We've been to Boban in Chino Hills multiple times now and so far it's been consistently good. My kids really enjoy their drinks, and the pork rice bowl has become one of their favorites. My son especially likes the au jus bánh mì and has ordered it a few times already. I also really like their Vietnamese coffee -- strong, flavorful, and very good. The prices are also pretty reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, which is another plus. Overall, we've had a good experience every time we've visited. Good food, good drinks, good prices, and definitely a place we'll keep coming back to. read more

One of the best bánh mì I've had! The shredded beef was tender, juicy, and generous, and the extra pâté + mayo were definitely worth it! The au jus was such a game changer--so much extra flavor and made dipping the bánh mì even better! The Lychee Matcha Tea was so good! Review # 20 for 2026 I love me some banh mi! I have been eagerly waiting for this place to open even since I saw the sign for it. Well, it finally opened and I'm glad to see more banh mi places popping up. This place is in the Albertsons shopping area across from the shoppes. Service was friendly. The vibe is very calming. There are plenty of tables to sit at. The atmosphere is very inviting. There is also water out. I got the cold cut banh mi $8.50 and the beef with aus jus $12, along with a iced Vietnamese coffee. The bread was crispy. The sandwiches were loaded! The meat to bread portion was very generous. The cold cut was delicious! I got the beef for my husband and he really liked it. I didn't try the au jus broth but he said it was really good. I did try some of the beef and it was very tender. As far as the coffee, I'm such a coffee addict and I typically drink Vietnamese coffee, so the coffee did not hit the spot like I was hoping. I wanted a more rich tasting coffee. I would like to however try some of the coconut and matcha drinks. Would I come back? Yes I would! The banh mi was really good and worth the money as it was packed with meats. Was hitting up the grocery store and saw that Boban finally opened. Plenty of parking in this shopping center. The entrance faces north, so you don't ever have to worry about direct sun. Def looks new. There is a calm vibe. Love the earthy tones and soft but upbeat music. It is brightly lit due to the full window frontage, but you don't have to worry about direct, since the frontage faces north. There is plenty of seating...at least 20 seats (chairs and benches). The place offers wifi. However, i did not try it. I received an immediate, friendly greeting. The menu is fairly small with banh mi, bowls (banh mi in a bowl without bread?) and tea and coffee drinks. I asked for the worker to suggest something to win me as a customer. Without hesitation, he said BBQ Pork Banh Mi and Green Thai Tea. I got them as-is with no adjustments. The Grern Thai Tea does have a lighter, less-sweet flavor than a regular Thai Tea. Def would get it again. The BBQ Banh Mi comes on a toasted french bread with plenty of meat and veggies...carrots, onions, jalapeños, cilantro...and bbq sauce and mayo. Slightly different than the typical banh mi but pretty tasty. On the downside (IMO), i could taste the pickled veggies. I really love the typical vinegar flavor, but the mayo and BBQ sauce took front and center. And if you don't like your sandwich falling apart, this is not for yomeat, veggies, and flavor spilled all over the place...that's what I'm talking about! read more

Their banh mis are really good and taste really high quality. I also really like their Vietnamese coffee. I liked it so much that I came back two days in a row. The first time I came in, I ordered two banh mis and an iced coffee, but unfortunately they forgot my coffee. Customer service is okay. You order through a machine, so there isn't much interaction. For the coffee cold foam, it is an extra $1, but they give very little. I wish they were a little more generous with it, especially since it's an additional charge. Overall, the food and coffee are really good and definitely worth coming back for. read more

Customer Service: No one greeted us when we stepped up to the counter. They gave us another customer's drink order. They forgot to add sweetener to the matcha drink. You have to order the beef sandwich or the beef bowl with the Biscoff Coffee. The food and service is excellent, the ambience is very nice and it is very clean. It's full of mayo, barely any carrots or daikon, the cucumbers are sliced like an American sandwich and only has 2 small thin slices, and the bread has a weird texture, it's not a french baguette bread. Even Lee's Sandwich is better than this. They need to call this a mayo sandwich. I'm Vietnamese and this is a disgrace to our culture. read more

We came on opening day but we had already had dinner so we thought we would try a couple drinks. I got the Tiger Milk Tea and my wife got the Strawberry Matcha and took them to go. We didn't start drinking until we drove away but our drinks were not very sweet. The boba had no sweetness at all, they probably forgot to put in brown sugar or honey after cooking it. The sugar on the cup helped save my drink. My wife's drink was also not sweet. She was kinda ok with it but if it was my drink I wouldn't have liked it. AMAZING!!! Stumbled across this place today and it was so good!!! The guy worker was so nice! He helped me explain 1-2 items I was contemplating on getting. They sell banh mi's, bowls and salads. They also have boba teas and coffee. I ended up getting the Pho Beef Banh Mi and will probably always get that!!! It comes with a consommé which is good, but you don't need it because the sandwich is flavorful. But get the consommé because it comes with it and definitely goes with it. my family decided to try boban after ding tea closed down. the interior of the shop was really pretty and the menu looked appealing. we ordered three original brown sugar boba milk teas and one thai tea with boba. they were not sweet at all, so we asked if they could make them a little sweeter. my thai tea tasted similar from before they changed it. but i drank it. however, the other three had the strangest most off putting taste i've ever had. they tasted almost bitter and sour, and then had a sweet after taste like honey. overall, i might come back to try the fruit juice drinks, maybe the matcha, not anything else. i appreciate the workers remaking our drinks with no charge though. read more
