one was super sweet. We asked if the passion fruit can be adjusted by adding green tea or something to dilute the drink and the cashier said no. They're located in an older looking plaza but the inside is clean, modern and decorated in cool grey tones that make it a great place to do work or have a quiet conversation. You won't find loud pop music blasting here. The menu has a good selection of teas from traditional teas to fruit teas to cheese foam teas. I went with a simple Ceylon Black Milk Tea ($4.25) and added boba ($0.50). They allow you to customize your sugar and ice level, so I opted for less sugar (75%) with less ice and it was just the right amount of sweetness. The black tea was refreshing and flavorful. Their boba is clear and had a good chewiness, but it didn't have much taste to it. I would prefer a more traditional honey boba, but it still satisfied my craving. From the short conversation I had with the owner and watching them make their drinks, it's obvious they put a lot of thought and care into what they do here. Their prices are in the mid to high range, so it would be nice if they started a loyalty card. If in the area, I would definitely come back here for a boba fix. Been going here ever since they opened and Harris & Yuki are the dream team when it comes to their delicious and magical concoctions. Their Ceylon milk tea and tikuayin oolong milk teas are so solid with their freshly boba (toothsome and sweet) or some egg pudding for a nice flan-like mouthfeel. However, their seasonal specials are off the charts and everything from their grapefruit green tea with aiyu jelly and their cookies & cream foam in the winter is made with so much love. I was sad when they were closed for a couple months due to COVID last year but when they opened, you bet I came over to support! I went on a weekday afternoon and it was quite empty. It was also really quiet without any music so it felt slightly eerie. The worker was quite prompt and cheery, which I really appreciated. He took out order right away and my friend and I waited. I got the peach passion smoothie with half sugar and wow it was still really sweet. I was a little disappointed because I would have thought it would have been at least a bit less sweet. The boba also wasn't too great. It must have been sitting around for a while but I know that's a bit unfair, considering this place didn't have a lot of customers rolling and there was only one worker. This place is located in the same plaza as Holdaak which is a plus with lots of parking. There's a good amount of drink options. I ordered the passion fruit black tea with boba. The boba was light colored and chewy. The sweetness from the passion fruit was balanced out by the bitterness from the black tea. Drinks range from $4.50-6. Boba is an add on of 0.75 which is more than other boba shops. You can tell the owner really cares about the quality of tea being served. read more

But happy to say that I think we found the best option for tea in BobaTEAque. Their drinks are similar to Happy Lemon but with real cheese and better, unique boba. First of all, as I walked around taking pictures, the owner started talking to me and telling me that there was a picture of the menu online. After I told him I was a member of YES, he felt honored that I was there to try out his place. After awhile, we began chatting with him and learning more about how they started and getting the inside scoop of his business. I am a boba addict and I find boba whenever I'm out. All over Orange County and beyond, I have tried so many different boba places. This is, hands down, my favorite! I get the milk teas with half sweet and boba. The black tea is strong and bold, but not bitter. The jasmine is floral and somehow tastes like the flower smells without being cloying. The Oolong is my favorite though, with so many layers of flavor, you could use the words wine people use when describing it's flavor. You know how there's shooting whiskey and sipping whiskey? This is a sipping boba. It tastes delicious as soon as it's in your mouth, but then the flavors develop into something more, and there is even a delicious taste in your mouth after you swallow. I usually drink my tea and enjoy it, this tea I savor. And the boba is delicious and has a great texture as well. Plus the people there are very nice. It's the same cost as other boba places, for much better quality. No bitterness, not too sweet, it lets the tea flavors come though beautifully. I still enjoy this place for boba, but find myself getting more dismayed by their pricing, as I still don't feel it's really justified for what you get.
